This is my favorite Sephora location! The employees are friendly and helpful. Every time I ask for help they're able to get me samples to take home, order products online, show me where something is, etc. The store is clean and organized well. A few times I've been disappointed because the product I wanted has been out of stock. However, they've always been able to online order it for me. On occasion I go through my make up collection and decide to return some of my purchases. When I bring them in they are able to process the return with my receipts or data from my rouge card. I buy all of my make up products from Sephora due to their amazing no hassle return policy. read more

I had never been to this sephora before and went for the first time earlier this morning. I had a great experience! I went in looking for a new full coverage concealer and foundation and an employee helped me right away and found me the perfect match. I do most of my shopping online, Sephora is one of my top three websites next to Nordstrom and American Eagle. I have a busy schedule so I don't go to the mall often so when I do it is a nice treat, see them in person and not just read reviews. First off, I have had bad experience with this store before, I'm a VIB which I get perks such as special events and gifts but when I went to one event... all the employees were goofing off, socializing with one another, never greeted or asked if I needed help and were just plain rude. Today I went to the mall on a mission to return a couple items I received in a previous purchase online. I had my items, my packing slip along with my credit card that I used to pay for the items which are necessary to make returns go smoothly. The girl at the register took so long and had "technical difficulties" for TWO items. She later got fed up after trying it FOUR times that she called another girl for help. The second associate pretty much told me that the items I brought in had already been returned and asked to verify my address and if I was the only one in my neighborhood or household that had the same name. My last name is as common as Jones or Wilson so it was really frustrating to hear her say that and it felt like almost an accusation of me trying to return the same items multiple times to cheat the system. The associate also informed me to call the 877 number in the morning to get it figured out. She somehow conveniently failed to mention that although it was around 7:30 pm the call center is on Pacific Standard Time and are actually open until 9:00 pm. This store just reminded me of why I don't like going to the mall and it just makes me wonder why there are some people with such poor customer service are still employed in the retail industry. read more

I was so incredibly impressed by the customer service today that I had to get right on to Yelp and tell you all about it! I bought a tube of mascara months ago. I really liked it. But then, the lid cracked and it dried out. This is the 2nd tube of this particular mascara that I have bought that has done this, so I came to the conclusion that there is a design flaw. I had to go to the mall to purchase something today, and thought, heck, why don't I bring this defective mascara with me so I can bring it to someones attention. I brought it back to the Clackamas Sephora with no receipt or anything, and explained the situation. I wasn't expecting a refund - after all, i had no receipt, and I didn't even remember when I bought it. It was NO problem to look it up with my Sephora happy gift point card, and I got full store credit for it! No hassle! Super awesome! They even gave me suggestions for similar mascaras without the lid breakage issue. Hooray! Now I can have lovely long lashes again! read more

Big Sephora junkie. For a good couple of months, I would go into this Sephora location every freaking week, a bit embarrassing but I just love beauty products too much and always open to try new products. The staff members are always so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They make you feel like they truly appreciate your business. Those workers need to be on commission because they deserve more the way they help people find the right products and spend time with you. I was so offended by the staff here. Is it not your job to help people pick out make-up? I tried asking someone about a product, she took me over to them and then just walked off like I was wasting her time. Seriously walk down the mall to the sephora counter in the department store. My only negative was I had to wait a long time for a cashier to come to the check stand. I was greeted promptly by a cashier, but she was helping another customer with a lengthy transaction. They should clearly mark the eye masks by the cash register with the price. Otherwise the clerk was friendly and polite. read more

