Incredible customer service, exceeding all expectations! Found menu on Instagram and took a chance to message if they were open. The worst breakfast I have ever had!!! If I could give a negative review of less than one star I would. Had breakfast there on Saturday morning 5/29/21. Service was extremely SLOW. Decided to eat inside instead of out because we thought they would notice us a lot sooner, it helped a little. Ordered a cappuccino, tasted like dirty water. I asked to send it back (something I rarely do) ordered a regular coffee instead, which was just as bad. I asked for water and it tasted like they served it in dirty cups or the water was served straight from the lake. It was horrible. The food was just as bad. Kept having to ask the server for more syrup, she forgot my toast, etc. I was trying really hard to stay positive for my family's sake but when I could see the horrible experience on their faces also, I knew it just wasn't me. My husband even asked me to make sure I write an honest review to help people avoid eating there. It's unfortunate, especially since the options for breakfast in the surrounding areas were limited. My husband and son ordered the streak tips and eggs and I ordered there big breakfast platter with ham, sausage, bacon, etc. the Ham was like lunch meat. Hopefully, there bbq during the day makes up for the horrible breakfast experience, I will not be returning to find out. Family trip to the Sequoias, the hotel recommend this place for dinner. The restaurant was deserted one party of 6 aside from ours, which came in after we did. We had a reservation so we got seated first but the waitress attended the walk-in party of 6 before us...We waited patiently until she was done taking their orders. The food was coming out of the kitchen fast, we didn't really give that much thought as we were all hungry and excited to be in the beautiful area and with family. Everyone's food looked delicious but tasted bland, the fries lack salt if any was added, sodas were flat, I had to switch plates with my bf who was nice enough to forcibly eat my burger (Mexican Burger) the meat was overcooked for some and what was later revealed as uncooked or not handled properly from the doctor who treated my sister for food poisoning the following morning. Love this Three Rivers restaurant. We booked our house in Three Rivera not knowing we couldn't access Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks from here, due to road construction. We came here after not being waited on at all at another place. We were seated right away by a friendly host. Our waitress took our drink order right away and our food order when she brought our drinks. We split the Tequila Lime Grilled Chicken. Instead of refried beans and rice, we got it with broccoli and carrots and rice. I honestly thought the vegetables would be the frozen, tasteless kind but I was pleasantly surprised when they were fresh and were cooked perfectly! The chicken was really tasty and so was the rice. Very smart idea to have a grill outside the restaurant, great smell to invite customers! I came here with my family on a Friday during early dinner hours. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. The hostess was super sweet as she sat as down. We sat indoors because it was in the 90s all week. Darn you, summer sun. The four of us started off with the the nachos. They were just alright, nothing special. I wish it was more loaded. I've had more stuffed and filling nachos for the same price at other places. I ordered the NY Steak with mashed potatoes and veggies (carrots and broccoli) as my sides. I had my steak medium rare and was cooked great. Right amount of pepper on it and I enjoyed it. I wish I had my mom's ribs that she ordered. It truly did slide off the bone and it was so delicious. I also had an horchata to drink but it was very watery. Other than when we got our check, our waitress (not the same nice hostess from the beginning) only checked up on us once the entire dining time and didn't seem enthusiastic. This is the first stop you see going up to sequoia National park. Since it's the first restaurant you see you should pull over and try their amazing bbq ribs! They definitely have the meats and the food is delicious. They have two amazing girls working and bringing you your food. They try to get to everyone as fast as possible. They are nice and courteous. When it's busy the can be slammed but be patient, the food is worth the wait. Check them out if you are ever driving out there. read more

Just like in any other national park, the restaurant options are scarce so you have to pretty much go with whatever "looks good". That's exactly how we ended up here. This place claimed to have the best ribs in town (there are probably 5 restaurants in the whole town) so we went with the ribs. I was actually impressed with them. The meat was very tender it practically fell off the bone. You could clearly taste the wood flavor from the smoker and it was cooked just right. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was the fact that they put too much BBQ sauce so I suggest you get that on the side. The nachos were ok. Nothing special about them. They use ground beef, which I wasn't too big of a fan of but it satiated my hunger. We also ordered rice because the hubs and I are big rice lovers. Unfortunately it lacked flavor so I would suggest skipping that. Keep in mind that you don't go to a national park to fine and dine, therefore most of these restaurants are normally average. If I could give a - 10 star review I would To start we asked the waitress who obviously who didn't know the difference between a Dr Pepper and Mr pip so when she came back to the table we asked what they had to drink and she was clueless and pointed to the page on the menu with the drinks the mr pips were very watered down We ordered 3 ribeye steaks with salads the salad came out wilted I asked for no tomatoes on my salad and sent it back and when I got it back it looked like all they did was picked out the tomatoes and sent it back out. When we got the steak it was very tuff, chewy and no flavor other than the rotten taste the meat had to it, the meat had grey in the fatty part of the steak, the mashed potatoes had no flavor and only had butter on them the baked potatoes was shriveled up and tasted like it was from yesterday, the whole table took three bites and couldn't eat anymore when we told the cashier they still rung us up for the 127 bill that we had, even thought we ate nothing I do not recommend anyone eating at this restaurant unless you want to be sick I now have a stomach ache and questioning if I should go to the er to get my stomach pumped!! read more

