Had an appointment with Mia back in April, was too shaken/shocked to write a review back then. I have a very standard medium bob haircut I have been getting once a year for the past 5 years. I have textured hair, and the hair stylists typically use texturizing scissors or shears to reduce the volume on the bob. This is the first time someone literally hacked off parts of my hair (so one side literally looked like a kid had tried to cut my hair), then confessed they'd never used shears before. I scheduled a hair maintenance appointment on Wednesday, July 09th for the very next day, Thursday, July 10th. I assumed everything was confirmed--I even rearranged my work schedule and prepared to drive over 45 minutes to the salon, expecting a relaxing, quality experience based on the vibe they promote online. Instead, I got a last-minute cancellation notice just two hours before my appointment--no explanation, no apology, and no attempt to reschedule. It felt careless and unprofessional. I was really looking forward to trying a new salon that seemed to offer great service in a welcoming space, but this experience makes me question how much they actually value their clients' time and trust. This is for the curly girls. I see Michelle with Love June Salon, and she is a curl NINJA. I have 2B/2C wavy/curly hair and it can be difficult to define. Michelle is amazing - when I first came to see her, my hair was a weird triangular pompom and I wasn't even sure I *had* curly hair. She was able to shape my hair, and she also gives excellent advice on care and products. It's very difficult to find someone with solid experience on curly (and wavy!) hair. The most horrifying experience with Natalie... I can't believe my hair still looked like this after two trips, total of 6 hours and $600+. Should've saved my money and spent it on a litter robot ‍ p.s. I don't think coloring three different clients hair at a time was a good idea. Everything seemed rushed through, my ears were burnt several times. Next time, maybe stop chatting to your co worker so much and focus on what your clients want. First time at this salon and just got one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten in Seattle! I have thick wavy-ish hair and a history of bad luck with bangs, but I've been determined to have them. I googled photos of "bangs for round faces" and found a couple I liked. I brought them to the stylist, Brooklyn, who confirmed that the styles were doable but warned the bangs might require some upkeep due to the way my hair likes to fall and curl. I accepted this and she proceeded. I looove the cut she gave me. It had been about 8 months since my last salon visit, so I definitely had split ends, but Brooklyn managed to cut all the dead stuff and keep my hair long. And the bangs are awesome! I'm just air-drying my hair at the moment and the bangs are perfectly falling into place. Again, I've NEVER had bangs that fall into place . I've now also received dye/gloss services from Natalie (owner) and Madison, who are both just as lovely and talented as Alexis. I am very indecisive about my hair so I appreciate professionals who can help guide me with what will work well for my hair type! Not to mention the vibes are immaculate, they care about their clients but they also are pros who will be honest about what's possible for your hair, which I appreciate. I wanted to love this place - I followed an amazing colorist here from her previous salon. However, I was greatly disappointed in how they handled my appointment when I first booked with them. First, they canceled my appointment the day before because of the anticipated snow making it unsafe for employees to make it in to the salon. Totally understandable. However, rather than help and prioritize clients whose appointments were affected, we were told to reschedule on their website. I was trying to refresh my color before my birthday/engagement party, so I needed something quickly. I rescheduled for my day off, however I am a healthcare worker and we are in the middle of the pandemic. Due to staff shortages from Covid exposures, I was called in. I called the salon as soon as they opened to let them know of my situation and we tried to push my appointment back to later in the day so I could try to make it. However, surgery doesn't work that way and I missed my appointment. I understand that I was inside of the 48 hour cancellation policy and was willing to pay a no-show fee, hoping they might grant me some compassion given the entire situation, including when they canceled on me for something outside of their control. Instead, they charged me for 100% of my service ($200), informed me there would be no exceptions, and that the only way to speak to the owner was via email. I love my colorist, but if a salon cannot be flexible or understanding given the current state of things, I do not want to work with them. I hope you have better luck! read more

Madison did my color and Alexis did my cut. Both of them took their time to consult with me about my hair goals and steer me in the right direction to achieve them.
