I went in to meet Gad to sell some scrap gold and silver. I was surprised he operated out of this beautiful restaurant which he explained he took over in 2009 and renovated it. It's so much bigger than it used to be with a large semi circular bar and stools all around outside of that there are tables for 4 splashed throughout in a comfortable and quaint way. They also have a grand piano in a corner with live music on certain nights. What an upgrade! My experience was excellent and feel like I made a friend. The food here was really good. I shared calamari, fried green beans, and a 1/2 Caesar salad for appetizers. The green beans were my favorite but they were all good. I had an espresso martini and an Italian wine with Campari (hated it, just not my flavor profile). To eat, I had the salmon Felicia, which was salmon stuffed with crab meat, shrimp, and some sort of cream spinach sauce. It came with angel hair pasta and roasted carrots and zucchini. The salmon was okay. It was cooked well but I ended up not really liking all of the components inside so I took them out. I enjoyed the sauce it came in tho. Next time I would choose the risotto instead of the angel hair because I sampled it and it was sooooo good. I was invited by a friend to go to this restaurant for lunch. Now, I have lived in this neighborhood for over eight years and never tried it even though I shop at the nearby Publix. I am so glad she invited me because the food is amazing! I have been to this place a few times now and food quality appears to be inconsistent. The first time was good, food portions were plentiful and service was good. The second time was a disaster. Ordered eggplant which they ran out of something which delayed my meal and it was terrible when I finally got it. The server was very good and tried to resolve, but unfortunately the experience was ruined. They have music on the weekends, but the place is small and the entertainment is way too loud. Forget about holding a conversation with your table mates. They need to lower the volume. I hope this was a one off. I want this place to be good, but the GM needs to step up His game. read more

I went here to celebrate after my godson's baby dedication and the ambiance was great. I was part of a large group so the service was a little slow, but very accommodating. I ordered an Aperol spritz for my drink and it was really good. For my entree, I ordered the shrimp francese with angel hair pasta and it can topped with Parmesan cheese, which wasn't included in the menu and no one asked if I wanted my food topped with it. I sent it back and the servers and chef was more than accommodating to remake my order fresh without the cheese (did not photograph), which took almost 15-30 minutes wait and everyone finished their food by then. This is our 3rd time in since the renovation and I will have to say they have turned this operation around. The ambiance is really nice now and seems higher end compared to before. The service was really good and we never really wanted for anything. As always the food was good from the Calamari to the pasta and of course the bread with the Parmesan garlic butter. This is a sophisticatedly decorated restaurant with a tastefully beautiful and well stocked bar as the center attraction (after you manage to get by the cake chilling case that will stop you in your tracks, our hostess cheerfully and jokingly blocked our view so we would move along to choose our seats). I wouldn't recommend this place. The food was just okay, but not what I expect from good Italian cuisine. The sauce tasted like it hadn't been simmered long enough and lacked depth of flavor. The bread was actually the highlight--it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Tour of Italy. The portions were large, but the quality just wasn't there. I even had leftovers, and usually Italian food tastes even better the next day--but this didn't. I ended up throwing it away. Our server, Olivia, was great! She was very helpful with the menu & very pleasant. Olivia answered all the questions we had & found the answers to questions she wasn't sure about. Great service! The food (from my perspective) was exceptional!! I ordered the Tour of Italy... HOLY GOODNESS, IT WAS FANTASTIC!! I was leery from some of the reviews I'd read about it but my experience was 10 stars. It was authentic & delicious. Every item on my plate was amazing! It was also a very large portion. It took me 3 days to eat it & every bite was delicious! My friends ordered the Chicken Parmesan, Chicken, Fettuccine Alfredo w/ broccoli & chicken, & the Chicken Portobello. They enjoyed their meals as well. I will most definitely be back & I'll bring more friends the next time too. While the food is good, the service is lousy. They can't take to ho orders when they are busy, they don't answer the phone. The one time I walked in, I waited at the bar for 15 minutes before I was acknowledged. Too bad, we need establishments like Serafina's in our community. They should do better. read more

We revisited Serafino's after a few years absence and discovered they had expanded and renovated. The food and service was good, despite having a raucous and eclectic Friday crowd at an earlier hour of 6p, lol. They have a decent sized bar, with interesting cocktails and a good wine selection. The desert was good as well. I am happy to see the restaurant thriving and will come back again, as Italian restaurants are not plentiful in the area, but it's not in my top 5 either. read more

For quite some time I have been driving by Sera Fino's Italian Bistro and never stop by and now I know why! At first the ambiance looked quite nice, but the service was atrocious the hostess played on her cell phone while I waited to be seated. They seemed to be short staffed, and the bar tender was serving our table while pouring drinks at the same time she was too busy to refill my drink the entire time. It gets even better! I asked if the lasagna was a good choice because I know it's preprepared and could be old. She told me all the meals are fresh and recommended it. I took her at her word, and I was right the lasagna looked and tasted like it was sitting around since the Stone Age... yuck! My Caesar salad was thrown together with all the anchovies, tomatoes stuck together on the bottom of the salad that was never tossed. My guest's Arugula Salad was prepared the same way with cold chicken on top! I should have trusted my instinct and never stop by and have come to learn that sera fino could also mean a sad ending! *** I really appreciate you reaching out Gad... but there is nothing you could say or do to change my sincere review. It was AWFUL!!!! From the moment we walked in it was a terrible experience. Food was nasty. Frozen meatballs (clearly) with no flavor. A "marinara" sauce that was so watery and flavorless. Then when our bill came they had higher prices than their menu stated and added an automatic 20 percent gratuity on all parties no matter the size (according to the rude and USELESS manager). But, if I paid in cash they would give me a discount. Total rip off! When we questioned the manager she said she couldn't afford to print new menus but needed to up the prices. (Lie) and that the door said they added gratuity (lie). Restaurant was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. Filthy and poorly designed. I would leave a 0 if I could. We are regular customers. We come here once a month. We placed and order online at 5pm. We got confirmation that order was received. I went to pick up my order at 6:30 and was told that my order was canceled. I DID NOT receive an email or call letting me know that my order was cancelled. I am beyond disappointed. The renovations to the restaurant is beautiful. It elevates the dining experience from the decor to the wine selections. Everything was great from the moment we sat down until the end. The restaurant was full to capacity on this evening. There was live entertainment that made the dining experience even better. We ordered Brussel sprouts, and lasagna. All was wonderful. We even had garlic rolls that we enjoyed. I can't believe some of the bag reviews. The portions are huge. I wish they offered half order at lower prices, especially for seniors. Service: not so good. First, we had made reservations for a large group and when we got there, they did not have it. Luckily, the place was almost empty, so they could seat us. Then, after we ordered, it was at least 45 minutes before we got our entrees (remember, the place was almost empty). We did see several carts of food go out for catering. Another group left with to go cartons after waiting so long for their food. This was just poor planning for a Sunday after church.
