So delicious. It was my first time trying and I loved it!!! Their food is amazing. The sides were super tasty and they offer refills. I got the fried rice with shrimp, as a newbie, and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend had been before multiple times so he got the bimbibap(sorry I know my spelling is probably wrong) and it looked amazingggg too. I'm trying that with tofu next time! Wish I could have tried their sushi too but hopefully it comes back soon. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. we ate at this restaurant was Part of our rotation for lunch, our experience several months ago and noticed the food was declining in flavor ~ we decided to give it another chance. However the service was slow and the waitress seemed inattentive, chatting with the other servers and we were the only ones there until other guests started to arrive, they promptly ordered received their side dishes immediately (part of the culture) and we still had not ordered, not even water. After flagging the server she said yes and your side dishes are coming. the side dishes were bland as if it had not been stirred just slapped on the dishes. When we got our main dish it was nicely presented however again very bland, the Korean hot sauce was provided and it had been diluted again no flavor. The food was fresh but not exciting as we remember it. Honestly, lunching out is a luxury these days. We ordered takeout from Seoul BBQ & Sushi and liked it. We specifically got the bulgogi bento, kimchi fried rice, Korean fried chicken (with spicy sauce), goon mandu and shrimp shumai. The order came with some banchan; stir fried fish cakes, cucumber salad, and kimchi. The bulgogi itself was good but didn't have a very smoky flavor. It came with fried vegetable spring rolls, shumai and goon mandu. I didn't realize it came with the same appetizers we ordered but didn't mind as they were tasty. The only item we didn't care for were the spring rolls, which were mushy. The kimchi fried rice was ok, I'm not sure I'd get it again. I really enjoyed the goon mandu and would definitely order it again, it was crisp, the filling well seasoned and I especially loved the dipping sauce it came with. The shumai had an interesting spongy texture and nice shrimpy flavor which I enjoyed. Warning, the spicy sauce for the wings is not for the faint hearted! I was not prepared for that level of heat but if you enjoy really spicy food you'd like it. It was too much for me and my boyfriend who typically eats really spicy food. Thankfully, the sauce was on the side and the wings themselves were nice and crispy so we ate them without the sauce. The prices were reasonable and portions were large. No Korean beer, but multiple assorted Japanese beer. HUGE mandu dumplings and solid kimchi fried rice with spam and egg. We visited Seoul BBQ and Sushi in Phoenix because it was one of the few places open late at night. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu, but we chose to order à la carte instead. We had two sushi rolls and a beef rib soup. The soup came with a small bowl of rice, which was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the soup itself was very bland, and the beef ribs had very little meat on them. It was around $25 for the soup - not worth it in my opinion. We had to mix in some soy sauce just to get some flavor. A side note is that the normal soy sauce they provided doesn't taste like normal sushi soy sauce so maybe op for the low sodium one which they do offer. They also serve a few Korean side dishes, and while they are refillable, the servers won't voluntarily offer refills--you have to ask. Overall, it was convenient for a late-night option, but the food didn't quite meet expectations. read more

We love coming to Seoul for Korean BBQ. We've never had anything but the all you can eat, and they recently updated their menu with regular and premium meat options (for a few $$ more- it's worth it). They have some of the best appetizers- I love the potato salad and my absolute favorite- spicy peanuts. I can eat an entire dish of these on my own! The service is always great, you can ring a doorbell if you need help (or to order more!) and someone will be right over, otherwise they check on your periodically. My hot tip: cut up the meats as you put them on the grill. So much easier to grab pre-cut bites especially when you're on grilling duty! They will take reservations but we've never needed one! read more

Okay, I'm gonna keep it real. The quality of the meat itself was mid-level, but the drinks were pretty good. Our server was pretty sweet and checked in with us often, which was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The private room was pretty nice and hidden from everyone else, which resulted in my friends and me having a blast since we weren't near anyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come with a smaller group so you don't incur additional charges. Took 2 family members from Korea here... I was hoping it had improved since my last bad review... it hasn't. We wont be back. It is overpriced, the food is NOT good or authentic.. and the portions small for what you are paying. I even asked if they could bring some korean spice or Korean hot sauce (not gochuchang) to make a soup spicier for one family member and they offered a Mexican hot sauce... I asked someone who spoke Korean and she said she'd ask the manager and chef and we never had anything come... usually a good establishment would have the chef or manager come over and talk to us. Considering we were a party of 8 and paid a lot of money for this mean... customer service and food quality and quantity are not worth it. I'm not sure how it still had the high ratings it does. read more

Came back again to try their Jjampong while my hubby stuck with the Korean BBQ. We also added a seafood pancake and tofu stew, definitely more than enough for just the two of us! Everything was delicious and so satisfying. Our server was super friendly too, wish I remembered his name! read more

Came in last Friday with my kiddos, they love Korean BBQ. We decided to try Seoul since our regular place Gen Korean BBQ House has gone down hill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seoul was clean, service was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing I didn't really like is their very limited meat selection for the price. If you want more meat options you pay more. I guess I'm used to more seletions at other places. Either way the selections they had were good. I really don't like that some appetizers are under the premium price when it's included at other places. We will come back to try the sushi. read more