A nice restaurant in this town near the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We enjoyed a meal here after a long day of driving. I debated for a long time whether to give them three or four stars. Overall our experience was quite good, but I had a couple of quibbles. But the friendly service, nice location, and generally good food got them up to four stars. We arrived just before sunset and chose to sit outside since it was such a pleasant contrast to the cool, rainy weather we've had recently in the PNW. Just as the sun set, the number of annoying bugs increased, enough to drive some diners inside. We stuck it out and were pleased that as it got darker the number of bugs decreased to a reasonable level. My wife had the tequila lime chicken which is a grilled chicken breast covered in pico de gallo. All the entrees are served with a choice of two sides. Both my wife and I chose the vegetables and refried beans. The beans were tasty and as one would expect. The vegetables were good, but cooked to the point of being very soft. They were carrots and string beans. The problem was that the string beans had not been cleaned. They still had their stems and strings, which made them unpleasant to eat as served. One had to pick up the very soft bean and break off the stem and pull the string before they were ready to eat. I had the carne asada with the same sides as my wife. The meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. Both of our entrees were cooked over a wood fired grill which imparted a nice smokey flavor. In addition to their Mexican inspired entrees, they also had a nice selection of steaks, burgers and seafood. Not a bad option for a small town. read more

Me and my wife drove in from out of town to visit nearby Sequoia National Park. We went there around 8pm on a Tuesday and there seemed to be a pretty decent crowd for a random week day. My wife and I ordered: Chips and Queso: Wife thought the chips were average - I thought they were OK. $5 for the app and a dollar to add a small amount of meat. Took a little time to come out and was a decent portion for two people to split. They had no problems putting our jalapeños on the side. Hawaiian Burger: Wife commented that the burger was hot and 'pretty good'. The burger was $8.49 and came with fries - the wife and I both thought the fries were a little under done but there was a goodly 'fat American' portion of them. Half-rack of Ribs: There were some banners out front advertising their BBQ so I opted to try the ribs for $17.99. It came with fries (I thought it could have perhaps come with two sides for the price) but they had no problem switching out the fries for mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were.. underseasoned. Like no salt and pepper at all. Don't know if it was an error of omission but it was something I could fix with the condiments at hand and 25 seconds of shaking. Mashed potatoes were a little chunky and not obviously out of the box, so that was good. Ribs were pretty decent but not great - cooked well and seemed to have a good amount of meat on the bones. BBQ sauce tasted good and not like something out of a bottle. Wondered if I should have gotten steak when I finished it. Wife also described the ribs as 'decent' and she eats ribs much more than I. Fried Ice Cream: The wife and I split the fried ice cream. She liked the cherry on top but was disappointed that there was no cinnamon in the fried shell coating (the restaurant offering many hispanic dishes and this being semi-common elsewhere). I thought it was pretty good but $7 for fried ice cream seemed a little steep. The portion size was large and the middle was cold and not too melty so all good in my book. The best part about the resteraunt was the ambiance and the staff. We ate outside on the deck as did most customers that night and it was a very pleasant environment - no problems with bugs either. The staff was courteous and attentive - drinks didn't go unfilled and we weren't rushed to finish or pay. They were friendly and devoted individual attention to our table outside of just taking orders and dropping off food. There was a forgotten side of gravy for the mashed potatoes but all in all better service than a lot of places and very nice folks. I wish I could rate the food and the service seperately! Bottom line: Great service and good locale - stick to the grill and it isn't a bad place to spend an evening. read more

Best ribs in town? Maybe - given the town is so small. Other reviews got my hopes up for some steak and ribs, so after a day of hiking in Sequoia my group came in around 6, hungry and ready to eat. We ordered and received our food relatively quickly. Overall, I was disappointed by the inconsistency of the food. Most of the people in my group were in some way dissatisfied by their meal. In addition, the steak was ridiculously priced for something that tasted so terrible. Ribs - Some parts were tender, fall-off-the-bone, some parts were very dry. They were more edible with the sauce. Steak (New York) - Parts were well done and parts were rare. All parts were flavorless and too chewy. Almost inedible. Enchiladas - Okay. Meat kind of dry. They messed up my mother's order, so she got her food when we were all almost done eating. Chicken - Very dry. Not good. Fajitas - Meat quality not good. Rice - Not good. Strange color. Not enough flavor. The only redeeming quality of this place is the nice waiters. My family and I were leaving Sequoia National Park around 8pm and caught them about 30m before closing time because we were absolutely famished. They were kind to offer us to go menues and we had the Wood Oven cooked filet mignon and rib eye steak. The food was ready in 20m and we ate in our car on the way home. My son was given the wrong drink, the horchata was powdered and gross, my husband and son had to switch burgers because they were given the wrong sides, the hamburger on my nachos was undercooked and our bill was completely wrong. This spot was convenient during our stay visiting Sequoia National Park but unfortunately was sub par. The service was not bad at all, everyone was super friendly but the food was rather expensive and not worth the money. The water had a strange aftertaste and the side of ranch that was delivered tasted as if it had gone bad. Definitely your below average diner style food but with a much higher price. There was also an insane amount of flies inside of the restaurant. Coming in the summer that's not something to complain about too much but eating at other restaurants outside we did not experience as many flies as we did here. Sad to say that we will not be visiting the cider mill again unless some changes made. read more

The burger I ordered, Mexican burger, terrible, super greesy, which made the bread soggy , the chilis on the burger tasted old. We were a party of three, and there was one other party of five That was it, in the whole restaurant. Despite the emptiness, the waitress was slow to bring drinks, and we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and she forgot them until she brought our entrees. She forgot my side of Thousand Island dressing as well. And we asked for marinara sauce with our mozzarella sticks and she brought Ranch dressing instead. My burger was probably the worst I've ever had. Obviously from a frozen patty, not made fresh. It was completely flavorless, bland and dry. It was $14.99. The woman told us this was her favorite spot. We were very excited to try it. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. I asked the server what her favorite meal was she recommended the chicken enchiladas. Being a server for years I do this often feeling the servers know what's best! When the food arrived the enchiladas looked like a paste on top of them and very dry. The rice was mush. Very comparable to what you would expect in a cafeteria for a meal.
