I really liked this place. Their food was pretty decent compared to my expectations. I met with a large group and the server was super attentive the whole time. There fries were stand out and I'd actually go back here just to have the fries again. We all ordered more for the table lol. It's kind of a rowdy local bar vibe but really friendly and felt safe and welcoming for our group of all women meeting up.

Went on a Monday mid-morning for breakfast with my mom and it was not busy, so we got seated right away. Lots of tables and booths to get waited on as well as a counter you can go up and order a coffee at. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The menu had a good variety of breakfast options. I got the veggie scramble with egg whites, house potatoes, sourdough and fruit - it was decent/got the job done, but nothing incredibly special in my opinion (classic). My mom got the loaded breakfast potato - it came with russet potatoes and eggs on top - i think it should've been more like a full baked potato, but it was still a good meal. Overall, classic breakfast option.

Serendipity cafe is a neighborhood cafe that if like me, you come here as part of the regular crowd in the early mornings, the atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, the food and service hometown comfort and style . Service in the mornings are slow to start but find their groove- it's a great place to come before the Magnolia Farmers Market opens, it has indoor and outdoor dining, great people watching opportunities. Perfect for family, friends and a drive-by snack and drink.

Great breakfast or brunch. Food is well seasoned and delicious.

Food is seasoned and delicious. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area. Eggs were spot on and the potatoes are the perfect combo. Service was fast and very nice. The café was over all welcoming and calming.

Located in an affluent satellite suburb, Magnolia 10 minutes northwest of downtown Seattle, Serendipity Cafe, advertised as a family friendly restaurant, seemed more like poorly lit bar. Maybe there are two separate dining areas? It was mid afternoon, when most restaurants can be slow but the place was empty. Decided to stop in anyway for a burger, fries & salad. Bartender was friendly; service was fine; food was good but definitely overpriced at $33 including tax/tip. Limited street parking; cute neighborhood; walkable; families hanging out but also some homeless transients roaming around the corner. Overall OK but would not recommend & would seek better value elsewhere.

The 4 stars are for the ambiance, kind wait staff, good option selection, clean spot, and the fact that it was fun to try out. The food itself is hovering around 3-3.5 stars though. What we ordered was okay, but I wasn't wowed. The seasoning was good- execution on the chicken sandwich was blah. French onion soup was decent. The sliders were more like 4.5 stars! 5 stars for the quality of fries!

Great family spot! Service is always great and the food is solid. They'll even give a party of 2 a four-top for you and your son to spread out and go through his new albums. This is the spot to take your kids to eat in Magnolia.

Serendipity is my go to casual diner in the Magnolia neighborhood. Staff is friendly, timely, and there are booths and tables throughout. There is parking on the side of the restaurant which makes it very accessible - great place for families. The smoked salmon scramble with a bagel & cream cheese is the ultimate comfort food. The house breakfast potatoes are delicious. My boyfriends loves the Benedict.

Truffle Fries off the seasonal menu

Upon walking in the place felt casual, homey and welcoming. The service was very friendly and gave great recommendations. My girlfriend and I got a lotus for the road afterwards and both were stellar. One of the few places I'd go back to try other menu items. Lounge is right next door if you're just looking for a drink or two or few

After a visit to the nearby Magnolia Boulevard Viewpoint-- with its magnificent views-- I stopped at Serendipity for a sandwich and glass of wine. It's right in the heart of Magnolia Village. The chicken salad sandwich was pretty good- and the service was fine. I sat on the cafe side-- it's a long & narrow room with the kitchen at the far end. Lots of clanging noise from the kitchen. The 6 oz pour of the house white was insanely over-priced at $11. With 20% tip, this little meal cost $35.

The lounge is a nice option since it is open later than most places in this neighborhood. The board games are a nice touch in the cafe side.

I can not recommend this restaurant at all. The food is, at it's best, mediocre. Many items are below par. Even the coffee is meh.

It was light with a subtle hoppy taste. I am not much of a beer drinker so I found this easy to drink. It had a nice crisp aftertaste. While talking to the bartender, he informed us that they distilled a couple liquors in the back. The whiskey that they had was easy to drink, sweet and went down smooth. The moon shine is only aged for a year from what I remember. They mix it in with fruit and distill it afterwards. I liked how to apple pie moon shine still retained the taste of alcohol but had a subtle taste of cinnamon and vanilla as well. They are connected to Windy City Pie which happens to be some of the cities best pizza still flying under the radar somehow. Came in around 8pm on a Thursday night and there was a decent crowd - still able to get a seat easily. They offer a great variety of their own distilled spirits as well as a fantastic selection of other local distilleries spirits made in Seattle too. Looking forward to coming back here soon.

My father ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the pastrami burger which was a cheeseburger with pastrami also on it. We also ordered onion rings and the Greek fries to share. We both had chocolate shakes. The food came out quickly, probably 10 mins or so. The shakes are hand done and mixed to order. DELICIOUS! Both of our burgers were juicy and delicious. All burgers have lettuce, onion, pickle and tomato. Several versions of burgers, sandwiches and salads available. The rings were to me perfect, well cooked and great breading. The Greek fries were also delicious, however, HEAVY GARLIC. Just be aware that your Vampire boyfriend will be repelled for hours!! I look forward to trying some of their other options the next time.
