This is one of the first Sephora locations that I ever shopped at. They carry a full line of the more expensive cosmetic brands and they have a line of Sephora branded cosmetics as well if you are looking to buy at more reasonable prices. When I am there I usually will get some Clinique products and I also take a look at their very own Sephora line of products and sometimes buy from that as well. The store is always neatly organized, very well set up and clean. I like that they have little stations set up with mirrors, applicators and makeup removers so that you can try products on before making decisions as to what looks best or what to buy. The sales associates on the sales floor are also very good with product recommendations and tips. They are always very knowledgeable and willing to assist their customers. The checkout process is always easy and lines move fast even when the store is busy. Sephora also has a loyalty program that you can join that allows you to earn points on your purchases that can later be redeemed for free products and every year you will get a birthday gift during your birthday month. They give you a couple of choices for what you would like for your gift which is great. I always have a great experience at this location and I will certainly be back. read more

This Sephora is okay but sometimes you go in there and the store associates are way too aggressive. I was doing a bunch of mall errands the day after Christmas and everything was going great, but when I ran into Sephora the young man was snippy when I didn't want or need his advice. I was looking for one lipstick (YSL color 202) and I know where it is when it's in stock. I politely declined his assistance and then he quietly cursed me out when I was leaving. So unnecessary and it makes me avoid the store. Sephora needs to train their associates to recognize when they should back off. read more

I was the first customer of the day, arriving just as the gate lifted. I was there to return products that, I explained, had caused skin problems. I did not expect the bizarre and hostile experience that followed. The two women who assisted me with the return became completely unhinged during the process. They returned two products and firmly emphasized that they were making an exception to the 30 day rule, because I had a breakout. I was stunned by their tone. I wasn't aware of this policy. Then, they began investigating the third product. Suddenly, one of the women yelled "1/20?!?!" I didn't understand. She then accused me of attempting to return a product that was purchased five years ago. I was dumbfounded. I calmly explained that I had purchased the item about a month ago, and that they were looking at the wrong information. They did not acknowledge me. "I CANNOT ACCEPT A PRODUCT AFTER FIVE YEARS" I tried to calmly explain, again, that they were mistaken. Suddenly, after completely disregarding me, they realized their mistake. They saw that I had purchased the item at a Sephora inside of Kohl's. "Conveniently located across the street. You can return it there" There was no apology, or acknowledgment of how they had just publicly shamed me. Instead, they slid the product back across the counter, handed me a store credit for the other returns, and flatly said to "have a nice day." I said "I feel as if I personally offended you by coming in today. I've never been treated like this at Sephora." They did not respond. As we were leaving, I could hear one of the women loudly sigh and apologize to the customer behind me, as if I had caused a major inconvenience. As we walked away, my five year old commented "those ladies were mean" I agreed, and assured her we would never return. Still thinking about a conversation I overheard earlier this afternoon in which a woman working/leading the floor approached a middle-aged man asking for a sample in haircare. She immediately responded to his request with a sharp and condescending "If you'd like a sample, you have to be a member of our VIB program. Are you a VIB?" Let's unpack: 1). Why do you so quickly assume this man is not a VIB? I'd be hard pressed to believe this woman would have sounded so snide with a younger, color-wearing, femme customer. Your prejudice against your customers is showing and your veiled attempts to discourage this man from getting a sample are blatantly offensive. 2). Your language demonstrates that you already assume this man is NOT a VIB -- what makes you think he knows that your rewards program is called the "VIB program"? You're paid to know that -- he's not. 3). The customer was indeed a VIB and the lead swiftly delegated the sampling to one of the other employees without apologizing or offering further support. Y'all sell luxury-priced skin, hair, and color cosmetics during a post-pandemic/pre-recession retail slump and had maybe 4 customers in-store versus your 16 employees and 2 brand reps. Maybe try to build relationships with the people who actively shop in your store (even if they're a middle-aged man who is curious to try hair products) or your store and/or job may not be there much longer. read more

