They saw me and ignored me as well as other customers....Finally one stopped her conversation with other employees and asked if I needed help....She was NOT NICE...In fact she seemed irritated....I told her that I was looking for a Eyelash growth serum that they had advertised on their website and she said well, whats the name....I guess I was a little put off by her demeanor and of course I couldn't remember the name...then she asked well, how much did it cost???? WTF? Can you just show me a couple....????? I just said forget I will go home and order it online.....She rolled her eyes....... My husband couldn't believe it.... I dragged him out of there before he could ask for a manager and say a word or two about the employee....But to be honest from reading some of the other reviews I just don't think Sephora cares....I will just stick with Ulta or a dept store for my beauty needs....This has really left a bad impression and I most likely will never step into a Sephora again....

This is my second time hosting a facial night at Essentique, and it was even better than the last…read moretime! The evening starts with a bottle of crisp rosé and a beautiful organic vegetarian/vegan-friendly spread. Mondana even made delicious lentil dip to go with the assortment of nibbles. Then we move onto group facial starting with a pumpkin-seed peel, and a fresh mask Mondana blends right in front of you. And the stuff in the mask...wowmanuka honey, $500/bottle ginseng extract, organic blueberries, collagen peptide to name a few. After the mask was done, we finished our treatment with toners and moisturizers that she recommends for different skin types. The evening was topped with a very soothing hand massage with a massage oil of our choosing. I think Essentique's facial night is perfect for a girl's night out. I've done mani-pedi nights before, but often times the chairs can be far apart and it's hard to socialize. Essentique's setting is beautiful and serene but intimate at the same time. Perfect for relaxing and chit-chatting after a long day at work. My friends were so relaxed and happy. They all said I did extremely well choosing Essentique for our night out :) As a bonus, the next morning our faces were super supple and glowing.

I can only speak to my experience of shopping online here, as I live in Florida and haven't made it into the Palo Alto store...yet! A few things to note: the owner hand-makes all of the amazing beauty products in small batches to ensure freshness, the products are all natural and plant-derived, and also when you order online you get shipped the most incredible box that you can tell was packed with love and thoughtfulness (the packaging is truly beautiful!!). I don't think you could go wrong with any of the products you try, but my personal favorites are the Uplift Facial Cleanser and Luminescence hand and body polish - both have absolutely changed my life. The cleanser has the BEST smell to it, so I actually look forward to washing my face every day (haha!) And the body polish, which contains Walnut Shell Powder, Banana Pulp Powder, Argan Oil, and Turmeric is so great. Every time I use it, my skin honestly feels like it just got pampered at the spa all day. Hands down the best body scrub I've ever used! We picked a color & reassured my mom that we'd watch a video on how to use the product later. Sure enough the same girl offered to ring us up for the product. Commission without knowledge. How the heck is anyone supposed to know how to use any of the 1000s of product that Sephora is selling if the 5+ employees that are always standing around can't show you how to use actually use the product. Sephora has changed if this truly is the new "policy," to not allow employees to help put a product on you to test it. We weren't asking to do our whole face, just 1 eyebrow. Disappointing. Kasandra was incredibly helpful not only with the transaction but also with guiding us through a few cologne options. She gave thoughtful suggestions, helped us test different scents, and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Her patience and friendly demeanor definitely made a difference. The store itself was clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate, which made the quick stop even more seamless. Overall, a great experience at this Sephora location. A busy mother of a toddler and preschooler, I really need a cut that looks great when I don't do much, is easy to put up and also looks fabulous when I have time for a 10 minute blow dry and do myself up. Mahin nails it. Every. Single. Time. And my cut always grows out beautifully so I don't have to worry about running back to the salon in 8-10 weeks. Mahin is also an expert with color and only uses top notch products in her salon. If you've had any bad experiences with other stylists and need something corrected, this is your gal! One star off because she keeps limited hours and is very expensive. But overall, it's worth it to have gorgeous hair and the peace of mind knowing you will always walk out happy and looking fabulous instead of with a pit in your stomach wondering when your bad cut will grow out or color will finally be fixed (we've all been there). And they're great about trying to make something work with short notice too. :-)

She talks to me like a person, always works with my budget and remembers my name and purchase history, even when I haven't been there in over a year. It isn't cheap, but there is nothing better than a woman wearing a beautiful scent that you spent your time and money picking out for her.
