This small shop in the Asia Time Square's food court opens a door to Korean chicken with some American twists to it. My Hangry Hot Chicken Sandwich with regular spice level arrived in 15 minutes and it satisfied my cravings. On first glance, the chicken looks kind of funky, but the taste fares way better. I particularly enjoyed the coleslaw added on the sandwich. The combo comes with crinkle cut fries which had been seasoned somewhat light; I assume the small green speckles were parsley which I would have appreciated more of. They only have bottles so water is not free. Make sure to clarify your order before paying because I was accidentally charged for an extra side of fries after changing my order mid-way. It was clearly unintentional and the cashier seemed nice so I brushed that aside for my review this time. I think this place is worth visiting at least once. It carries a fast food vibe to it, which conflicts with having to wait 15 minutes for my order. However, I still enjoyed my sandwich and can see myself coming back out of convenience of location. read more

The cashier was friendly, and the establishment was tidy. There's a variety of noodles placed around the establishment. The hangry hot chicken burger was being advertised. But I decided to purchase the $15.99 half soy garlic spring onion chicken because I love onion and garlic. I selected the sausage tteokbokki with cheese. I'm still not a fan of tteokbokki, but the sausage and cheese made it worth getting. As I ordered food from multiple places in the food court. I told the employee to take her time preparing my order. The dining area was so messy I was going to take picture but didn't want embarrass others in the picture or expose that they were okay eating near such unsanitary place and smiling about it. Tried their chicken to-go so I felt like the crispy batter was lost during the drive home. I ordered their soy garlic spring onion chicken and red hot pepper chicken. It was a nice surprise to see marinated rice cakes inside, which was pretty good. I was hoping they would have provided more spring onions with a sauce which I typically see at other KFC places. I didn't expect the red hot pepper chicken to be so spicy, but was still enjoyable. The batter of the chicken and the way it was fried tasted more like American fried chicken (i.e. Popeyes) but with Asian flavors?? The menu description mentions a "rich cheese powder" which was the smallest sprinkle of powder and a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese thrown on top of the chicken that was not even fully melted. I passed through Grand Prarie last October and bought a whole chicken at CM Chicken with the special flavoring where the initial bite is slightly sweet, but with each subsequent chew. the spiciness grew. It was remarkable and delicious. The meat was moist and the crust was dry with none of the stickiness (honey) found in the normal sweet and spicy coatings. This was one of the best and unique reditions of Korean Fried Chicken I ever have had. Fast forward to last week ehen I stopped by to buy more chicken. Unfortunately. the place was sold and renamed Seoul Chicken. I was hopeful and asked the order taker if they sold the special dry slightly sweet and spicy fried chicken. The clerk told me yes, they did. I ordered a whole chicken. While waiting, I asked many times for confirmation they were selling the same recipe that CM Chicken does. Each time, I was told yes. After I took my order over to friends. we found Seoul Chicken to be a HUGE disappointment. The chicken was bland and paled terribly in comparison in taste, texture, and flavor to even Church's Chicken. The white meat was dry and over cooked. We threw the rest out as even the dogs turned their noses up at the de-boned pieces of chicken. Conclusion: AVOID Seoul Chicken! Save your hatd-earned money for delicious and good food.