This store is dirty, dirty , dirty. Was attacked by a spider while looking at an item on the shelves, i screeched and threw the item in my hand, this made the staff at first stare, then laugh. Needless to say, I was mortified! A nice email was composed and sent to the store management , they proceeded to apologize and then make excuses. I had a gift card to use up and choose to go to another location in protest. Have not and will not step foot in this store again. Ulta and Nordstrom are my main destinations, again. Went into this location today to pick up a few items I needed. While the store was staffed with more than enough people to help I found myself needing to interrupt associates having a conversation to ask for help. I was then pointed in the direction of what I was looking for and left to find what I needed on my own. The associates one I believe was the manager since she was walking around with an IPad and the other girl finished up their conversation and still did not ask if I needed help. Was in yesterday desperately trying to match Make Up Forever foundation on my wrist when a great sales associates with short platinum hair and glittery red/orange eyeshadow asked if they could assist. This is the only time I've been asked if I needed help in a Sephora! Usually I get snooty looks from the employees, so much I hadn't been in for over a year. Not only did I receive sincere pleasant help during a very busy time, but I also had enough points to get 3 free samples! Bonus! 4 not 5 stars because the store was soooo busy. read more

My daughter and I have never shopped here but she needed her make up done for prom, which is free with a $50 purchase. We ended up with Roxie, who was very friendly and very good at what she did. We were amazed by the service we got from her and my daughter was so happy with the results. Now my daughter has products that work with her skin tone and she knows how to use them. I'm a drugstore make up kind of gal, but I was sick of wasting money on foundations and BB creams that wear off or turn weird colors. SO I went to sephora, and was greeted by Nicole. I told her I like light coverage and need it to last because my shifts are 12 hours long. She put a clinique foundation on me and she really nailed it. I put it on at 6 am this morning, went to work, then a party, got home round 11 pm, and my make up still looked flawless! Nice work Nicole, I'm super impressed! read more

I needed help and it wasn't extremely busy so I waited for someone to come up to me(no one did). So I told a stylist I needed assistance and 15 minutes go by and I still haven't been helped. I walked up to another stylist that wasn't doing anything and told her my issue with a current brow pallet I was using and asked for her opinion on what color to use instead to get the results I needed. She blew me off and said "yeah I would recommend what you already have sorry" and walked away. I then saw that same stylist walk up to another lady and assisted her the whole time I was there waiting... Wanting a different opinion, I waited for help for another 15 minutes and no one came. I walked up to a different stylist and she was busy chatting with a customer that had just gotten her make up done by her. I politely said "hi sorry to interrupt but I need some help finding a color and haven't been helped at all." she chuckled and said "hold on" and told the others on her radio that a customer needed help. As I walked away I heard them all laughing at me like I was being disrespectful by interrupting them.... I waited 10 more minutes in disbelief that no one had helped me yet nor wanted too. I walked up to another stylist that was cleaning her brushes and she helped me find exactly what I needed. but it took all of that time and effort just to get somebody to help me... If it wasn't for me actually needing that color, I would have gone elsewhere. Poor customer service. If it was possible I would rate my experience= 0 stars. read more

Had a coupon for a discount on anything in the store, that I got it for being a vip rouge member. I went in and bought a number of things, one being a foundation. I got home and realized that the color wasn't correct and went back to exchange it. When I got to the counter the lady says I have to pay the difference even though it's the exact same foundation, just a different color. This is absolutely ridiculous for a straight across exchange of an unused item. I will no longer be shopping with Sephora as this was the final nail in the coffin of bad service. read more

My problem is not with Sephora's products, which I exclusively buy online. My problem with Sephora is that they DON'T LISTEN when you complain about their inadequate shipper aka ONTRAC. ONTRAC is a disaster; they miss their shipping dates, they lie about the times of delivery, they say something has been delivered (when it hasn't!) I've begged Sephora to ship to me using UPS, or FedEx or even the post office, but they ignore this request and continue using the liars at ONTRAC. That decision is based on their distribution center in Reno, NV (apparently.) I'm still waiting for an order that ONTRAC lying-ly said was delivered last night at 7:05 PM. The audacity! They did not deliver anything here. I even checked with my neighbors to see if by some chance, the driver dropped it at the wrong house. Nope. Nobody's got it. We live in a really nice, cautiously overseen by the residents, area and no, packages are not stolen off the steps here. This is my breaking point with Sephora. I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me about my package. I have spent a lot of money with Sephora in a relatively short time (less than 6 mos.), so I expect better treatment as a customer. Once I get this order resolved, I'm cashing in my VIB points and DONE ordering from Sephora. read more