Nicky. was wonderful I had an issues with my skin tone my face being red. Nicky used the skin tester to get the best color to match my face with foundation. after a long time of trying different foundations Nicky suggested a facial cream that would eliminate the red tone. it worked. after so many years of most my life dealing with my red face Nicky solved my issues. I'm sending a big hug of thanks to Nicky !! I wish Nicky a great career ahead .... There is a customer service issue in this store. I have met some helpful people at times but I feel more recently customer service is lousy. I recently went and bought a dry shampoo. I had been wanting to try. It was the same price on-line but I wanted to go into the store because so many stores are going out of business because of on-line shopping. I bought my product from a girl at the door who checked me out with a small hand held machine. I got home took off the cap and there was no nozzle on the product. I drove back to the store a day later. I got the same product and noticed the line was extremely long, it was literally out the side door. Now if I was buying something I would need to stand in line, but I was sold a damaged product. I found the lady who checked me out before and asked if I could leave her the old product and take the new. She said you have to stand in line. I asked her why.... She answered it is not fair to the other customers. I said I was sold a damaged product? I drove all the way back? that does not make sense. She also has the hand held machine that she checked me out on. Her response was so rude, "we are not having this conversation". I am not doing this right now. I was not speaking to her abruptly or rudely. I called the complaint line and the girl there kept me on the phone for 20 minutes, and said that someone would call back regarding this matter the next day, no call. I love Sephora but I went in this store and all was normal. After a few minutes My friend and I were testing an eye cream and my friend accidentally dropped the cap of the tester. As she went to pick it up and employee said, " You better pick that up, you need to pick it up"! My friend's response was " Oh sorry I was just going to pick it up". I went in for my 19 month son first hair cut and he wasn't too sure about the cut and the ladies there where crying and laughing while cutting his hair, for his first hair cut experience was horrible. This review is for my experience during phase 2 of the reopening of MA during the global pandemic. So buying cosmetics is not easy when Sephora has a "no touch" policy, but the woman who helped me find the EXACT MATCH for a foundation I've been eyeing during this no touch phase at Sephora deserves a pay raise!!! Neither customers or employees are allowed to touch ANYTHING inside the store (Unless you're buying it), so honestly buying products that require a face match (foundation, lipstick, etc) is super tricky! I mean there are some things you can get away with not touching if you know what you want or are repurchasing, like fragrance or moisturizer. Honestly this woman was AMAZING. She narrowed down a few and then by process of elimination (too pink, too pale), she Goldilocks-ed my foundation match. I was not hopeful because Findation and the Sephora color match both let me down already, but at least they let you return it if it's not a match. But not this time! There was one person who was willing to assist me. I saw a few employees helping customers and the rest of them were busy collecting trash and/or on their phones... way to busy to assist. I spent close to $80 because I knew what I wanted but was in the market for several other items. I'm disappointed in their quality of service with the cell phones and lack of acknowledgement... I would've spent much more if the employees cared even the slightest. PS. All of your Sephora eyeshadows are in the entirely wrong place making it extremely hard for customers to find the correct ones as labeled. read more

We booked 3 makeovers for a fun day out. Sadly, over $300 in products later (the makeover isn't "free"; you must buy $50 in products), it was a huge fail for all three of us. My daughter washed everything off in the mall bathroom, and my sister and I just hoped we didn't run into anyone we knew. It was that bad. We arrived 10 min early & bare-faced (as instructed), but our artists hadn't come to work yet. We patiently waited, sharing the looks we had found with each other. Yes, we brought pictures with us--just in case. While we were waiting, we were asked by 4 different staff members if we needed help. They were all clumped around the make-up stations, rather than circulating throughout the busy store. SUGGESTION #1: Distinguish customers who are waiting for a scheduled service from shoppers who need help finding a product so they can get on with their day (e.g., a cape like at the hair salon--or a badge/name tag of some kind). Better yet, seat us at an empty station and give us a $1 bottled water while we wait. It gets us off the floor & shoppers the help they might need. SUGGESTION #2: Tell customers to show up with their regular make-up on. This would enable the artists to sell customers on make-up remover, skincare, etc. while--and more importantly--allowing the artists to see what we're capable of doing on our own, what colors we currently wear, how we do our eyes and lips, & what we're doing wrong. It's only a make-up application--not a makeover--if we're starting with nothing on at all. I want to leave an artist's chair looking better than how I look when I leave for work in the morning. None of us did. SUGGESTION #3: Be consistent. All three of us experienced an entirely different makeover. My sister had 3 different people working on her--clearly confused about what to do with an "older" customer. (She is in her fifties, by the way.) She received a peel to brighten her skin. We were not even asked if we wanted one. (We would have bought one!) Two of us were asked for our emails & one of us wasn't. One of us had an artist who used a machine to match skin