I will say their side dish and meats is a lil lacking. I enjoyed the soup and kimich. We mostly just ordered pork belly and ordered some lettuce and enjoyed it that way. All you can eat meat??? Yes please!!!!! Took my best friend here for her birthday and oh my goodness!! We were in hog heaven! You first choose what all you can eat menu: A with a few appetizers and meats or B all appetizers and meats on the menu. Then you can add sushi for an additional price. They do have a rule that the table must order the same either A with or without sushi or B with or without sushi. They do have an à la cart menu. But that's for another time! We went slow and slowly ordered our food as any left overs you cannot take home and they will charge you $25 for any unfinished food. I like this rule as it prevents food waste of their high quality meats. The only exception to this rule are the automatic side dishes that you get, potato kimchi, regular kimchi, fish cake, acorn, jelly, eggplant, cucumber, spicy peppers, and spicy peanuts. We got white rice, gyoza, and bibim bap as appetizers. Then for our main meats we got marinated steak, spicy bulgogi, chicken, shrimp, pork belly. I very much enjoyed cooking my own food and the restaurant was very clean and a chill vibe. There were two downsides. The first was that they leave shell on the shrimp and they do not clean the vein of the shrimp... the second was our waitress wasn't very friendly and I felt like we were inconveniencing her, and then towards the end of our meal she left us alone for about 20 mins as we were trying to get our check. read more

Our server was very nice, but we also waited a long time for anyone to acknowledge us (even after ringing the bell), while the table next to us came in 10 minutes later and was served immediately. The food was below average in our case. Mostly, I was disappointed paying $35 for spicy pork bulgogi that was burnt. It smelled strongly of burning the minute they placed it on the table and the bottom was all black. The sundubu jjigae was full of good ingredients but bland. The tangsuyuk was decent. That's the only one I would maybe order again. For banchan, I didn't like the kimchi but enjoyed most of the rest. The ambiance is good. The place was not busy on a Saturday night about 8 pm. We didn't need to make reservations. It is a pretty large place though. The service was supremely slow and the place being less crowded we expected it to be better. Our server forgot our drink order. We reminded him twice. He forgot our dipping sauces when half way through the meal I requested it then he brought them over. In terms of food. It was a hit and miss. We like the thinly sliced beef and bulgogi. The spare ribs were ok. We didn't enjoy the two pork items at all. We are likely to try some other places in town before a revisit. read more

We do love this place and come here for some holidays. The staff and everyone is always great. Please be advised that they no longer offer sushi and we were not made aware of this before hand. We specifically went there for sushi, but my daughter chose it because it also had bbq for those who don't eat sushi. She was very disappointed. First time we ordered the plain pork belly and it had no flavor, we like to make lettuce wraps, most places will at least salt and pepper it, ordered it again with spicy and they did not mention on the menu that when you order the spicy apparently they marinate the pork in some sort of sweet marinade my husband does not like sweet pork, I called and asked why is it sweet and she acted like I was supposed to know since we ordered spicy that the pork is sweetly marinated? So then I asked well in the description on the menu it only list spicey, only after pausing for an awkward minute she said sorry and that was definitely not genuine. charged 3.50 for some sesame oil after spending close to 60 bucks we will never go back to this place again! I come here a lot with my partner. It's one of our favorite Korean BBQ spots in the valley. We've tried others, but no place is like this. Prices are reasonable compared to the competitors, staff is friendly and always attentive, and food is so good. Especially the Sundubu stew-my favorite. Came from out of town and wanted to try some kbbq! Read some reviews and this was one of the best! We made a reservation and were seated really fast. The waiter was very helpful and fast. He moved really quick and got us everything we needed. He actually went above and beyond, coming in and out continuously to make sure our needs were met, so that was a huge plus! Food was pretty standard. I'm use to Houston KBBQ and this was pretty okay. My favorite thing was the pork jowl and LA galbi. If you're in the area or looking for some decent kbbq, idk definitely recommend this place! read more

First experience. Easy to locate, lots of parking, huge BTS banner at the entry and lots of welcoming faces. Delicious high-quality AYCE food. Went for my son's birthday dinner and they did not disappoint! So many authentic, premium options, and the freshest sushi. Service was top-tier, professional, and engaging. Clean grill, kept checking in and our drinks were filled without having to waive someone over. On your birthday they offer a complimentary dessert so my son got a macaron ice cream sandwich that he absolitly enjoyed. I would highly rexommend. read more

What a surprise. It is quite difficult to find a good Korean restaurant in anywhere when I'm Korean because I become extra critical. I had AYCE today. When you do ayce, you have to lower your expectation on the quality of meat. But I was very impressed. The side dishes were excellent. (Kimchi was a bit overly fermented but that was okay). Meat quality wasn't bad at all. It was quite pricey considering that meats you can eat in AYCE are mostly pork rather than beef. Service was little slow than I expected. I loved that they have a 'bell' to ask for service but the server is quite slow even though it was a slow day I sat near the entrance so it was a bit casual and cold, but inside has better ambiance and slightly warmer as well. I accidentally found this place but I loved it read more

