Sushi is fresh, lots of different options! I love spicy rolls and there were plenty with jalapeño, sriracha, etc. We also got an order of chicken fried rice. The portion was huge and the flavors were really well-balanced. I'd called ahead and picked up, so was in & out rather quickly. Atmosphere was cozy, staff were kind greeted me well.

Great fish to rice ratio as well as quality. The fish has been treated well and attention to detail. Service is always five stars and the feel is business casual attire. Perfect for any occasion but you need to call for reservations during busy hours.

There is no other competition in town for sushi, so this is the only option. The portions are small and the prices are high. The sushi wasn't that fresh despite being next to the water. The hostess rushed us out, because there was a big party coming later. I had higher expectations. I've tried this place multiple times over the past decade and it's no longer what I expected.

Okay so, This roll was definitely not one of my favorite rolls I've ever had. I wouldn't order a roll here again, BUT this nigiri was seriously amazing. I ordered the yellowtail to start and ended up ordering another 2 pieces of the escolar. Maybe the best nigiri I've had. The place is cute and small. Overall good experience, I'll be back

The food is so delicious. So hard to find good sushi and this hit the spot. Staff is great, definitely a gem in Juneau.

A good variety of sushi plate, fresh and delicious! Ikura roll is great as well! The only complain was the stir fried vegies, not to my taste.

The local awards speak for themselves.

The halibut tacos tasted fresh, but the beans and rice on the side were a bit underwhelming and could use some improvement. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The highlight, though, was the incredible view from the bar, with beautiful scenery overlooking the water and the mountains. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely come back.

We came here after hearing from several people that Tracy's King Crab Shack was more of a tourist…read moretrap, so we decided to give Hangar on the Wharf a try--and we're glad we did. We ordered 1 lb of king crab, the halibut fish tacos, and I paired my meal with an Alaskan Amber beer. Everything we came for was excellent. The king crab was fresh, sweet, and cooked perfectly. The halibut tacos were flavorful, with generous portions of fish, and the Alaskan Amber was the perfect local beer to go with the meal. The beans and rice that came with the tacos, however, were just okay. I didn't have high expectations for the sides, and they were pretty forgettable compared to the quality of the seafood. One thing that surprised us was how busy the restaurant was. It's a bit of a walk down the wharf, so I expected smaller crowds, but the place was packed. Despite arriving around 8:40 p.m., well past the peak dinner rush, we were seated without any issues. Even though they were still serving a full restaurant with other parties waiting, we never felt rushed, which we really appreciated. If you're in Juneau and craving fresh seafood, I'd definitely recommend making the walk. The king crab and halibut are absolutely worth it.

There's a massive parking lot with plenty of spots, a full-service pharmacy, and an on-site fuel center too. Since this chain is owned by the same one that runs Kroger and Smith's I was excited that I could earn rewards points with my purchase! The store has a big deli and bakery with fresh items, and has all sorts of local and national brands. The prices are on the high side (this is Alaska, after all), but they carry just about everything you could ever need or want. There's even a small section that sells generic Alaska souvenirs if you need to pick up something for the folks back home.

This longstanding retail…read morechain is a one-stop shop for everything you might need, from groceries and fresh produce to apparel, furniture, electronics, housewares, and more. Walking into the store, I immediately noticed the clean, well-organized layout, making it easy to navigate through the different sections. The selection is impressive, offering a variety of styles and options, whether you're shopping for clothing, home essentials, or fresh vegetables and meats. One of the biggest conveniences is the ample parking space, so you never have to worry about finding a spot, even during peak hours. Inside, the store also features a pharmacy, appliances, electronics, and plenty of other interesting finds, making it a great place to explore if you're looking for everyday essentials or even a few unexpected deals. While the store itself was clean, well-maintained, and had great promotions, the customer service was unfortunately not up to par. What really stood out was my experience at self-checkout. I expected a quick and smooth process, but the cashier assisting at self-checkout seemed unprepared and overwhelmed. When I asked for help scanning the barcode for my loyalty discount on the app, she didn't seem to know how to find it. Instead of trying to figure it out or asking another employee for assistance, she appeared stressed, nervous, and ultimately didn't make an effort to resolve the issue. She also seemed distracted and wasn't fully listening to my questions, which was quite disappointing. A little more attentiveness and willingness to help would have made a huge difference in the overall experience. Sign Up for Membership. Despite the customer service hiccup, the store does offer great promotions and discounts, but to take advantage of them, you should sign up for the free membership. It's fast and easy to do online by simply downloading the store's app. This will give you access to special deals, reward points, and additional savings at checkout. This store has a lot of potential, with its wide selection, fresh produce, and clean, organized layout. However, they could improve their customer service training, especially at self-checkout, to ensure a smoother experience for shoppers. Would I come back? Yes, for the convenience and selection. But I'd be prepared to navigate checkout on my own if needed.