color to the make-up. SUGGESTION #4: Instruct. Two of the three of us are seasoned make-up wearers. We watch the tutorials, already own the high-end products, & are asked by strangers how we do our make-up. (Again, the artists would never know this because they see us bare-faced.) So, the experienced make-up wearer is booking a makeover to learn something new. Two of us had very few interactions with our artists unless we asked questions. (On the other hand, my daughter's artist talked incessantly which was exhausting for all of us--including her coworkers who seemed "done" with her.) SUGGESTION #5: Invest in disposable eyelash curlers, since it's the easiest way to make your eye pop is through curling the lashes. We were given one coat of mascara. One. Coat. And for sanitary reasons, no curling. SUGGESTION #6. Listen to the customer. Two of the three of us brought pictures. We left looking nothing like them. I said I didn't wear foundation right now because I have a tan. I looked like a clown when I left, with layer upon layer added to my skin--completely mismatched, removing my tan, and getting caught in every wrinkle and crevice in my face. It looked like stage make-up, nothing like the picture, & was embarrassing. I also described what I wanted for my eye--since I'm aware of how to make my eyes--my best feature--look bigger. After sharing that the make-up made my eyes look smaller, the solution to "fix" them was to cake even more concealer under them--making me look older. (For the record, I'm in my 40s & am not a wrinkly mess.) My daughter looked ridiculous. She told her artist that she didn't want eyeliner or foundation. She was given both. And lots of it (not surprising if you saw her artist's make-up). She even had that I-just-started-using-foundation line at her jawline where her orange (!) foundation stopped and her real neck began. As aforementioned, she purchased make-up removing towelettes at checkout to use in the mall bathroom before we went to lunch. This was her birthday gift, and her makeover was a huge fail. She left in tears. My sister, who wears just the basics for make-up, said that she wanted an easy, everyday look that she could do herself. Her makeover took the longest, & she looked the worst. Her artists (she had 3 different ones, remember) made her look like she was playing an elderly woman in the theater. Every single wrinkle was caked on with product, nothing about her face was dewy or rejuvenated, & she had next to no color on her face at all. This was a huge swing and a miss. Never. Again. Please disregard my previous review. However long it's been, Sephora has done a complete 180! Friendly and helpful staff (ones who remember you by name, your concerns, and needs). Maura is just a rock star​ in the store; amazing, intelligent, and beautiful inside and out. She is what made from my disgraceful experience from long ago to this Cinderella feeling. This is the worst Sephora I ever ever been to. Absolutely no one helped me while I was in the store. The lack of effort and customer service by the employees disappoints me. I have been shopping at Sephora for years and I have never not had anyone at least come up and ask me if I was doing alright. I came back here against my better judgement because I needed an Hourglass Primer/ mineral power/ Caudelie and some other items that I didn't want to wait to be delivered from online- and- wanted to see if they had HUDA foundation Went on a Saturday/ Understood Saturdays are busy. Every product I wanted was empty in the slot or in the wrong slot- so- I opened the drawer below to get it myself. With all the people standing around hounding the customers/ standing in the aisles maybe it is a good idea to have a person putting stock into the empty slots? I don't know, maybe I am crazy since I don't work in retail but you want to sell things and you dont want people in the drawers getting it themselves so put it out? The absurd thing that prompted me to write again was that one of the sales associates grabbed my purse, asked me where it was from, I don't like talking to people so I said a one word answer AND THEN SHE TOUCHED IT/OPENED IT/ stuck her hand in it! I came in here for tattoo coverup and some brands carry foundation that would do the trick so I was told. This place was chaotic people everywhere , and they had a wait list to be helped I waited around 10-15 minutes for help. A young man was very nice and directed me where to put my name. Then I got this woman named Carmen she was trying her best to find something to cover my tattoos but she couldn't seem to find anything , foundation was very thick and it didn't work. She was so nice and sweet and she tried every single little thing but it didn't work. I give 4 stars because they do need to have more products including what I was looking for , and more staff on the floor so people aren't waiting a long time , but the store is very well lit and clean. She also has so much patience- I went in looking for something in skincare that ended up being sold out, but then mentioned that I was interested in a SPF moisturizer as well and she proceeded to show me 4 different clean options and explained the difference in ingredients between all of them so that I could fully understand what I was choosing between. Outstanding service from beginning to end!! The employees there could not be more accommodating. I went in to refill my eye liner supply and look for my favorite hair spray. They were out of it, but I was able to order in store with free shipping. Libby at the register was awesome!! I'm fine with employees