Came here for my birthday dinner, 1st time dining here. Clean and bright indoor eating areas with lots of table space, perfect for large groups or general date nights. Food here is amazing, it's Korean BBQ so every table has a built in grill and you cook your own meats. The quality of food and the entire flavor profile of every single dish was spot on EPIC. There are 2 price options. It's AYCE basic choices for mid $30 range or AYCE full menu mid $40 range. We ordered the full menu option as we wanted to enjoy anything we wanted. Our party of six ordered Beef Bulgogi, Pork, Chicken, and Shrimp proteins. Lots of appetizer choices here so we ordered egg rolls, fried tofu, Korean pancake, and an assortments of mini side dishes. No joke . . . Every single dish is fantastic, well worth the price tag. The server was checking in on us constantly and refilling our drinks. She eventually switched the grill top as it got crusty from all the food we were cooking. Their website states that they also serve sushi but that is recently discontinued so don't expect to get sushi here. So here's some bad feedback next. I would have easily given Seoul BBQ 5 stars BUT . . . We were a party of 6. One person in my group just had major dental work (teeth extraction) earlier in the day and she wanted to join us at the table and just hang out with us. Obviously she couldn't eat so we made a request if my friend can just be at the table and not be charged the $45 buffet price. Even with this explanation and with obvious gauze sticking out of her mouth, the hostess declined our request and told us she had to pay the entire $45 buffet fee just to sit at the table. So my friend paid $45 just to sit among my eating family members only for the privilege of sitting at the table and not eating any food since it was impossible for her to eat after getting teeth pulled out. So our check was around $350- ish. They automatically added 20% gratuity for a group of 6 even though only 5 people actually ate AND we were charged for 6 people eating. So when you come here, please make sure that everybody in your group plans to eat. They will make ZERO exceptions. I wouldn't be surprised if you brought your baby child with no teeth and they end up charging you just for bringing your child with you despite the fact that your baby drinks from the bottle. Yes, this is one of those places. Also if you just had braces placed on your teeth and can't eat food that day, you will still be charged full price anyway just for hanging out with your family. So delicious. It was my first time trying and I loved it!!! Their food is amazing. The sides were super tasty and they offer refills. I got the fried rice with shrimp, as a newbie, and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend had been before multiple times so he got the bimbibap(sorry I know my spelling is probably wrong) and it looked amazingggg too. I'm trying that with tofu next time! This is my go to korean restaurant. I've been to every one in the Phoenix area that I know of and in Mesa and this place has the best most authentic food. So good. Great banchan, which for me tells me all I need to know about a korean restaurant. Also, I'd recommend the all you can eat for sure because you get unlimited meats vs if you want an order of bulgogi it's about $30. You're getting unlimited for like $8 more. read more

We ordered takeout from Seoul BBQ & Sushi and liked it. We specifically got the bulgogi bento, kimchi fried rice, Korean fried chicken (with spicy sauce), goon mandu and shrimp shumai. The order came with some banchan; stir fried fish cakes, cucumber salad, and kimchi. The bulgogi itself was good but didn't have a very smoky flavor. It came with fried vegetable spring rolls, shumai and goon mandu. I didn't realize it came with the same appetizers we ordered but didn't mind as they were tasty. The only item we didn't care for were the spring rolls, which were mushy. The kimchi fried rice was ok, I'm not sure I'd get it again. I really enjoyed the goon mandu and would definitely order it again, it was crisp, the filling well seasoned and I especially loved the dipping sauce it came with. The shumai had an interesting spongy texture and nice shrimpy flavor which I enjoyed. Warning, the spicy sauce for the wings is not for the faint hearted! I was not prepared for that level of heat but if you enjoy really spicy food you'd like it. It was too much for me and my boyfriend who typically eats really spicy food. Thankfully, the sauce was on the side and the wings themselves were nice and crispy so we ate them without the sauce. The prices were reasonable and portions were large. We visited Seoul BBQ and Sushi in Phoenix because it was one of the few places open late at night. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu, but we chose to order à la carte instead. We had two sushi rolls and a beef rib soup. The soup came with a small bowl of rice, which was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the soup itself was very bland, and the beef ribs had very little meat on them. It was around $25 for the soup - not worth it in my opinion. We had to mix in some soy sauce just to get some flavor. A side note is that the normal soy sauce they provided doesn't taste like normal sushi soy sauce so maybe op for the low sodium one which they do offer. They also serve a few Korean side dishes, and while they are refillable, the servers won't voluntarily offer refills--you have to ask. We've never had anything but the all you can eat, and they recently updated their menu with regular and premium meat options (for a few $$ more- it's worth it). They have some of the best appetizers- I love the potato salad and my absolute favorite- spicy peanuts. I can eat an entire dish of these on my own! The service is always great, you can ring a doorbell if you need help (or to order more!) and someone will be right over, otherwise they check on your periodically. My hot tip: cut up the meats as you put them on the grill. So much easier to grab pre-cut bites especially when you're on grilling duty! They will take reservations but we've never needed one! read more

