Unfortunately, I've never hated a coffee shop more than this. Perfect for transplants in the sense that the place felt so cold, sterile, and unwelcoming. It's not giving community coffee shop, it's giving gtfo as quick as you can. The decor and vibe just felt so off. Giving coffee shop art studio museum but in the worst way possible? Went with a friend and we both immediately felt a bad energy. The person taking our order was just a little stand off ish. We just wanted to get our drinks and get out as quick as possible. We got the blackberry matcha and a latte. You're not going for the matcha, because the matcha flavor isn't really there ~ the blackberry was fine, super sweet though. Had 3 espresso shots in the latte yet it was still somehow so watered down and had an odd aftertaste. Big yikes overall, we could've dealt with the weird pretentious vibes if the coffee was actually good. Only upside is TakuSando is a block away. EDIT: For Bri Can totally understand if people have off days, maybe the baristas were having a bad day, it happens. Either way, the review reflects what we experienced. Wow, my expectations were very high and Rhythm Zero delivered. The shop randomly smells so good, like earthy & almost like a really inoffensive perfume. The interior design is also gorgeous. The furniture and decor is so thoughtfully curated and made it seem like a gallery. There are two big couches, a few seats, and a large communal table for laptop work. Some tables outdoors too for once the weather warms up! It's really close to the Transmitter Park as well, so super convenient to take your drink to go. Service was really friendly, and although it is a small area behind the counter and it was busy, drinks came out relatively quickly. The Blackberry Pie Matcha was honestly incredible. I'm typically someone who gravitates towards seasonal/fun drinks, so this is right up my alley. I don't know how they did it, but they really captured the pie flavor in this drink. I went here as my favorite blogger/content creator hosted a pop up event with The Line Shop. We didn't have to wait online for our drinks and the servers were nice. They also had some baked goods if you needed a snack. I had the Matcha latte and it was a strong one! This cafe is super aesthetic and feels like a cozy museum gallery. There was a good amount of street parking available and a nearby lot. They encourage conversation so no wifi or computer use encouraged. I love that! Me and a few friends came in before a shopping day around the area. It was chilly so thankfully no line outside as the inside is quite big. There were no open seats but that was fine for us. We waited in line for only a few minutes and then all ordered their seasonal blackberry pie matcha. And it truly tasted like blackberry pie. For me personally it was quite sweet and in turn not my favorite matcha but still really impressive. We didn't get any food although I do regret it. Came to Rhythm Zero while staying in Greenpoint to try the iced coconut americana which I was super intrigued by. It's coconut water topped with a later of espresso foam for a refreshing, light pick-me-up kind of drink. I'm definitely a cappuccino kind of girl so I like my drinks on the stronger side but I was pleasantly surprised by this. The coconut water adds a light sweetness to the espresso. I do wish the foam was a bit richer but the airyness is nice if you want something that is closer to a milk foam than a cream top. My friend got the yuzu matcha spritz which I also tried. Citrusy and bright, it's definitely a great alternative to coffee and I could definitely see myself coming back for this as well! The cafe has some large tables inside as well as small tables on the street for a good amount of seating. I also saw people working from there on a Friday morning. I've been coming here for a while now, and it always hits the spot! It's a chill, dog friendly spot plus they have a restroom, which is always nice to have when just hanging around with friends. Service is okay, not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. They used to have a raspberry matcha latte which I loved, wish they would bring it back! What a chill coffee shop this is! It is probably because of the time I went but there were nit many people here. I mean most of the chairs/couches here were taken. There are two or three outdoor tables as well. The vibes here are pretty chill. It is on a side street of Green point and it is luckily walking distance from the ferry. The Iced Coco Americana is one of the most unique coffee drinks I've tried this year! It was super refreshing and naturally sweet from the coconut water with that lightly creamy and bold, rich intensity from the frothed espresso. You do have to keep mixing this drink aggressively for the 2 layers to mix. But before you do mix, make sure you take that cute photo. I also love their minimalistic branding on the cups. I rarely come to Greenpoint but was here today and decided to try out this cafe right near the water. The inside was super aesthetic, almost like an art gallery with white walls and aesthetic furniture. They had decent indoor seating and also some tables outside. I know they are famous for their Coconut Water Americano but since I was feeling something milky, I got a Pear Brown Sugar Latte. The staff were extremely nice and we chatted while