repeatedly offering their assistance, with them trying to upsell various products they know I don't need. They have daily sales goals like I've had before, despite them not working for commission. I would have given this location three stars since it's corporate policy that's the problem, not the employees. Until I met Susan. She is easily the most unpleasant saleswoman I've ever encountered. She interrupted a conversation I was already having with another employee to question me about things she had no business asking. She was insulting, rude and generally inappropriate. Let's just say it was bad enough that I got my phone out and recorded the rest of the interaction. She's the older one with blonde hair. I was given a $100 gift card for my birthday. The Sephora folder it was glued to clearly states that, with gift card purchase of at least $50 I would get a free 45 minute custom makeover. When I called to make an appointment I was told "Yeah, we don't do that anymore. You can buy a makeover for either $30 or $50 but we don't do them free". Clearly they did that a few months ago when the gift card was purchased and I know that that free makeover was at least a part of the reason the gift card was purchased there. Yet, they wouldn't honor it. I spoke to another person there and they essentially just said "Yeah, sorry - our offerings have changed and we don't do that anymore; maybe try a store in New Hampshire". In other words, "sucks to be you". I certainly understand stores changing offerings and policies, but when it is in writing as part of the gift card it should be honored. I give a four rating and not a five because I also have had to interrupt the makeup sales people because they were busy talking amongst themselves....on a couple occasions. Pro's - fabulous makeovers with great color matching and assistance. When you have one on one time with the makeup sales people, you get great service. Pro #2 - skin care sales people. Very attentive and available to help. Sue (blonde hair, maybe in her early 50's) so, so nice. I always seek her out as she is my favorite sales person. She is fantastic with my daughter and has even helped distract her by picking out her colors while I got helped by a makeup rep. My store experience here once again was horrible, until I got to the check out. When I first arrived was not greeted, and did not receive any assistance or acknowledgement despite walking past 4-6 employees who were chatting among each other. It was near to closing time so I quickly browsed, then made my way to the cash wrap. Thankfully there was no line, I walked up to the cashier and, immediately I was cheerfully greeted by Brie. After ringing my purchase, she was able to answer a few questions and assisted me in choosing out my birthday gift. She was extremely helpful, patient, kind and most of all attentive. Not only did the saleswoman give more time and courtesy to a teenaged customer (seriously?!), but she had me waiting so long that by the time I left, she came after me saying, "There you are! I've been looking all over for you!" Whaaat?! I was the one waiting for you a few steps away for an unreasonable amount of time while you were chatting up a teenaged customer! Ugh. Sephora is a carnival of beauty supplies! I go in looking like my regular self and come out looking like a make-up model ;) I love the fact that you can try everything in the store and have definitely based my purchases on that. Unlike at some places, I don't feel weird trying stuff on here because it is so encouraged, which is nice. I really really like the Sephora brand itself, which is cheap, doesn't test on animals, and generally matches up to the more expensive stuff in the store. The only thing I don't like about Sephora is that I get totally overwhelmed and often walk out with nothing because I didn't even know where to start, and that makes me frustrated and grumpy. The store would get 4 stars normally because the staff was actually very polite and warm, but I was bummed about one thing, and I know it makes me sound like a dope. The woman ahead of me was offered a certain card that kept track of her total purchases and what was spent. Essentially a rewards card. Well, I come up next and I wasn't offered. Again, I sound like a clown, but considering I would use up this product easily in a month, I would certainly use that card. Other than that, everything was dandy. When I finally chose my item, I walked up to the counter and the girl on register looked as though I was personally forcing her to stand there against her will. Store is what you'd expect from an average Sephora store. They need some serious employee training though. About half of the staff seemed professional, mostly male and older employees. However, most of the young employees were really loud, joking around, laughing, clapping, and dancing without giving much attention to customers. If they want to look into improving customer service, they should really be evaluating employees who are fooling around when managers are not around. read more

I can't really remember the last time I had a good experience with this place. On more than one occasion, I've called to check stock then arrived in the store (a good 45 minute drive for me) to find the product out of stock and the salespeople clueless. When i inquire about it, they'll make a big show of passing the blame but offer no apology. For my Urban Decay/Too Faced/Benefit fixes, I'll just stick to the website or go to the counters in Macy's, which are always fully stocked and staffed by somebody who actually gives a damn. read more
