Mark gave me all of the info that I needed, gave me prices and he will be coming out next week for a walk around. We will install in a few weeks. It took me about 24 hours to remember the company name, not a reflection on them, just my advancing age. I recognized them by their yellow logo and then I had instant name recognition! While I understand scheduling challenges, the lack of responsiveness and empathy during a clear malfunction was disappointing. They installed and aimed cameras on my neighbor's home that look into my windows and backyard. My neighbor has then used these cameras to see when I am out as well as my and my families activities in my home. When I called to inform them how their system was being used and requested that the camera be redirected they refused and stated that it is my neighbor's right to film into my home. The customer service rep hung up on me when I asked for his name. I would not recommend using a company that supports voyeurism/stalking of people and their families.

In my opinion you have two choices in this industry - big company like Comcast, or a local company like OmniGuard. I picked and am staying with OmniGuard for three reasons: 1. The primary alarm monitoring system, through Alarm.com is bulletproof. We've had some alarms go off when we weren't in town. The police showed up. If there is urgent issues, they are on the phone with you immediately. 2. The service side - OmniGuard is local and will fix your issues. They are small, and sometimes they can drop the ball, but they always make it right. When you call they are respectful and helpful. 3. Price points remain stable - they don't jack you around after a year. The value remains.

Now, three years later I find out that they can't figure out why, since my system is on a cell radio connection only. I have found that any inquiries I have made either get lost or ignored. When pushed, however, the company has come through. The manager, Tina, told me she has only worked there since January, so she's not familiar with their products or systems. It's November! On balance the company is OK and the price is competitive. However, staffing and training seems to be needed.

Decided to change 7 cameras to cloud based Alarm dotcom which provides more user friendly analytics/options. Camera system glitches needed to be corrected over time due and one camera replaced. So 3+ months go get squared away but EE made it right; I than was comfortable exchanging 11 year ADT system for Alarm dotcom.
