We've heard a lot of great things about Tony's Taverna and we were so excited to try it out for ourselves. We made a same-day reservation and showed up for dinner on a Sunday evening. The hostess was charming and kind. We were seated in the patio, the first guest of the evening shift. The waiter did take a little while to greet us. Once greeted, he was kind and professional. We ordered an appetizer and then he never returned until he delivered our entrées. He also didn't return again until we were done with our meal. We wanted water refills and bread refills. We had further questions and he was nowhere to be found. We started with the Grilled Spanish Octopus which was so refreshing. Will definitely order that again. My husband had the Branzino and the rice was overly al dente like way too al dente. We waited for the waiter to come back so we can discuss the rice but again he left us a bit stranded. The food got cold as we waited and waited to flag down the waiter but he was no where to be found. My husband reluctantly ate the cold hard rice. I had the salmon gnocchi. It was good but extremely heavy. The baklava was a nice size and was delicious. Once the waiter arrived with the bill we shared our food experience with him and he said he'd notify the kitchen but that was it. No service. He didn't even try to make it right. Just a bit disappointing. I can only give 3 stars as the service was lacking and the rice was sadly a miss! The bill was $147 and I wished we could say it was worth it.

We were on our way to Sequoia National Park and honestly weren't expecting much when it came to food in the area... but Tony's Taverna completely surprised us. This place is such a gem. The vibe is amazing--live music, relaxed but lively atmosphere, and it works perfectly for both lunch or dinner. It's a Mediterranean spot inspired by the flavors of Cyprus, and you can really taste that authenticity in the food. We actually met the chef, and it made the experience even better knowing the care and background behind the menu. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made--definitely not your typical "tourist area" food. Parking was super easy (which matters a lot on those winding roads), and the location is perfect if you're heading in or out of the park. Inside, it's cozy and comfortable with a homey feel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Honestly, don't overthink it--if you're in the area, just go here. We'd 100% come back.

    Branzino - it was delicious!!

We came here during a trip to Sequoia and it was the best meal we had on the trip. There was a long wait on a weekend even though we got there around 4:30pm and there was a lot of open seating. We also had to wait a while for service and to get our food. Not sure if they were understaffed but the food made up for it and they were also friendly. The branzino was my favorite - it had a smoky flavor to it and no bones. It complimented the rice nicely and we subbed the veggies for fries. The fries were huge and delicious! The place is new/remodeled and had plenty of seating inside. There was also an outdoor covered area with live music playing and sports on the tvs. Would come back on the next trip and make a reservation to hopefully help with the wait or get take out.

Pretty atmosphere, patio seating available, live relaxing music, friendly service, and fantastic appetizers! We had the spicy feta and Halloumi (pictured). Both were delicious!

Everything here was great. I came in after a long day and hike in sequoia park. And this food hit the spot.. Cheese was great paired with the jam. Insane combo. And the lamb. I pulled the bone it. It's tender. And flavorful. Mixed in with the mash potatoes, and some of that sauce on it. Amazing. If you live in the area or want to eat real good after a long day in the park, come here

The ambiance is nice. Nicely designed establishment. The wait staff is very knowledgeable given the fact they are mostly young. All in all the place is perfect. We had some time and thought we would give them a try. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food so I was very excited. We were kind of shocked they only served beer and wine and not a full bar selection. Food wise we went with a gyro with fries and were both disappointed. The bread itself tasted very fresh and pillowy, but the meat tasted old and lacked flavor or even enough sauce to overcome the lack of flavor. The fries were crispy and tasted quite amazing. Very disappointed in that regard, expected more. Maybe it was just our table and meal, because many other customers seem to have been enjoying all their meals.

Brand new, soft opening while restaurant and staff operation sort things out. Still very rough around the edges Wine menu- Better selection than the restaurants at Three Rivers. Quality wineries suitable for this establishment aspirations. Beer menu. Have more than 15 on tap plus bottled choices. Great for weekend guys outing Bathroom one have handicap access both are gender neutral. Smartly decorated with mediterranean blue tiling accent. Clean Outdoor covered patio - is the star attraction. Their indoor spaces sparse yet cozy for winter nights. Food presentation executed well. Chicken Caprese tender and juicy that explodes flavor. Well done. Will be checking out their other Greek fare like Spanakopita. I like a good dining venue that have good wine options that make my dining experience exceptional Pricing- On the upscale side of budget friendly, basically par for the local area. Parking is the tough part. It has space for about 7-9 cars. Street parking is very haphazard after that. I know this place is going to be popular. This will play a bigger part of the in-demand dining experience. Scored 4 star, as the crew refined their workflow and determined their roles.

Here's a pic of one of the orders they charged us for (the correct one). That orange cake thing was good though.