He talked to like as if I was stupid and gave me an attitude the whole time. He glared at me throughout the whole conversation. He said he couldn't help me and to ask one of the other ladies. Ok first of all i give anyone who has to work in customer service huge kudos,it's not easy.But i was literally looking for one item,couldn't find it so i was trying to get two employees attention(one with blue hair and a blonde) i literally said "Hi could i please get some help" multiple times,but they were too busy chitchatting,oh and actually stared right at me and one walked away.When i asked the girl with blue hair if they had it she right away said "i don't think so" after i told her the other sephora in Jcpenny had called 5 minutes ago to ask if they had it (and they did say they had it.) denied it but went to the back.She went to the back to see if they had it,and they did,which i'm super grateful for!!but the blue haired employees attitude made me feel stupid and not welcome,everyone else was fine i get it,it's probably busy during holidays,but i wouldn't bother anyone if i knew that they actually had it.Which i made sure to check before coming into the store.Its really not that hard to be nice..won't be coming back to this one ,the ladies in Jcpenny sephora are far more nicer. read more

Let me start out by saying, if I could leave zero stars I would. I will never step foot into this Sephora again. My son and I came into the store about 2 weeks ago, for my first Sephora "experience". I came in to find a good foundation, and an eye shadow palette that ulta had sold out of. I found my things, and while paying I noticed they sold glam glow masks. I mentioned it to the cashier, who was extremely nice. And she said "get a sample girl, I'll call someone over to help you." My son and I waited 15mins. For a sample. No, I'm not exaggerating and the only reason I know is because my fiancé had called right when we walked over to the glam glow. But, that's not what bothered me. I saw they had a sample pack for $40ish to try out the different masks, and was going to buy it and skip the sample. The shelf was out. They have drawers. I opened the drawer to see if they had one, and they didn't. My son said "mommy maybe it's in this one?!" The woman who was "getting my sample" comes around the corner and yelled at my son for opening the drawer. And told him (my 5 year old son) "Uh customers don't open the drawers thanks." Maybe I'm crazy, but one you shouldn't be yelling at a customer no matter their age and two if customers can't open the drawers why aren't they locked? And three, in his mother and I will discipline as I feel necessary. He was being kind, and helping me look for an item. He was being extremely well behaved and sweet trying to help his mom out. I am a manager at another retail establishment that has "understock" drawers and customers are more than welcome to open them. And I would never yell at a child for opening a drawer..I left, and called corporate. That was the next lovely experience. The girl I got on the phone didn't apologize one time. I didn't expect a gift card, or points or anything. All I wanted was "I'm sorry that happened to you" I didn't get that at all. When I said I thought it was ridiculous that when a customer complains about a bad experience she didn't apologize for the experience, I thought it was rude. She then says, "well, I added points to your account but I guess now I'll take them away." Are you kidding? Are these people not trained on providing customer service or what? I will take my money to ulta, where my son has been treated the same way I have in ulta stores. I am disappointed that on my first visit to a Sephora store we were treated poorly. read more

I have been using Bare Minerals for several years, so was excited to learn that Sephora at Clackamas Mall had it. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a store. There were no salespersons anywhere to be seen except for the person at the cash register. She was flustered and did not look up from the register to speak to anyone, except to take their money. I wandered around in the store for almost 15 minutes hoping someone would appear. When a young girl did come out from behind the shelves, she focused on one customer and stayed with her the entire time. As I left the store, two women with clipboards and name tags were standing at the door but did not even bother to look up, rather kept talking together. A quick walk to Nordstroms was the best thing I did that day, as the customer service there was welcoming, refreshing, and quick to help me find the appropriate make up.
