    Makeup tutorial
    Kylee L.

I booked an appointment at Sephora because I needed to update my makeup products and routine. The online booking system wasn't the greatest for me but I was pleasantly helped over the phone. I got in the same day for a makeup tutorial with Lily! It was perfect practice for my upcoming wedding and I received customized recommendations and tips for my skin type. This appointment was $75 and took about an hour and fifteen minutes. Worth every penny if you're like me and just want to skip trying out random products until you find the right one. She was able to finish everything thoroughly with time to chat in between. So efficient and talented. We had such a great time. I left feeling so confident. I'm so happy!! Thank you Lily

FIVE STARS (for the therapist only)…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the Massage Envy in Milford, CT -- specifically with how the front desk and membership policies are handled. First and foremost, my therapist Joan is absolutely amazing. She is kind, professional, and truly talented at what she does. I will genuinely miss my sessions with her, and it's unfortunate that situations like this hurt therapists who are doing everything right. Due to a financial hardship following a car accident (which is also the reason I've been receiving massage therapy), I needed to reduce my membership. I was told I could place my account on a 3-month freeze and still use my accrued sessions by paying $20 instead of the regular $80. I agreed. Because it's so close to the holidays and money is tight, my card didn't go through when they attempted to charge me a second time in the same month. When I called to understand why, I was told the $20 charge on 12/14 applied to November, and now another $20 was being charged on 12/22 for December. While I can understand the explanation, it does not change the reality that I simply don't have extra funds available right now. I asked if I could cancel my membership and be reimbursed for the services I've already paid for. I was then told my account is on suspension and that nothing can be done until I pay the additional $20. So essentially, I'm being told that to access or recover services and funds I've already purchased, I must first pay more money toward an account I'm trying to cancel. To make matters worse, the manager was not in today. The front desk associate told me she would send an email explaining the situation and that the manager would call me tomorrow. How is it that there is not a manager readily available, the way there is at virtually any retail or service-based business -- especially when dealing with billing disputes and hardship situations like this? This entire experience has been absolutely ridiculous, inflexible, and incredibly frustrating. The lack of compassion and proper management completely overshadows the quality of the actual massage services. Experiences like this drive loyal clients away and unfairly impact the therapists who work so hard and genuinely care about their clients.

Toudaotang - You do get a private room. No waterfall hair rinser. For some reason they use all those pitchers to rinse the hair.

Start out with scalp scan analysis and the proceed to the spa room to get your scalp, face and neck reflexology done. The technician Celine did a great job and was careful not to get water in my face while doing different rinses, aromatherapy and brushing of my hair. She took her time and explained everything I will definitely be back Noise is a bit of a factor as there was a young child talking very loudly and the walls didn't seem to absorb the sound at all They take credit card and there is ample parking

We both received the full body yin and yang massage for $88. We were charged full price because the "system" didn't automate that upon checkout. We have been back and forth with the owners for FLASE advertising. I will NOT be coming back at all! The owner told us we could come back to get the service is 50% off before April 20. That is completely unacceptable. Especially from a business owner to another business owner, you don't up charge clients, offers the same discount and then say there's a system automation when YOU automate the system yourself. HORRIBLE. On top of the demand for a tip for all of the services, that is also unacceptable. And a turn off from a customer standpoint. As for the do services; I was surprised for my birthday with a yin and yang massage and a head spa treatment Upon waking in, the place smelled like fresh tea and a warm experience in the best way. We changed into a cute little outfit (shorts and a t shirt that unbuttoned from the back. I though this was a bit weird, but it was very modest once the session started The massage started amazing, different techniques, pressure points, guasha and hand technique. This wasn't a sweetish massage, rather a focused bodily reset. I had my feet wrapped in a box with charcoal and made a nice foot detox When the headspa time came, our scalps were checked with a magnifying camera to spot the dry skin, follicles and any scalp issues, then moved to the spa room. Once the treatment started I almost fell sleep. This was so relaxing and Invigorating. Celine was great at both the massage and the head spa. Both very relaxing, beneficial to the body and soul. We were met with a warm cup of flower tea when it ended The only thing I didn't like, and this has only happened once before, is the demand for a certain % of tip. I tip based on how I feel the service was, NOT on how the company should feel I should tip. This is infuriating. I also don't understand how they had a huge 1 year anniversary prop package, yet the prices DIDNT align and paid full price. Something sketch here
