He said he felt like he was hit by a truck after, but once the initial soreness wore off, he said he felt amazing; it was exactly what his body needed. Massage: Before my massage, Christina took the time to talk to me about my needs, and any injuries or pain. She made me feel really comfortable & welcomed from the start. I wanted to focus on my low back pain and TMJ. She uses just the right amount of pressure to allow my muscles to release any tension, not too hard or too soft. Being an athlete, I don't have the same mobility as I do after seeing Jasmin. I am much more flexible and much more able to stretch after her massage. She will seek out tension, pain points and knots and work through those areas accordingly. The tightness and painful areas I come in with are not always the areas she spends the most time on, but it ends up being just what I needed because those areas have the most relief afterwards. I attribute it to her knowledge of physiology. During the last session I felt deep tension released in my hips and then some nausea due to releasing stored toxins. She used amazing smelling organic medicinal oils and it took me right out of feeling sick. She's very intuitive about the work she's doing and knows when and what oils and medicinal scents to use. Her massage is very fluid. She's great at using her elbows. In fact, it's definitely the best elbow work I've ever had. She will help you relax your body through the deep work. She helps work through it with breathing and other techniques. Sometimes tricking your body with movements from her other hand while her elbow releases a trigger point somewhere else. I would not be able to relax my body without her guidance. I haven't cried on the table with her work, but if I was more tense I probably would have, so I really value the ability she has to relax the body through words and other techniques. I have plenty of knots, but the therapist did not seem to be aware of them, let alone how to work on them. My back is in significant pain after my massage, whereas beforehand it was just a bit tight. Not to mention, the massage table was covered with musty damp towels, and the level of professionalism was lacking. My overall impression was that the business owner was unprepared for my visit and had an employee who isn't actually trained in massage perform the massage. I tipped the person who performed the massage 20% because I honestly just felt bad that she clearly had tried but didn't actually know how to do a massage.