Stopped by while on a work trip to Phoenix. I wanted Korean food and I didn't wanted a new restaurant I've never tried. The ban chan was ok. I guess im spoiled with some other spots ive dined at. I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae. The flavors were yummy and spicy with big pieces of pork. I should've added extra pork. The restaurant also offers AYCE but, see my photo if you waste food. Unfortunately this place made me and my boyfriend sick. My poor boyfriend got it worse because he was in the bathroom for a while as soon as we got home. I took some pepto pills right after. Everything was going great till the last two sushi rolls (rainbow roll & monster shrimp roll) tasted like old fish and rice. I thought I was gonna throw up. They do charge $25 a person if you leave a large amount of food left over. Never heard of that drastic amount like that. Pretty expensive if you get both unlimited meat and sushi. read more

This place is amazing, we were a large group where we had a private room. Our server was amazing and attentive and the food we ordered was continually coming in and we never felt we were running out of food. I am not familiar with Korean BBQ but our server was able to explain all options and what and how things are done. Definitely coming back to this place. read more

Seoul BBQ & Sushi Korean BBQ on the west side of Phx. Located off of I-17 next to Pappadeaux Limited selection of meats which, were fine with us. I prefer the marinated meats like Bulgogi or Kalbi . My kids like the brisket which are normally a thin rolled up tasteless meat which totally needs to be used with the oils and sauces. Cook your own meats, veggies and seafood, try to separate tongs with raw meat and cooked meats. One thing they didn't have was the steamed egg which we were disappointed. The service was good, quick in taking our order and bringing it out. Portions seemed to be on the smaller side with the size of the bowls and plates the food came out in. read more

We were in town in business and I finally convinced my narrow minded buddy to try Korean barbecue with me. He was very wary but as I ordered our meat and cooked, he began to loosen up and enjoy his food. We walked in around five and were almost the first customers. The staff was not very attentive considering it was relatively empty. You order on a laminated menu by checking the things you'd like with a dry erase marker. All three times I submitted the order sheet, it came back not wiped clean, and they never brought everything we asked for... Still, it was a decent meal and I was thinking I would be able to get my buddy back to some real Korean food back home. Both of us had raging, violent, diarrhea in the hotel within a few hours. No thanks. Stay away unless you like sneezing out of your butt. read more

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. They use a combination of black and white rice, which gives the sushi a distinctive purple color. It's not something you see every day, and it definitely makes their sushi stand out. It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. We definitely ended up with a pricier meal than what we'd planned next door, but it was totally worth it! I wish I'd taken pics of the beautifully plated dishes, but I was too just eating!

You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Because they're so busy, I had to keep reminding different waiters for small things like ginger for my sushi 3x, refill on my water, and he almost said we're good to go without paying the check but we didn't even receive our cheesecake dessert yet OR paid the bill. I loved learning that their dishes represent three different regions of Thailand and each one has its own story and significance. It made the whole experience feel even more special. The restaurant is dimly lit and pretty small, which made it feel more homely. Although, parking is awful, so if you choose to drive, leave a little bit early to find some parking. To drink, we ordered the Karaoke King and the Oliang'tini. Both were delicious and definitely on the stronger side, which we appreciated. They did take a little while to come out, but they were worth the wait. The food, though, was absolutely the star of the show. YAM MAMUANG BORAN - This was such an interesting dish with so many different flavors in every bite. My husband and I would never normally order a mango salad, but after hearing so many people rave about it, we had to give it a try. The creamy coconut milk balanced the tart mango perfectly, and the fried onions and shrimp added great texture and flavor. I definitely think this is a dish everyone should try at least once. BAMEE MU DANG - This reminded both of us of a Vietnamese egg noodle dish. It was good, but probably not something we'd order again. The char siu pork was flavorful, but the bok choy and bean sprouts felt a little underwhelming. Compared to the other dishes, this one was much more mild, so it's a great option if you're looking for something less bold. PLA RAD PRIK SAM ROT - Oh. My. Gosh. If there's one dish I could eat over and over again, it's this one. The branzino was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying incredibly moist and flaky inside. The sauce was absolutely phenomenal, and the fresh vegetables served alongside it made every bite even better. If you're not sure what to order, this is an absolute must. TOM YUM HAENG SEN YAI - I seriously cannot rave about this dish enough. It ended up being my favorite of the night. I already love anything Tom Yum, but this completely exceeded my expectations. The squid was cooked perfectly, and every flavor came together so beautifully. This is one dish I'll absolutely be ordering again the next time we come back. Overall, we had such an amazing experience. I was especially impressed by how quickly the food came out without sacrificing quality or flavor. Every dish felt intentional, fresh, and incredibly well executed. If you ever get the chance to eat here, do yourself a favor and go--you won't regret it!

Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.
