A family member recommended this place and I can say it was good. The A/c was not working the day we came so we decided to get it Togo. The cashier was very friendly by telling you what options he suggests. Frozen lemonade was good and catfish was good as well. Not sure it was 100% catfish. But it was good. I had: Fried catfish w/fried okra and corn fritters - 3 pc This was such a disappointment and a waste of money. Their reviews are excellent, and I was shocked, to be honest. Shocked that I happened to get something that ended up being thrown away; it wasn't edible. First, whatever seasoning they used on the fish was way too salty; I had to do my best to brush it off the fish. The fish was fried well; however, it was fried too well. It was so dry and overcooked, you literally needed something to drink after each bite. Two and a half pieces of fish, in the trash. I had planned to have it for lunch, dinner, and one the next day, but that didn't happen. The okra and corn fritters, as you can see in my picture, were overcooked as well. The okra was hard and did not taste like a fresh fry, and even if frozen prior, they can still taste fresh. The fritters were burnt. All went in the trash. When I think about it, I'm a bit perplexed. I had a twenty-minute wait, he said it was due to them making the food when ordered, but that definitely wasn't the case. The fish wasn't piping hot, nor were the sides. The best thing about the visit was the lemonade; it was good. Based on the reviews, in particular, the Google reviews, they seem to be pretty solid overall. It was late and they were open. A small neighborhood restaurant, not fast food--all made fresh. I ordered a shrimp poboy and absolutely loved it. The double row of pickles was an excellent touch. My partner had the fried wings and he was impressed by the tastiness. He gave rave reviews on the coleslaw which is rare. We are only in Arlington temporarily., but we will return.
