Love this gas station, but when I stopped for gas Sunday morning I clearly told the attendant I wanted $20 regular and she said ok. As I'm waiting I look back and I don't see the attendant, and my gas is still pumping almost at $40.00. I jumped out and said hey I said 20 and she's sitting on the ground. She jumped up and yelled SHIT I DIDN'T HEAR YOU!! Welp sorry!! ( then why would you continue to pump my gas if you didn't clearly hear me?) Here's the deal with this "Gas station": it's so much more than just a gas station! It's a Sweet Life retailers, a deli, a sustainable local- business that sets the standard for both other local business and hopefully in the long run our global community. The Gas: It's E10 gas, which I don't know much about, but it works and my car seems like good on it. The Deli - Mart: So yummy! They have some really wonderful sandwiches & salads. They are a little bit pricer than your average truck stop gas station sandwich, but that is because it's not your average truck stop gas station. The sandwiches are made in front of you, by friendly (and attractive) employees. They also use local, organic and fresh ingredients! Yes--the snacks here are awesome. Yes--they do serve pastries from Sweet Life. Yes--it's the best little gas station in the West. However, one of the really cool pieces about SeQuential is their cutting-edge work on the biofuels front. They are a truly local, community-based organization. The technology that's available at the plant in Salem allows for ANY vegetable oil to be processed into biodiesel, including soy, canola, and olive oils! I love that BOTH locally collected waste cooking oil and Oregon-grown canola are used as feedstocks. Keeping it local, and not over-using corn (particularly factory-farmed, intensely GMO'ed corn) are important elements in the biofuel movement. I encourage all Eugenians to meander over to SeQuential on bike, foot, or vehicle and check out the innovation we've got going on in our own backyard. read more

Thanks to the kind and apologetic words of the manager we decided to get snacks after our adventures at Mt. Pisgah. We were NOT disappointed! The staff was super friendly, courteous, prompt and engaging. The fellow pumping our fuel gave our pooch a yum. He also didn't laugh at us as we shouted Mt. Pisgah at him( Sequential donates $.05 a gallon to pisgah or the raptors center when you fuel up there). The lady behind counter inside was charming. She joked with me as I slobbered over the delicious assortment of cookies(humble bagel), candies (sweet life), donuts(holey donut) and cupcakes(divine cupcake). She then proceeded to make me a scrumptious soy mocha. All in all this trip was a treat and we'll be back again on our next Mt. Pisgah exploration. read more

If you're heading home in the middle of the night and you need gas, stop here. This ladies that worked there have a great personality. I thought I was in a twilight zone episode. Think of a clean Chevron that smashed into a Whole Foods, and you end up with SeQuential. I thought it was a bit odd that a gas station clerk could make a whoop ass Latte. I tried to buy my girlfriend a milky way candy bar, no go. They only had organic chocolate. So I bought the Newmans Organics Dark Chocolate for her. Very tasty. I have a hard time imagining a better for a place to fill up your tank when on a road trip - both your car, and your stomach. We always seem to stop by here when visiting Eugene, or when heading down to Medford to visit family. Like others have said, it's like whole foods or new seasons had a child with a bio-diesel stand and had a mutant baby station that kicks major ass. Love getting a bagel and mocha here along with the car full up. It can be a little more expensive than other gas stations, but your getting so much more than a dried up hotdog and toxic soda pop. Stop by next time you are on your way through Eugene. read more

A hippy gas station, I can get biodiesel here right off I-5 for my Volkswagen Golf whenever I'm passing through. The service here is great, and I love all the healthy, organic options in the convenience store. I ordered a tempeh rueben and it was delicious. They also have free coffee or tea for purchases of 5 gallons or more. I wish all gas stations were like this. read more

SeQuential finally puts a face to renewable and alternative energy sources here in Oregon. I don't have the moola to get into the bio-diesel transportation equation but I can support this local station by fueling up with E10 gasoline. I like knowing that there is a Eugene connection coming up with new answers to the problem of energy consumption. What I like most about this station are the little things. There are mixed recycling containers at the pumps instead of just the traditional garbage/window cleaner trash cans. The Quikie-Mart stocks the shelves with locally produced foods and products. The roof over the filling station is a fully functioning photovoltaic array harnessing energy to run the place. There's even a kiosk inside to check how much energy is being produced in real time and throughout the day, pretty cool. read more