It is overpriced, the food is NOT good or authentic.. and the portions small for what you are paying. I even asked if they could bring some korean spice or Korean hot sauce (not gochuchang) to make a soup spicier for one family member and they offered a Mexican hot sauce... I asked someone who spoke Korean and she said she'd ask the manager and chef and we never had anything come... usually a good establishment would have the chef or manager come over and talk to us. Considering we were a party of 8 and paid a lot of money for this mean... customer service and food quality and quantity are not worth it. Came in last Friday with my kiddos, they love Korean BBQ. We decided to try Seoul since our regular place Gen Korean BBQ House has gone down hill. Seoul was clean, service was good. The only thing I didn't really like is their very limited meat selection for the price. If you want more meat options you pay more. I guess I'm used to more seletions at other places. Either way the selections they had were good. I really don't like that some appetizers are under the premium price when it's included at other places. We will come back to try the sushi. read more

However the service was slow and the waitress seemed inattentive, chatting with the other servers and we were the only ones there until other guests started to arrive, they promptly ordered received their side dishes immediately (part of the culture) and we still had not ordered, not even water. After flagging the server she said yes and your side dishes are coming. the side dishes were bland as if it had not been stirred just slapped on the dishes. When we got our main dish it was nicely presented however again very bland, the Korean hot sauce was provided and it had been diluted again no flavor. All you can eat meat??? Yes please!!!!! Took my best friend here for her birthday and oh my goodness!! We were in hog heaven! You first choose what all you can eat menu: A with a few appetizers and meats or B all appetizers and meats on the menu. Then you can add sushi for an additional price. They do have a rule that the table must order the same either A with or without sushi or B with or without sushi. They do have an à la cart menu. But that's for another time! We went slow and slowly ordered our food as any left overs you cannot take home and they will charge you $25 for any unfinished food. I like this rule as it prevents food waste of their high quality meats. The only exception to this rule are the automatic side dishes that you get, potato kimchi, regular kimchi, fish cake, acorn, jelly, eggplant, cucumber, spicy peppers, and spicy peanuts. We got white rice, gyoza, and bibim bap as appetizers. Then for our main meats we got marinated steak, spicy bulgogi, chicken, shrimp, pork belly. I very much enjoyed cooking my own food and the restaurant was very clean and a chill vibe. There were two downsides. The first was that they leave shell on the shrimp and they do not clean the vein of the shrimp... the second was our waitress wasn't very friendly and I felt like we were inconveniencing her, and then towards the end of our meal she left us alone for about 20 mins as we were trying to get our check. read more

Our server was very nice, but we also waited a long time for anyone to acknowledge us (even after ringing the bell), while the table next to us came in 10 minutes later and was served immediately. The food was below average in our case. Mostly, I was disappointed paying $35 for spicy pork bulgogi that was burnt. It smelled strongly of burning the minute they placed it on the table and the bottom was all black. The sundubu jjigae was full of good ingredients but bland. The tangsuyuk was decent. That's the only one I would maybe order again. For banchan, I didn't like the kimchi but enjoyed most of the rest. The ambiance is good. The place was not busy on a Saturday night about 8 pm. We didn't need to make reservations. It is a pretty large place though. The service was supremely slow and the place being less crowded we expected it to be better. Our server forgot our drink order. We reminded him twice. He forgot our dipping sauces when half way through the meal I requested it then he brought them over. In terms of food. It was a hit and miss. We like the thinly sliced beef and bulgogi. First time we ordered the plain pork belly and it had no flavor, we like to make lettuce wraps, most places will at least salt and pepper it, ordered it again with spicy and they did not mention on the menu that when you order the spicy apparently they marinate the pork in some sort of sweet marinade my husband does not like sweet pork, I called and asked why is it sweet and she acted like I was supposed to know since we ordered spicy that the pork is sweetly marinated? When you do ayce, you have to lower your expectation on the quality of meat. But I was very impressed. The side dishes were excellent. (Kimchi was a bit overly fermented but that was okay). Meat quality wasn't bad at all. It was quite pricey considering that meats you can eat in AYCE are mostly pork rather than beef. Service was little slow than I expected. I loved that they have a 'bell' to ask for service but the server is quite slow even though it was a slow day I sat near the entrance so it was a bit casual and cold, but inside has better ambiance and slightly warmer as well. Our server was amazing and attentive and the food we ordered was continually coming in and we never felt we were running out of food. My kids like the brisket which are normally a thin rolled up tasteless meat which totally needs to be used with the oils and sauces. Cook your own meats, veggies and seafood, try to separate tongs with raw meat and cooked meats. One thing they didn't have was the steamed egg which we were disappointed. Unfortunately this place made me and my boyfriend sick. My poor boyfriend got it worse because he was in the bathroom for a while as soon as we got home. I took some pepto pills right after. Everything was going great till the last two sushi rolls (rainbow roll & monster shrimp roll) tasted like old fish and rice. I thought I was gonna throw up.
