Patak's curry sauce is my go to for a quick Indian dinner. Yes I could make Josh Rogan or Tikka…read morefrom scratch, but this is my quick dinner solution. I just want to open a jar and add some stuff. Patak's sauces are pretty darn good for that. Weirdly all grocery stores seem to be out of Patak's. Likely a tariff situation. But YELP found me this Indian grocery store. It's small but has a great selection!! There are prepared frozen foods, tamarind chutney, pickles, a ton of herbs and a selection of sweets. And Patak's! Pretty much every kind made. Also the store smells divine!!!

I asked the store owner for a refund for two of the boxes, but he refused to give me a refund at first, and used hand gestures asking me to go away. When I insisted, he mentioned his store doesn't offer refunds. Then he asked me to buy other items in exchange, but still wouldn't refund me. When I threatened to complain online, he said it's Haldiram's problem and that I should contact them. Afterwards, he agreed to refund me for just one (whereas both of the boxes I wanted to return were intact). Afterwards, he started asking me what country I'm from, about my education and much more - all the while in a very rude tone.

You can really tell there's care and authenticity behind the cooking. The textures and seasoning were spot on across the board, from the rich, comforting stew to the perfectly spiced meatballs and vibrant dips. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully balanced. On top of that, the service was exceptional. Farshad, the owner, went above and beyond by including a complimentary herb yogurt dip and even an extra order of rice, which was such a generous and appreciated touch. His wife Nazanin was also very helpful when we went to pick up food for sa Highly recommend Komaaj Catering if you're looking for delicious, well-crafted food and warm, thoughtful service. We'll definitely be ordering again!

All your senses will go in over drive, from flavor to aroma to presentation. You cannot find kinder, more gracious people. Absolutely enjoyed working with Chef Hanif and everyone behind Komaaj. Exquisitely run from start to finish. And what do I recommend besides everything.... everything! Ok but seriously... My most favorite are the smoked fished on toasted Persian bread, the bite size cucumbers, eggplant kabobs, and *omg* their signature olives! Cannot wait to experience one of their popup events now! The only familiar place I once headed many times was Cow Palace. That place once hold The Great Dickens Christmas Fair yearly just as it also holds 626 Market. This was a good opportunity to try good places in Visitation Valley where I value at least one small local business. And The Good Chocolate was the perfect target. Judging by what's inside the entrance, I could've sworn that this chocolatier was closed. But if I were to open and get a good peek, a modest female worker was kind enough to let me in. Quite a tiny space to buy chocolate bars, at least I can fit right in to purchase one of them. Ranging from bite size to the regular chocolate bars, the highest percentage one can get is 65% Cacao. Despite the decent amount of flavonoids, one certain ingredient in each bars called "Erythritol" is sustainable enough to make up to a consumer such as myself. Not my favorite chocolatier, it was such a pleasant experience. I'm sure I'll be waiting for one magical cacao café to find its retail space throughout my hometown. If anyone likes chocolate bars that's 65% or lower, The Good Chocolate is right up your alley.

I just tried a little sample square because I was unsure if I was going to like it. Actually, it was pretty good. You can definitely tell it's not your standard chocolate bar, but it's still tasty. The almond square had a nice texture with little pieces throughout, but I'd still say it could use a bit more almond flavor. But not bad, and cool packaging as well.