Okay, first off, ALL gas stations in Oregon sell E10. 90% gasoline blended with 10% ethanol. It's state law to reduce pollution. To that point, Sequential's gas (at least their E10) is no more/no less environmentally conscious than other stations'. Anyway, Sequential is my go-to stop for fueling up - because they put forth the effort to provide great service. Despite being in a gas station, their coffee and food are actually quite good, and I often skip lunch and just grab something here on the way out of town. The pizzas and sandwiches are especially tasty. Even the vegan stuff, which I normally wouldn't touch with a ten-foot-meat-pole, is delicious. How in the hell? I don't understand it. Maybe I don't need to. The gas prices are normally 5c - 10c higher than the place across the way, but it's worth an extra dollar per tank to a.) have the attendant greet you with a smile b.) not have to wait for seventy-four other cars to be fueled up and c.) to avoid the generally grimy, nasty, gas-station feel. Billed as an eco friendly gas station with health food shop attached, it comes close to meeting expectations but leaves room for improvement. The ethanol gas and biodiesel is there as advertised. The store is a biz-zillion times better than pretty much any other gas station out there. Imagine your local organic food coop doing gas, this is it... But not quite as well as it could. It's an instant 4 stars for existing, despite the fact it only exists due to redistributed stolen money... At least it's disruptive and counter to what's done with all the stolen proceeds at the federal level.... A gas station wants to have tasty snacks no matter the time of day, and although the coffee and chai was excellent, the selection of sweet pastries and other packaged snacks we had here was lack luster and would earn by their own merits only 2 stars. This is the only local "gas" station in town. And for that they've got my patronage. And I dont even have a bio-diesel auto. The best grab and go selection in town, I love the constantly changing offerings. These guys really try. I hope the whole world discovers them, but I know realistically 10 cents a gallon higher has some dummies buying gas next door. Well, Ill pay a premium on a local business with local ethics. "Dont stop thinking about tomorrow.."........but Im not convinced putting ethanol in our tanks is the answer BTW......but reusing old oil most definitely is a good start, and starts to ask the right questions. How can anyone not love SeQuential? This is the type of place where all the staff are genuinely nice which is a rare treat indeed. Most staff members for countless businesses are nice only because management told them they had to be, but the fine folks at SeQuential are all superbly nice because they want to be, and this marks the difference which makes them shine. Also, they make their own bio-fuels from used vegetable oil, they support countless community organizations, they have used oil reclamation services, and the food and beverages served in the market are only natural, organic or local. I love this place! I stop by there everytime I'm heading south on the freeway to get a snack. They have the best vegetarian and vegan snacks and the food is GOOD! Can't say the same for a few of the other vegetarian/vegan food places I've been. I get the, I think it's called E10 gas. It is supposed to be 10% ethanol so better for the environment. I love the roof of the building, it has all kinds of stuff growing up there. They said it helps it stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer and save on electricity. I really like coming here to get my gas...even tho my car isn't bio diesel...and it's a little more expensive than other conventional gas stations..but I'm paying for that quality service that they give me every time I go there! I haven't driven a gas car for years. So why go to a gas station? They have alternatives, including a specialty charging station that works with my electric vehicle. I use it every time I drive from Seattle to California. A lot of people that don't understand electric cars suggest putting charging stations at gas stations. But charging is different than getting gas; who wants to hang out at a gas station? When it's this one, I do. This is one of my favorite stops. Very friendly staff, GREAT food with lots of veggie options, a small store, restrooms you can change in if you're going for a walk, free WiFi. And even though they sell gas (yuk) they seem to do everything possible to create a green business. read more

I love this place!! Where else can you get a fill up and kombucha on tap? Their food is really great, sandwiches, bagels, treats, all great. Some people have mentioned that their gas is a little more than the place next door but that is not really the case anymore since the neighbors charge more for credit than cash. I was out looking to vacuum for my truck. Seems simple until you're a traveler in new towns and cities. It is hard to remember every gas station I go into. Well, it was hard until I pulled into here ONLY because they had a vacuum. First thing I noticed is the roof of the building is covered with green grass. Next, I saw the gas attendant had dread locks which always makes me smile. On the way inside to get some quarters a sign says they have kombucha on tap. When I open the door I see a large display of baked goods: scones, muffins, bagels and such. There's a kitchen behind the register that makes all organic sandwiches and salads. The coolers are stocked with only clean choices. Hands down the most healthy fill up station I have EVER been in, both for your you body and your vehicle offering alternative fuels, biofuels along with regular gasoline for the majority. Thank you for having a vacuum !! Support this station!! I was in Eugene for one week. I ate a raspberry/chocolate scone, filled my growlerette twice and ate breakfast sandwiches from here. A Eugene institution: I've been coming for more years than I remember, even though it's more of a trek to McVay after they stopped selling B5 at their Chambers location (my car will only go B7 max).