My husband and I visited this establishment last weekend as we were staying in Three Rivers to visit the national parks. We dropped in on Friday around 8pm just for a coffee and dessert but once we were seated, we were not provided any menus nor were we checked on or greeted by a waitress for about 30 minutes. Once we finally ordered our dessert, we noticed others seated around us were also waiting for an absurd amount of time to get attended. We even saw a couple of small parties leave due to the lengthy wait. The restaurant was not even that busy so I'm not sure what the issue was there. The hostess at the front was also proving to be unhelpful during this time as she was just standing there ignoring the calls from the nearby tables requesting a waitress, check, and even a box! Wow, talk about "it's not in my job description"! After we received our check around 9:30pm, my husband paid with his credit card that we also didn't see again for another 15 minutes and once we finally got out of there and after a few days later, he realized that Tony's not only charged for our $27 bill but someone else's $100+ bill. We were already home at this point so all he could do was call his credit card company and Tony's to get the $100+ charge refunded. After speaking to manager Derek, the issue has still not been resolved. Apparently neither of those charges could be "found in their system". We still also have not received a call back from this manager as he stated he would do as of two days ago. That call back would still be nice. C'mon Tony's. Do better, please.

We came across Ol Buckaroo off a recommendation by our AirBnB Host. It was so good we came in TWICE for dinner on different days during our stay. I'll highlight both meals I had. But first, the service was great. Both times we came in the restaurant wasn't terribly busy (around 5 PM on weekdays) and we were seated right away. Keep in mind by 6ish/6:30 loads of customers were coming in. The restaurants is cute and small inside with maybe 10-12 tables, but a ton of outdoor seating with mist-fans. We decided to stay inside both times. Our servers who take care of us on both days were attentive and kind, getting us everything we needed quickly and constantly checking on us. Regarding the food: 1st night I ordered the "Pesto Pasta with chicken"--Spaghetti with a creamy basil pesto sauce. To drink I ordered their house-made soda--soda with Watermelon flavoring (yum). You get a large portion of delicious spaghetti (definitely your money's worth) soaked in pesto sauce. The chicken was tender and moist. It was a perfect, carb-filled meal following a long day of hiking. The soda was also tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this dish to anyone coming in with some big-time hunger. The 2nd visit I ordered the "Buckaroo Burger:"--a durham ranch beef patty, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato and Buckaroo sauce. I had a side of fries and to drink, the "Pims Cup:" Sparkling Water, lemon, cucumber, and fruit garnish. On the menu the drink is described as, "slightly sweet and refreshing with a hint of anise flavor," perfectly described and true. The burger was good (maybe not as good as the Pesto Pasta I had a couple nights before, but good). It was everything a good burger should be! Ol Buckaroo contributed to our amazing stay and vacation and we hope to come back one day. We'll definitely be recommending to any of our friends and family who ever plan to go to Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks. What a gem.

The first red flag should have been when we arrived at 10 a.m. and the front door was still locked, despite there being two groups on the patio and a couple of cars in the lot. We brushed it off, thinking maybe we'd just missed the breakfast rush. The service was slow, but that wasn't the real issue. The food quality was absolutely bottom of the barrel. Our orders were incorrect, they were out of basic items like milk, and the French toast tasted like it had been made with toilet water. It was completely inedible. After the French toast meals were removed, we still walked out paying over $70 for just drinks and two kids' meals. Completely unacceptable. Never again--we should've trusted our gut and left the moment we started questioning it. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else. I ordered my food around 8:30 pm tonight. Lady on phone said it would be ready in 15min. I got there about 8:50 and the food had just come out. Now about the food.. first off I have never been to a place that you can order steak with refried beans and Mexican rice. Lol..So I knew I had to order it! I ordered the rib eye steak, beans and veggies. I wasn't expecting anything great but let me tell you..the food was very good. I first took a bite of the medium rare steak and it was cooked perfect! Then I had to try those beans! And they were really good and the veggies were perfectly soft but not too soft. Usually when I eat at Texas Roadhouse their veggies are always too crunchy. So this was a big surprise. I will be here one more day and more than likely I will be coming back to eat in their outdoor dining area. Sometimes you just have to give something a chance.

But there was something we had not considered, we were going to be going to a place that required us to be fresh and ready to receive the wonder of place by a lack and we only had the energy for an angry stop at a gas station. So this place I visited when I was tired and that kind of gunked up the experience. If I would have gone with more energy to fully open my eyes than this experience would have been wondrous. When I booked the reservation I did it because it was a place by a lake. I enjoy water front dining and I usually use an ocean for scenery and today I was in a place where I could use a large creek. And since I was not going with any specific expectations that lake hit me like a bucket of wow. I remember like seeing the mouth of the lake going down like actual rocks. Like I was seeing the waters that people raft on with commitment to the outdoors. It felt like I had traveled into a place where trees were purest, bird melodies were the only noise in town (besides the water running in the creek), and cabins belonged to those who called the mountains home. I was in a novel and for some reason I felt like it was written by Twain. And that is really what I can say about this place. That is mostly what I remember the beauty of the creek. I wanted to spend more time there, I could have walked it, they had like a lounge but I did not. But I do remember the forested view that went on, and the roaring, jagged leg being a central character other than that I have small things to say. I remember the salad being ok. Denise and I shared a dish, I can't remember why but we did not eat the whole thing. It was inherently bad. But this could have been an off night, or just not the dish of the place, and really you go here for the lake, and the food was great in some ways just not in this specific way. I went to this place a few weeks ago, and, if I had not make it clear I remember the experience of being with the lake. So go here for that experience and let the rest just fall into place.

