I love this place. Everyone is always so polite and they make you feel welcome. I've gone to quite a few nail salons recently and this is definitely the best acrylic powder work I have had done in a while. Lily is wonderful! She shaped my nails perfectly. All of my nails are uniform and so smooth! I even broke one the next morning and they fixed it for me. Great place to get your nails done! Highly recommend!

i went here last night to get my eyebrows waxed before new year's eve . i used to always get my brows waxed like every month and this was my first time at this place. it didn't hurt too much when she peeled the wax off but when she was done and added some liquid it started to burn a lot. she just told me i had sensitive skin but my pain tolerance isnt even like that. i got home and my skin was burning to the max i applied aloe vera and ice and today i woke up with a horrible scar . my whole skin was basically took off.

Do not get your nails done here. They are very unprofessional, rude, and rushed my friend and I. Even the owner or manager is rude. Skip this place. I just had my nails done today and 5 hrs later they still aren't completely dry. Maybe due to old nail polish with too much acetone???

Horrible service, I have gone here many times, but this last time was horrible charged me double what I usually pay. The quality is horrible. They did my 8 year olds nails and toes in shellac and it came off the next day all of them, after paying 59 dollars. Yes they charged 59 dollars just to paint Mr 8 year old toes and nails. Make sure you ask how much it will be before getting anything done at this place. I walked out paying 169.00 and I normally pay 100.00. Horrible place I won't be going back! I would give the a o rating! I'm turning them in to the state board of cosmetology! read more

Came here to get my nails done on a Saturday morning before my moms wedding. The price was good -- $40 for ombré nails (acrylic) and an extra $5 for coffin. The nail tech took her time and was so sweet.. she did a great job from what I could tell. Later that day, I started experiencing some intense pain on my nails and it was so bad I couldn't handle it and needed ibuprofen to fall asleep. I don't know if this was due to her filing my nails down too much but they were so sore. The next day I started noticing black little bubbles on my nails. Never had that before, and when I contacted them -- they were so sweet. They had me come in that day and were so apologetic and fixed them in about 5 mins. Not sure I'll go back, but I did enjoy the experience in the shop. They are definitely great at customer service. read more

Waited over an hour the technician repainted my toes 5 times!!! Then started working on another client and back to me without changing gloves. I was not paying attention and the client brought it my attention. The owner tried to blow it off and say oh she was just polishing nails, please watch the sanitation when you come here and the customer service sucks along with the work read more

They provide excellent recommendations and customer service. Ugh, why did I start with the nails again? Hunting for a place that I love. Have been here before, but maybe they have raised their prices? $30 for a refill? She practically took all of what I originally had off, and used the machine to file three separate times before the powder! The end result? Thicker than I like and took twice as long for the procedure as my friend. I always have to re-shape when I get home because I can't seem to explain that I want a slightly rounded top, not flat across like the square shape. Place looks pretty clean, and definitely no wait at 5:30pm on a Monday. Would consider coming back for a pedi, since it is near the house, but need to find a new refill place. As a side note, my friend liked her shape, but I did not like it at all. Uneven and too pointy round. read more

I got a great refill and pedicure, BUT the owner is insane. Although they had a sign on the door that said they accept checks, they would not accept. I had left my purse at the house as I was just dropping my daughter off at chuch for bible study. The owner locked me in the store and wouldn't let me leave unless I got someone to bring cash or credit card. I called the HCSO and a sheriff had to come to get me out. Absolute insanity.... My daughters refer this to the night that I was late picking them up because I was held hostage at a nail salon. read more

After waiting for an hour with my feet in water to get a pedicure, the worker started working on my feet with the rubber gloves on and then moved over to the next person to work on her feet without changing the gloves and then tried to come back and work on my feet. Found this place today and was very pleased I did. I've gone to almost all the nail salon in the area and this was the best. I only had a pedicure today but she did an excellent job and made sure I was happy with everything even the shape. They are a huge wall of the colored powders for other services as well. Really disappointed with the manicure and pedicure I just had done. It was very hurried, not a lot of scrubbing, my polish is all over the place...just not a good job at all, but passable. My manicure is really, really bad- I can't salvage this one! About to go and get them done somewhere else and spend another 20$. It is Sunday, and from reading the other reviews it looks like Sunday is not the day to go to Serene, but the owner was there, in the chair next to me, and saw me ask my technician to touch up the job. She seemed very nice, as was my technician, and i was seated right away and offered something to drink, but the work done was far from decent. So, I'll give them 2 stars for customer service, but none for my nails. Bummer:( read more

