Wow, just Wow.....Lets see you have about 20 employees on the floor but they are too busy talking to each other to be bothered.... I came in with my husband to get some Eyelash growth serum that they advertise on their website as well as Instagram.... They saw me and ignored me as well as other customers....Finally one stopped her conversation with other employees and asked if I needed help....She was NOT NICE...In fact she seemed irritated....I told her that I was looking for a Eyelash growth serum that they had advertised on their website and she said well, whats the name....I guess I was a little put off by her demeanor and of course I couldn't remember the name...then she asked well, how much did it cost???? WTF? Can you just show me a couple....????? I just said forget I will go home and order it online.....She rolled her eyes....... My husband couldn't believe it.... This is the 3rd visit to Sephora at Stanford. The first time I wrote it off as they were all just busy. The second time I let it go. But this time.... It has become a trend. For the size of the store and the amount of folks they have working there, someone should at the very least greet you. I was looking at the new Valentino fragrance and could find no one to check the inventory in the back. I ended up leaving as it took too long to find someone to assist me. Stop gossiping and having full blown discussions on the floor ! This location continues to circle the drain in terms or customer service . Anytime I come In for a online pick up I wait for a good ten minutes before they acknowledge me . When an item is hard to locate the staff ignores you because they will have to bend down use their mic or go find it and nobody there bothers to try . They lack friendliness , product knowledge and a sense of self literally they now just Have full blown discussions because they can't be bothered. read more

Been needing to write a review but it always slips my mind but I just wanna thank Cheryl and Kylie (not sure how to spell them sorry!) Cheryl took the time to guide me through certain skin care products for my particular skin situation and honestly the products she's recommended have been actually working !! I came in with my wife and my son, my wife was shopping, looking for shampoos and couple items she buys every month. This was the worst experience. They kept walking by us thinking we were stealing... My wife is a regular customer. Probably spends four to $600 every month. It's not ok how they treat their customers.. I spoke to the manager and told him they made us feel uncomfortable. I came today to Sephora at 6:58 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025. My friend and I wanted to pop in to get a few lip glosses. We finally grab our stuff and head to cashier. Since it was basically closed, there weren't many customers left inside, so mostly employees around. We are paying, and you can hear them making fun of us because we look young, da fuq?! Today, I went to Sephora hoping to find a blush and lip shade that complements my skin tone. At 31 years old, I've always worn really bright pink blush shades, and I really needed guidance to find the right ones. I was helped by Jasmine, and oh my gosh, she was such a lovely person. It was very obvious that she loves what she does and is so passionate about it. Her excitement and positivity really made my day, especially after a hard week. I had a really great experience here today with the staff! I came in bare-faced and wanted some help picking out a full face of makeup for a "soft glam" look. One of the employees helped me with primer, foundation, and bronzer - I have trouble with color-matching foundation, so she helped me with that, too. I wouldn't have even known where to start, but I feel like I ended up with the perfect products, fit for me! The reason I'm only giving 4/5 rather than 5/5 is because I noticed that though there were many spots around the store for brushes/sponges/applicators to test out samples of the items, most of them were empty - so there were very few applicators to be found. I saw a lot of people testing out products directly on their skin, which I think is a bit unsanitary. read more

My wife booked with a makeup artist on the 4th of January 2026 at Sephora in Stanford shopping center. Because she had a wedding on Saturday 17th January 2026. And she was one of the wedding bridesmaid. She was so excited to have her makeup done especially when she received a confirmation text of her appointment on the 15th two days before the wedding. Then when she arrived at Sephora location in Stafford shopping center. She was surprised when one of the staff said sorry we don't have a makeup artist. She said it feels like somebody hit her with a big hammer on her head. She didn't know what to do and where to go and there's a few hours to the wedding. Every time I go in with a bare face, the sales associates just look right past me. But when I walk into the store with makeup on, multiple employees ask if they can help me. It's like pretty woman in there. I went in yesterday with no makeup on. A male sales associate was literally gossiping about me and my appearance to one of their coworkers. It's like he had no idea I could hear him. Then when I went over to my friend, she heard him clear as day talking about me to all of the Sephora associates over their walkies. I had multiple associates straight up look at me then look away. I actually had questions and wanted help, but I couldn't even get a "hello" from any of the workers. I came here before the pandemic and I WILL NOT be coming back to this location. I was looking for Amika Dry Shampoo. I was told by my cosmetologist friends that some Sephora locations sell it. One thing I can say is that I probably have little-to-no knowledge about makeup. I don't even wear makeup on a daily basis. So coming to this shop, I wasn't aware that I had to dress or look a certain way to even LOOK here. I was wearing leggings, a hoodie, flip flops, and no makeup. Right when I walked in, I was greeted and continually followed around the store. All the employees had walkie talkies and I could tell that they were talking about me and telling each other where I was when I was. They would look at me, turn away, and talk quietly on their walkie talkies. I'm not dumb...I've been working in retail for 10 years. At some point, the same girl (who you can tell was new) kept following me every time I went into a different aisle. She finally asked me what I was looking for and when I told her I was looking for the Amika Dry Shampoo, she went to some of the other employees to ask them about it. She came back a few seconds later and told me that I should go look at Valleyfair. So I pretty much left with the feeling like they thought I was there to shoplift. If you are looking for someone to do your tweenager's makeup I highly recommend Staci. I felt like her approach to makeup artistry was subtle and focused on natural beauty. She is completely with it and knows how to talk to young people. Very encouraging about self esteem. Staci went over the importance of not comparing yourself to TikTok and social media filters. Literally she said everything that needed to be said to a young women. I felt like it registered with my tween who absorbs so little from anyone off the internet! I was nervous but she let me video tape so my stepdaughter could go over things later and try them at home. Staci was super friendly and you can tell she loves what she does. After walking around the store without a single person offering to help, I put my name on the list for help. I waited for 5 minutes and then asked the list guy how much longer it would be. Michael said another 10 minutes, but I said that seemed like a long wait. Michael was not helpful at all. He told me waiting 10 minutes to get someone to help me was only 1/6th of an hour. (Thanks for the math lesson, but I know how many minutes are in an hour!) He said Starbucks makes people wait ten minutes. (Not true!) When I asked for the manager, his response was "Just because you had to wait 10 minutes!?!" and threatened to remove my name from the list. Excuses and rudeness are never helpful. The peace of mind I will get from not dealing with poor customer service at Sephora will look a LOT better on me than any makeup they can sell me. read more

I have allergies and sensitive skin. I had one amazing woman helping me and she had to leave so she turned me over to another lady who also understood my challenges. They both spent a lot of time walking me around and helping. It is always wonderful to have sales associates that know their products. She's been one of the few make up artist to put eyeliner/mascara on me successfully without getting upset with my moving eyes. I left feeling like a model and loving the look. Honestly, I wanted to love this place so much but it's such a mess. None of the makeups have been sanitized. There's no Q-tips there are no cotton balls. there are probably 10 people walking around the floor as employees on their phones. Many don't know even the basic brands of make up, lots of chatting very little organizing cleaning off the applicators. There are make up smudges everywhere. I asked her for a match for foundation have her 4 brands of interest she went with one. One didn't work and I had to ask for other brands and she wasnt friendly at all. she applied didn't give opinions, asked for suggestions on color didn't have inputs was like pulling teeth communicating and trying to find right foundation. I'm writing a 5 star review because of Genivieve and how talented and personable she is. I've always had trouble getting a good color match for my foundation and skin type. I've had so many employees at other stores use the scanner and still get it wrong. She took one look at my face and promptly found me 3 great shades, and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. Overall this store is clean and has really nice employees.