Throughout the meal, our waiter made sure everything was to our liking and even asked for our honest opinions on anything they could improve, which showed they really care about their guests' experiences. This place set the bar high, and I'll be back every time I'm in town. Highly recommended!

I'd give Sebby's a 3.5, rounding up to a 4! I had dinner around 8/9pm on Valentine's Day so the…read moremenu I got was a little more pared down than their usual. What worked: -- servers and staff were all very kind -- there's decent menu variety and something for everyone to enjoy -- the music and vibe inside was a nice mix of busy yet intimate, it's a great place for a date or fancy night out What didn't work: -- I think this is likely due to it being Valentines Day, but the service was pretty spotty. Servers almost gave us someone else's food twice and it took a while for our food to get to our table. -- my dish (shrimp primavera) could have had a little more going for it! The pasta and veggies could have been a little more seasoned (and I would have loved more veggies), and the shrimp was waaaaay too salty, it was difficult to eat it all. It definitely wasn't a bad dish but a few small tweaks could have made it really wonderful Overall, I'd come here again! I think this might have just been an off night and I'd love to return to try some of their other dishes. The environment was a pleasant one to be in and I enjoyed the meal (and, of course, the company).

There were two options: the full experience rodizio or the salad bar and side dishes only. However, when we were seated, we were immediately told the instructions for the full experience. Personally I would only do the full experience as the salad bar wasn't varied or tasty enough for the $34.95 price tag. The salad bar and hot foods were on the mushier side. I wished the sauces were formatted in a different format as the chimichurri sauce was very far from the edge. Hence, there was a high risk of cross contamination and spillage. The mustard pasta salad was bland and limp. The potato salad fared a similar dull taste and resembled a starchy lump. The tomatoes were grainy and dry. The pao de queijo was disappointedly under the ray of death so they weren't too hot nor crispy. I wished my party got to experience fresher baskets of bread. =FULL EXPERIENCE= We were told that there were 17 available meats but we only experienced some of them. However, we enjoyed how we got to taste them when they were hot and cooked perfectly. *Picanha: one of my favorites. The fat cap was rendered and seasoned well. The meat was medium rare, tender and juicy. This had the greatest beef flavor. *Chicken with Bacon: the chicken was tender but the bacon had a stronger smokey flavor. The bacon shone more than the chicken. *Pork Belly: my other favorite piece. There were bits of fat dispersed throughout so it was moist and flavorful. There was subtle crispiness from the fat browning. *Spicy Linguica: the spice was subtle and the casing gave a satisfying snap. The interior was juicy but it was on the saltier side. *Pork Ribs: surprisingly tender and fall of the bone. The sauce was a sweeter barbeque and the ribs were on the wetter side. There wasn't any smokiness, char or caramelization but the flavors and texture were still good. *Peppered Steak: on the tougher side but still oozed out meaty juice. *Garlic Steak: similar to the peppered steak only saltier. The garlic flavor wasn't very prominent and this piece left me thirsty. I would have preferred a garlic sauce as opposed to the concentrated garlic powder taste. *Tri Tip: the best option for a leaner cut. The meat was tender and juicy. This was similar in flavor to the picanha but without the fattiness. *Grilled Cinnamon Pineapple: the cinnamon hardened around the pineapple, offering a satisfying crunch followed by a gush of sweet fruitiness. The simplistically made this my favorite rendition from a Brazilian steakhouse. This was a great meal ender despite us getting flan afterwards. *NY Strip: this was a daily special. This was a leaner cut so the beefiness was prominent but I preferred the other meats with more fat. =A LA CARTE= Not included in the all you can eat experience. *Mojito: refreshing and citrusy. There was a good amount of alcohol included. *Pudim: great way to end the meal. The Brazilian flan was dense and creamy. There was a thin layer of caramel sauce on top but it wasn't too sweet. The portion size was nicely shareable between two people. Unfortunately, they didn't bring out the shrimp until we were full so we didn't get to try it. Otherwise the service was consistent and attentive. Our server even asked about which meats were our favorites so they could bring them back out for us. There were multiple groups celebrating birthdays and they brought out their staff to sing happy birthday. During an all you can eat experience, good service is the lifeline and this was some of the best service I've received. The ambiance was stellar and this was my favorite dining experience in the Central Valley. The meats blew the salad bar and sides out of the water so I would return just for that. Although this was a pricier option, the quality and service were 5 stars.