The lady that did mine was named Daisy I think, and she made my cuticles bleed, but did a more accurate job than my sisters... The owner of the salon, her name is Rainbow, and while she was friendly and talkative, seemed to brag about her salon, and it was such a turn off to me, to be honest...she was too chatty, and her service and quality in her nail technicians did not deliver... My sister's nail tech did the sloppy multi-coat job where you can clearly see the first, second and third layer and lines near the cuticle line...instead of doing it correctly, she left visible uneven polish lines on her nails... We weren't too happy with our experience here so we probably won't be returning...call it high standard, being picky, it's hard to find decent nail salons and techs these days. They do over referral incentives on Wednesday and Thursday and have a rewards program for earning points which is nice...

They are often unfriendly and unwelcoming, rarely greet customers, and are frequently sitting behind the bar on their phones. They also do not check in to see if customers would like a drink. As a result, the nail technician has had to stop their service to prepare drinks, which does not seem appropriate or fair to them. I hope management addresses these customer service concerns soon, as it would greatly improve the overall experience.

Cuticle trimming wasn't a trim, it was ripping. She didn't close the toll hardly at all and instead ripped the skin off which hurt SO BAD. At this point, I didn't want her doing my pedicure and decided to leave. I should not be aware and knowledgeable of a nail techs' process and procedures more than them. My toe hurts, and it still bleeding. I'm rating them a two because they were still clean and in a good area, but the quality and skills of just the basic nail care is not up to par.

Popular is located in a great shopping center at an easy to get to location. Lots of parking available! When you enter, there are several attendants ready to assist with your service or you can enter your phone number in the small screen on the counter and input your requested services there. We were quickly taken to our chairs to start our pedicures and offered a menu. At Popular, cocktails are included (one of the reasons it's my friends favorite). Warning - the pink panther is strong and sweet! The technician giving my pedicure was kind and attentive to me throughout my process. I decided on both colors for my mani and pedi; I noticed for the color I chose for my pedicure that they gave me a color that was very similar but not the one I picked; it was a different number. I asked about it, but if I hadn't asked, they weren't going to tell me. For my manicure, the gentleman wasn't very friendly. He got polish under my fingers and cleaned them with a nail file once I showed him, but didn't acknowledge it. I also wasn't offered a cushion for my manicure, so spent the duration with my hands pulled to my right side on the arm rest, which made my neck hurt by the end. I didn't think anything of it until noticed everyone around me with one except me; not a big deal if I didn't hurt my neck, but it did. As part of the package we purchased, it came with an 8 minute leg massage for the pedicure and 5 minute neck massage for the manicure. The technicians asked me if I wanted the massage together or separate, which confused me. I thought they meant both at the same time. I told them together, which ended up meaning I received a 13 minute leg massage and no neck massage. I should have asked more, but felt this was misleading. I would definitely give Popular another chance, but this particular visit was not 5 stars for me.

Do not go to this salon the owner Rosie is racist. me and my sister I law had walk in for polish change and let me insure you it was are first time and right away the owner had an attitude making us feel like we was homeless or something like if we can not afford to pay $7 for polish really so we chosen are color and sat down she started to yell at us saying its gonna cost us $10 to remove shellac and yelling so loud that other customers started starring at her she said its $17 are you sure you want to do it I was like yes mam I can afford $17 and pulled out a stack of money she said that's fine and walked away so one of the employees started to remove my polish buff my nails and said go wash your hands the time I came back she started on another customer I sat there for 10 min so the manager came to do my nails instead anyways she kept giving me dirty looks so I said do you have a problem she said yes you people come her all the time and ask for price and I said is that a problem that people ask for price you are a business and I don't have family that come here you must be mistaken me for someone else she said I'm done and we will not offer you no service.so basically I look like the same race like the people that she didn't like and embarrassed me and treat me like dirt she should not own a business and treat people like they don't deserve anything just because Rosie needs anger management read more

I LOVE this nail salon. I live in Brenham now and I drive all the way here every 2-3 weeks to get my shellac and pedicure. They are always there to please the customer. I have never had a bad experience. I also will only go here to get my eyebrows waxed. I recently got eyelash extensions by Ms. Rosie, she is amazing! She gave me exactly what I asked for. Very. I have been going regularly to Serene Nails for over a year, and have received manicures, solar nails, and pedicures. The service has been exceptional, friendly, and excellent. In fact, for my Christmas gift, I got brave and had my eyebrows tattooed. The result was a wonderful, natural look. My husband and friends are pleased as well.
