This is a complete locals bar. It seemed like everyone knew each other except for me, an outsider. I will say that the people were very friendly and the service was great. Both bar tenders were very friendly like everyone else. Today was Whiskey Wednesday but no menu or pricing on exactly what is offered and at what prices for Happy Hour. Honestly I feel like this is the best bar in Arizona. Every time I walk in I'm recognized and treated like I'm apart of a family. Crystal and Amber are the greatest bartenders in Arizona they are so kind and caring and bust ass. The main reason why I come back to this bar is because of the karaoke show. This place was awesome. I had to visit the place that has the same name as my birthday month! By the way, I am a person that loves my birrrtthhhdayyyyyyyyyy! Coming here with my bf. Bartender wouldn't take my friends ID as someone who also holds an arizona liquor license I know the laws. She was from Florida, where ID does not need to be flipped that is an Arizona (and some few other states) law. So we left as our friend couldn't get a drink. Such a homey and comfortable vibe as soon as you walk in, there's poker going, 2 soft tip dart boards, and 5 pool tables. I love the Karaoke host as well he is awesome and does a great job! One of the only bars I've found in the valley that plays rock music too, that's a super exciting experience to take a break from strictly country. They do have a TouchTunes jukebox but even then the rock still plays & I really like that touch! I recommend adding them on Facebook/Instagram because they post their day to day updates for awesome specials, themes, and events! read more

I'm one of those people who don't mind going to a low key bar because there's nothing worse than going to a bar where there's tons of 21 year olds causing drama. September's is a small cozy bar tucked away in a low key strip mall here in Mesa. It's your typical blue collar middle class bar where all the neighborhood locals seem to frequent after work looking for that cold beer to help them forget about their long day at the office. There's a couple of pool tables for people to enjoy and the bartender seem to really enjoy being there. If you're the kind of bar fly who enjoys going out but doesn't want all the drama that goes along with all those big name bars then September's is the place for you. LOVE this bar. What you see is what you get. It's a dive bar!! BUT we come Specifically for crystal. There's lots of dive bars in the area that can feel like same thing different location. Ok, my lady and I only get to see eachother twice a month, and we usually chose septembers to get the night started. There is usually this tall, obnoxiously loud and intrusive dark skinned fella that usually gets spit on my face and hits on my lady. I just ignore him, one of the charms of a dive right? Well on Friday 12/22/23 upon leaving the bar, our said friend was more liqoured up than usual and told me to shut the eff up when I walked by annoyed with him. Next thing I knew, two gentleman in plaid and cowboy boots started pushing me and telling me to eff off. Then before I knew it, I was sucker punched from behind by the original tall annoying guy. I woke up on the ground getting stomped out by all 3. I have cracked ribs, 2 black eyes, my front teeth were almost knocked out and were chipped real good, baseball sized Knotts all over my head, 3 broken fingers, and my chest and heart? I still can't lay down and get up from bed. I've searched your Instagram and Facebook for this guy but I can't find him. These guys beat the shit out of me unprovoked. This is major assault. Now I can't go to the bar I enjoy because you let this monster and his buddies hang out. The bartender with the dreadlocks is always on top of her game though. Don't punish her. By the way, this was all out front right in front of the smoking cameras. The question is, do you keep recordings. And you should probably.not let this animal hang out anymore. I was just at septembers for karaoke. The host skipped me, didn't have my song and then when I finally sang he cut me off. Not to mention he has no idea about volume control. I wasted money by ordering drinks with my wife. I would have stayed longer and had a good time if he didn't suck. read more

This is the funkiest, most eclectic neighborhood bar ever. You will see every type of person in this bar. Older, younger, all races, size, shapes behaviors are all nicely blended. They serve regular bar drinks you will find anywhere but they have Karaoke on Frridays & Saturdays which is my favorite part! You can walk in a stranger and have friends by the end of the night. Its got regulars and new comers nightly. They had a prom night where 90% of the customers came out nicely dressed or funkily nicely dressed and had a blast. It can be chill on some days and other days wall to wall. There is no prediction of the night, until you get there. I love that part as well as much as my inner me would rather only have regulars , now that I'm slowly becoming one. Its a laid back place to go. Only negative.. Sat nights need a better bartender. When I first moved to Arizona I stopped at Septembers being that it was at the end of my street and I thought I deserved a nice cold beer/ a few shots after my cross country move. My first visit went great, found out they had $1 jello shots all the time and struck up some conversation with a regular that happened to also be from Ohio originally. I left with a feeling I had found my regular bar. That weekend I decided to head back up to Septembers for a few drinks and just to feel out how the weekend crowd was. Had Karaoke going on which was cool, some girl belted out an unbelievable Evanescence which was amazing to see, but then I went to order..... was told they didnt take out of state ID's.... im almost 24 years old, had a US State issued ID to certify it, and was told I couldnt get a beer this time... Visitors from out of state keep this in mind, or if you have friends with out of state ID's. Also there is a minimum charge if you use a credit card, I think its $3.75 so make sure you plan on having more then one drink if you plan to pay that way. read more

Totally cute hole in the wall aka 'Dive' bar. They have a couple pool tables, and I happened to visit on a Karaoke night which was pretty cool. Definitely not a bar you need to get all dazzled up for but if you're looking for a 'lax spot, to grab a drink and hang out with a pretty chill crowd, then Septembers may be your bar. I overheard them say they have Bingo nights as well... so it stay pretty active and keeps you entertained and they have a pretty wide selection of alcohol, so don't stray bc you don't think they can deliver when it comes to drinks, cause that's far from the truth! read more

Went here last night with some coworkers for a few drinks! The beer is cheap and they had karaoke that night. There is all sorts of people here and not once was I bugged by a single creep. The staff is super friendly as well! The DJ at the bar played all types of music not just one type which is super cool! The bathrooms were super clean and that's always a huge plus when you go to a bar for sure! They have two pool tables there if you like to shoot pool and plenty of places to sit. Only downside was there isn't really anywhere to dance if you want to but no big deal considering it's a hole in the wall cozy bar and not a club. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you're on this side of town and want to find a chill place to throw a few back with friends! read more
