I definitely want to issue a WARNING to people thinking of going here. My first appt with Dr Noland was really great + I was excited to work with someone who seemed knowledgeable to help me with my hormonal imbalances. As time went on + I started getting iron treatments {$150 each btw}, I noticed disorganized communication. I started traveling for about 10 months, scheduling virtual sessions + continuing to take recommended supplements. When I was back in town, I called for an emergency iron infusion, feeling very weak + tired. The office set up the appt, then notified me a few days before that they wouldn't do it until I had a new blood test. I asked why they waited until right before the appt to notify me, since I could have gotten it done weeks ago. Now, I was only in town a week + stuck. They still declined. I got the blood work done + waited for the results. After 30 days, I called extremely confused. They had forgotten {for a month} to upload my results to the portal. I was understandably upset. My increasing weakness + struggle was causing a lot of issues. When I sent an email to Dr Noland explaining all of what happened, I wasn't met with an apology. I was sent a termination notice. My wonderful friend is a happy client here and made a referral for us to see Dr Noland. I understand she is one of many happy clients so my experience may be outside the norm, but I feel strongly enough that others considering this practice might benefit from my experience. I am undergoing chemo at a hospital and was looking for a complementary naturopath for the holistic approach they def don't take at hospital. In order to understand my body's needs, Dr Noland said he would order some blood and I could go to Quest labs, thats it, not special instructions, warning or expectation setting. So I took the order and waited as I saw the look on the tech's face when she told me my Dr wanted 24 vials (see pic for visual) and that it wasn't safe and what did I want to do? We had no instruction from Dr Noland that it would be this much (I don't know how to read blood work orders) and if we needed to prioritize which ones should we do first. Additionally the tech wanted me to sign two forms stating that my insurance would not cover about $980 of the fees. Maybe Dr could help with a letter but maybe not. Again, never heard anything about that from Dr Noland. I felt scared, vulnerable in my body and with my financial resources. We ended up doing 8 vials. I wrote to Dr Noland about my experience and he wrote back (after 4 days) the most un-empathatic, un-caring and brusque response I could have ever imagined from a care-giver. I'm happy to share both my letter to him and his reply to me if anyone wants to see first hand. Message me. Anyway, it clearly wasn't a good match so I said ok, we're not a fit. If you see it in your heart please donate, in both our names, the money I paid to you so far to the Mayor's Covid-19 Relief fund. Let's make something positive out of this mis-connection. He might be a great doctor but if you care about your money and if you don't have medical experience with bloodwork and urine samples etc, you may want to demand a careful evaluation of all aspects of everything he wants you to do. In 2016 I was diagnosed with late stage Lung cancer. I immediately made an appointment with Diana Noland who is one of the most brilliant dieticians on the planet, a mentor and a friend. After discussing my situation and putting together a good nutrition plan, she recommended that I see her son Dr. Joel Noland, for further cancer treatment which included various intravenous infusions known to aid in cancer treatment. These included high dose Vitamin-C and Ozone therapies. I began with Vit-C infusions right away while continuing with the "gold standard" chemo assisted radiation prescribed by my oncologist. This is a hideous treatment which destroys the immune system, makes you feel like death warmed over, causes hair to fall out, and a plethora of other side effects. I continued getting my infusions throughout chemo/radiation, along with a very aggressive list of immune building supplements. At one point I developed esophagitis from the radiation. This is so painful and you are unable to swallow. Dr. Noland guided me through that period with a high nutritional value liquid diet. I got through without losing a ton of weight and was able to keep up my infusions. Another point I developed colitis which can be very serious. He also was able to help me through that to were I no longer had any symptoms. Dr. Noland addresses the root of the problem rather than putting you on steroids which is a temporary patch that so many MD's prescribe. After almost a year of treatment I can happily say that I am in remission now going on 3 years. In my heart I feel that this is due to Dr. Noland. The front staff is generally unresponsive / forgetful and have made several scheduling mistakes or simply do not return calls and emails. I also had bad experience with the dentist that works with Dr. Noland. Dr. Noland himself is very nice and caring, however, I didn't see a consistent approach or justification for the many, many supplements he prescribed (and which are of course sold at his office). read more

Me and my husband are very happy that we found Dr. Noland after a long time searching for a doctor who listens and takes us seriously. He has a huge knowledge and is focused to find out the roots of illness and do not only treat the surface. With his help and support we found a natural way to health. Of course the supplements have their price and it is a gerat service that we can buy them there. The office workers changed very well because they are so exerted doing everything right. We have to drive a long way each time we have an appointment but it's worth. If you do not feel comfortable with a treatment or something else he is very open to listen and find another solution - very rare to find a doctor with this awesome behavior. I was referred to Dr. Joel Noland by a dear friend whom I admire and respect. My friend had inspiring life-changing results after working with Dr. Noland but, as I am now realizing, they were childhood friends and he most likely received special treatment. My first consultation with Dr. Noland was great. He seemed knowledgeable and confident that he could help me deal with a very serious infection and hormone imbalance. After our consultation, I was prescribed many supplements that he also sold. When I asked for clarification on how to take the supplements from him (via email and phone) I was blocked by his staff stating he was too busy and instead gave me their own advice on how to consume the supplements. After 3 weeks of treatment, I saw no indication of change, which almost everyone does. I had a hunch it was because of the way I was taking the supplements. Since Dr. Noland refuses to reply to emails or phones call that he can not invoice, I reached out to the manufactures of the supplements. It turns out I was taking them in direct contradiction to how they are supposed to be used. I immediately informed his staff and firmly requested a call with Dr. Noland. I also wrote him an email about this. What I failed to mention is the blurred vision I have been experiencing because of their error. He did not write back, but he did call me later that evening. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience to what Michelle describes in her review, he was cold, sterile, and terminated me as a patient. He refused to address the misconduct and negligence of his practice. He kept reminding me that this was a "complimentary call" as well, further proof that he is not actually interested in building his relationships with his clients or in providing authentic care. That was it. He left me in the middle of a faulty protocol, to his wrongdoing, with no resources. I felt vulnerable, exposed, and reprimanded for doing the right thing. In the end, he terminated me because he didn't want to take responsibility for his negligence. It was easier to cut me loose than work to correct the error, help someone in obvious need, and work towards becoming a caring practitioner (growth). It makes me sad that he continues to deal with people in this way, as objects and commodities. This is my first time I visit a naturopathic dr. I was highly impressed with dr Joel Noland. For the 1st consultations he was generous with his time. My daughter & I were there for 2 1/2 hrs. Professional, knowledgeable, patient and he knew how to gain my daughter's trust since she was objecting to dealing with Naturalistic drs. Dr Noland explained to us the cause of the issue & how this treatment will resolve it. The plan he has to get to successful results For the front staff, I dealt with Diana Noland and Kelly both were very helpful. I am very interested in wholistic medicine as I am allergic to both Gluten and Dairy and have not, as of the day I went in, received the blood tests I need to find out what I am additionally allergic to and how to heal my stomach lining. Main points: 1. I know of places to get their gluten cross reactor testing done for $150 less than their lab. 2. Terrible front office reception and customer service. My experience: I will be up front in saying I am a sales rep who primarily works with Dentists and in my line of work, I come across amazing practices and other times run into expensively decorated practices that lack professionalism, which was my impression of this office. I will also add, it takes a LOT for me to write a negative review. The front desk attendant earned the one star single handedly with her condescending tone and sarcastic remarks, as well did the girl to her left who laughed at them and mocked me. To begin, I went into this office looking for another Dr/Chiropractor, who wasn't in and thought I would let them know what I do, with no expectation of selling them, more out of curiosity and as an excuse to see what they are all about...they have a gluten free bakery sign out front, and as a result of my food allergies I often pop into places like this just to check them out. They quickly told me no interest in my product and I get that many times a day, so I am very used to it, and I even value a no more than a maybe as it saves me time. I have good experiences with 99% of people I come in contact with, even the ones who say no when I am trying sell them something. I pride myself in treating people with respect and courtesy and enjoy people and relationships in general. After I explained what I do I began asking questions about their practice, the tests they run, the approach to healing, etc. at first the lady began answering my questions, but then the Dr came out with a patient. He wouldn't acknowledge me, and went in the back and began sending IM's to his front office as I would find out in a minute. I began asking how I find them online so I could learn more. She thought I was trying to sell her something so I very clearly said "I am not trying to sell you anything, just interested." Her response was "No one else has a hard time finding it. Why don't you look on the business card, where it is written." Ok...so I try to swallow my pride and continue to inquire, but the girl next to her starts laughing. Then she says the Dr. Isn't interested when I haven't spoken with or in front of the Dr. Apparently he was on the other side of the wall, listening to the conversation. So I explained I wasn't trying to sell anything again, but have Gluten and Dairy food allergies. At this point, I told them, I would take my business elsewhere, which I absolutely will. With that said, I highly do not recommend the Dr. who hid behind the wall and sent his front office lady IM's instead of having the respect to shake my hand and see how he could help with my food allergies. If he was busy, I would have completely understood, but hiding behind the wall, whole the front office staff mocked me....Zero stars. I will visit another office and pay for the services I need and will not refer to this office for any future reference on my condition. I have been seeing Dr. Noland for 3 years. I have seen multiple naturopaths over the years and finally found someone who would truly partner closely with me for my health. First of all, he is incredibly knowledgeable and is always working to increase his knowledge base. He is a very quick thinker and his approach to figuring out a plan is very thorough. He hears what you say and is also very intuitive. He has the ability and desire to keep going until he figures out the next logical step to make things better. His staff is very sweet and they try hard to make sure you get what you need. Not only has my health improved, but I have learned a great deal from Dr Noland. Dr. Noland is a wonderful doctor. The one star is for the girl at the front desk with poor customer service skills who is quite inefficient. Many oversights and doesn't follow through to call back even when I've called twice already to attempt to schedule an appointment. So I make sure to ask questions about his recommendations or from any doctor for that matter. He is knowledgeable and professional. He has also been able to treat my husband with various health concerns. Actually, he was the only one that got to the root cause of some issues. My only negative has to do with promptness. My son was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and wanted to remove his colon. I refused to allow them to do this to my preteen child. I found Dr. Noland online, contacted his office and asked many many many questions. I brought my son in for a consultation, which was a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. If only medical insurance would cover non traditional healthcare life would be sooo much healthier. AnyWho, Dr. Noland had my son on medical grade vitamins and herbs, diet changes, exercise routine and stress management techniques, I am happy to say my son has been able to keep the inflammation to a minimum and still keep his beautiful colon in tact.