they made our drinks. The latte was really good, with a unique scent of pear and a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon, reminding me of fall in a way. Cute and quaint coffee place in Greenpoint! Not very spacious inside, as the line went out the door with just 3-4 person wait ahead, and most tables and seats were filled even on a weekday afternoon. I've been meaning to try this cafe for what feels like forever after I had seen so many videos singing the praises of their matcha lattes. Sadly, the reality didn't quite match the hype... I ordered a matcha latte and an iced latte. The iced latte was...fine, but way too heavy on the milk. The matcha latte, on the other hand, was downright disappointing. When the drink came out, I stood there flabbergasted. I haven't seen such a bad matcha latte in what feels like months; it was grainy, the color was off, and it looked way too milky (spoiler, it was). I was already a little scared when I watched it being made, and saw the water being added to the matcha without being measured or strained...i understand that some cafes don't strain their matcha and it comes out fine but it mightve been necessary here. The result? A grainy, milky drink that lacked any hint of matcha. I haven't had matcha this underwhelming in a while..extremely disappointing. As for the ambiance, the interior itself was decent but it felt kind of basic, lacking in character, something was missing. However there was a fair amount of seating. The service was also extremely lackluster. We didn't feel very welcomed, the staff was extremely indifferent and disengaged. TLDR; You can skip this one. I haven't tried any other drinks on their menu, but their iced coconut americano alone gets 5 stars! There was a bit of a line on a Saturday morning, but it wasn't too long of a wait. It's not a huge space, but there are a few tables. You'd just have to be lucky with timing since it was mostly full I was a bit unsure of the coconut coffee drink because I had one somewhere else that used a very strong artificial coconut flavor (forgot the brand), but still decided to give this one a try. It was so good! light and refreshing, and not tooo coconutty. So glad this new-ish spot opened in Greenpoint, it was such a delight to try their solid coffee, and in the summer they had this lemon sorbet that was super interesting though quite expensive. They put the sorbet in a lemon and inside a cup just for ease of transport and it was refreshingly delicious and eating it out of a lemon is fun. The peach iced tea was also quite delicious! They also had a season latte for fall which was a spiced pear latte and that was actually really delicious, not a flavor you see too often! The vibes here are immaculate as well and they were playing some jazzy japanese music which was right up my alley. Especially in the warm months, sitting at the tables outside is such a vibe. According to my friends, I am very "picky" about coffee lol, and I LOVE this place. My favorite coffee shop in NYC recently closed, so I was so happy to find Rhythm Zero. The coconut water Americana is PHENOMENAL, and I'm not really even a coconut water fan - it is a bit pricey tho (which makes sense bc it's a speciality drink), but I think all of the other drinks are reasonably priced for NYC. I can't believe there's no milk in the Americana - it was so creamy bc of the frothed espresso, making it a nice refreshing drink! I've also tried a cappuccino here and loved it as well, so they have good espresso. My friend ordered a strawberry matcha which I tried a sip of and thought it was good but pretty sweet (I don't like super sweetened matchas though, but I thought it was significantly better than blank streets strawberry matcha) Chocolate chip cookie is DELICIOUS too if you want a sweet treat but don't wanna wait in the long lines at some nearby bakeries. Interior is very clean, but seating is limited (they have a couch and two large circular communal tables, and a few individual tables inside and outside). The furniture is an eclectic mix and match, like someone raided an antique store and decided to create a hipster haven. The bathroom was extremely aesthetic and cool. Strangely enough, it worked and vaguely reminded me of The Sipping Room by Breeze in Boston (though I do think that Rhythm Zero did a far better job with decor. I mean, I signed up for a harmonious blend, but what I got was yuzu trying to steal the spotlight. My friend took a sip and said it tasted like guava. Guava? Really? To me, it was more like a weird, bitter note gate-crashing the party. I took a sip of the Matcha Heaven and it was equally as disappointing. With a name like that, I expect an ethereal experience but was met with a milk masquerade: the matcha was so muted that it simply tasted like milk. I've had my fair share of good matcha latte moments previously working for a Japanese tea company, and this was definitely not one of them (especially for a drink named Matcha Heaven). So, while Rhythm Zero might be a visual and aesthetic delight, the drinks left me yearning for a bit more substance and flavor. Maybe next time, they'll get the balance just right. read more

One of the best cafes in Brooklyn that sells very flavorful matcha. It's such a brilliant concept with a lot of the items for sale in the cafe. The smaller lemon bars are also a must have.
