The younger guy at the window gave me this weird, smug smile like he already knew he was handing me garbage. If you know the food is bad, don't serve it. That's basic respect. This is a very small chicken and catfish spot. It's so small that it's drive through and walk up window only. There is no inside dining area at all. It's located right next to a Tiny Bubbles laundromat. If you love tender, flaky, well seasoned catfish I wouldn't recommend Crispy's. I ordered the $6.49 lunch special because it comes with fried catfish filet, chicken tender, seasoned fries, a roll and a drink. The draw for me was the catfish. And that was the least favorable part of the meal. I'm not a French fry person but they season theirs and they were hot, crispy and tasty. Also, I don't love chicken, it's just okay to me but the tenders were okay. Not seasoned at all, just battered and crunchy from being fried hard. It's served with a basic store bought dinner roll. It really is crispy and great chicken !! I loved this place specifically because it had gizzards. Definite game changer if they sold liver as well. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and super juicy once you peeled into it. I got the "6" order of gizzards and it was obviously a lot more than 6 pieces lol. I can't imagine how long a full order would've taken me to finish. I was hesitant to try the spicy flavor for the gizzards but next time for sure. I only come here for the gizzards, haha. I'm addicted. They're so good and only $6 for the 12 piece. It says "12" piece, but there's like... 30 lol. Maybe it's made from 12 birds? I have no clue. But totally worth; it's similar to popcorn chicken :) There's always a slice of bread at the bottom too. You can get the gizzards in mild or spicy. These are amazing and crispy when you eat them fresh right after you get your order. My family always likes to buy them as a snack. Careful since they're really hot though and the box is made of paper, so the contents will make the box soggy from all the heat. Customer service is pretty good. The intercom can get a little glitchy here and there and the owners have a semi-thick Korean accent which doesn't really help during those times, but it's all good. The questions are usually "how many" and "mild or spicy?" Recently, I've also tried their chicken tenders and those are nice as well. This tiny restaurant located in front of a strip mall on a very busy and bumpy street catches my eye each time I drive to my friends house. It's drive through only and all I gotta say is.. Spicy Gizzards!!!! To be honest, I had no idea what gizzards were until I looked it up. At first I was shocked and a little weirded out but these things are way too good to pass up. I wish I had more to say about this place but it's pretty basic and they concentrate on what they know. I don't know what kind of customer service you're expecting from a little stand off the road. There's no where to eat, so it's all to go. They're friendly enough for being run by little Asian people. They do take long. There's not usually more than 2 people in that tiny place. I'm not even sure if you can fit more than two people in there. I suppose the name Crispy refers to the chicken. The fish was way below my standards it was not raw but not fried enough, there was no flavor whatsoever. No fish flavor, no saltiness, just bland. I ate some of the fish and some of the overly greasy fries it also came with 3 under-cooked hushpuppies and tossed most of it.
