I have visited Juneau for business on 4 occasions my first stop is always the Narrows. So far they are the only establishment in town with an impressive gin collection. If you want a craft cocktail or you are not sure what you want the bartenders will gladly make you something special that they love or think you will like. The Narrow's is a must visit when in downtown Juneau.

There are many great places in Juneau so go where you are treated with respect. FYI we were a party of 4 retired guests just trying to enjoy some local brews and spirits.

The double staircase is very steep and treacherous. There is zero noise barrier. I woke up both mornings to the sound of my neighbor snoring. I was also awakened at 11:30 on a Monday night to the sound of the band from the bar below...It was loud enough that I felt I could have sang along. The desk is not monitored 24 hours a day. They bill it as an historic hotel...I've stayed in several historic hotels which have been maintained. This is just shabby and run-down. It's basically a hostel at hotel prices.

The line moved quick and we were able to get a seat inside. We went with the red and golden crab to see what the difference was besides the price! The red crab was definitely better in terms of taste. The price is ridiculous as the red crab was $90 for a leg and the golden crab was $65 per leg. Since we were here, we had to eat it though. We also got a cup of the crab bisque. It was good and what made it better was putting more crab into it! The bread was realistically just a Hawaiian roll with a little garlic butter. There wasn't enough garlic taste for our liking. We told our friend to make a little crab sandwich with her roll.

I came by off the cruise ships, it was towards the end of the season (September) so it was extra cold and cloudy (end of season for the northern lights viewing). The clam chowder was absolutely delicious; it was meaty, and just the perfect thickness I like. There were chunks of fish and clams in every bite. I also got fresh oysters and they were nice and meaty with a touch of brine and had a nice bite. The service was a bit slow since people were being sat in droves, but once the server came around, she was very nice. We had a few questions and she answered them with a smile and gave me some awesome tips. Overall, a satisfying meal with an awesome view; I would recommend.

Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is a 2.5% surcharge added to credit card sales. There is a $2.50 up-charge added for to-go items. Wine and beer are available for purchase with a 3% liquor tax. Every step of the process is self-serve; from ordering food, picking up food and bussing own table. The entire establishment is in refurbished functional sheds. Seating is outdoor picnic table, covered tent style. There are several photo stand-ins on the property creating fun photo opportunities. During our visit, I slurped on a pint of Alaskan Husky IPA for $8.50. We shared a small (qty 6) Mini Crab Cakes for $10.95. I ordered a pound of Alaskan Red King Crab for $85; served with garlic rolls and butter. This crab was a test in patience to say the least. Lots of cracking needed to be done and it wasn't easy. My daughter ordered a pound of the Dungeness Snow Crab for $35. We all had a great time sampling local Alaskan seafood at Tracy's. Definitely a highlight of our stop in Juneau.

We usually sit at the bar and the bartender is always nice. We enjoy the local Alaska beers as well as order the Seafood Chowder as well as the Halibut burger. The fries are great. We enjoy watching the small planes take off from the area below. The restaurant is located in a small mall area and the restrooms are down the hall.
