I think they mean well there, but it was a terrible experience. I had heard good things about the service that made me want to make an appointment despite the high $- I made an appointment for myself and my friend to get manicures, key word 'appointment'. It wasn't until 35 minutes after the appointment time they started on my friends manicure and an hour and 15 minutes after appointment time that they started mine. This was after I asked several times what the status of my appointment was as time went on, they assured me someone would be over momentarily and would get my out quickly. Once we they finally started my manicure it was completely rushed, terrible quality and the worst experience I have had at a salon. What was supposed to be relaxing was a rushed waste of time and money. Across the nail bar there were a group of three girls getting manicures with only one manicurist working on them. She would do one step on one girl and move onto the next as if the three of them were an assembly line. Terrible. And so much for their advertised "complimentary sparkling wine" to enhance your experience- no one even offered me so much as water during my hour and a half wait. I'm really bummed because I was so excited when this opened that there would be a really nice place nearby for a weekly manicure/getaway but this whole experience was extremely disappointing. I've visited Serenity multiple times and have had nothing but wonderful experiences! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I typically just get a pedi and gel mani. Always impressed! My nails last for at least 2 weeks, and never had any peeling experience as I have had with other salons. I'll keep coming back! read more

Today was my second time at serenity since I figured I'd give them a second try after the first poor experience and now I know for sure I'll never be returning. The woman was very rough, she left the nail polish remover on my gel nails for about 20 minutes which burnt and made my hands red and dry. She then cut my skin (to the point where I actually bled) while filing my nails so rough and she had an overall annoyed demeanor. The manicure was pretty bad too, she painted over my cuticles. For some reason I still decided to tip her well and she literally ripped the cash out to my hand. No eye contact, no thank you, not even good bye. Very strange experience. I would not recommend as there are many better quality but cheaper places nearby. read more

Only go here if you want a horrible manicure. I have twice visited and have unfortunately had a terrible experience. I believe I had the owner's wife (heart diamond ring) and she gave me the worst manicure and polish job of my life. I decided to try it again and I hoped for someone new, or maybe she just had a bad day the first time, but I got her again and it was worse than the first. Love this place. Everyone is so nice and they treat you like you're the only customer in the salon. It's also very clean and neat, and they do not try to up-sell you on anything. It's always a relaxing and consistent experience and I wont go anywhere else read more

Disappointed. Just a mediocre nail salon for their super high prices. The massage was just ok and the service was lacking. The place is super clean but they don't sterilize their instruments and repackage them which seems to be the norm these days. Not worth the $$$. read more

There aren't many good nail places in the area, so this has become my go-to nail salon because it's clean, the staff is generally nice, and it's close to my apartment. However, I have inconsistent experiences here. I think they are still figuring out how to run the place. I have had some of the experiences that are described in the negative reviews (e.g., several different people take turns working on my nails, being seemingly-forgotten about and ignored while I wait for my manicure to start, and not being offered something to drink and/or a massage, which is supposed to be offered to everyone), but in general, my manicures from here last awhile. I hope they get everything figured out so that I can be more enthusiastic about referring people here! read more

I used to come here for years, but ever since they opened up their second location a year ago the talent has diminished. The prices are different at the two locations, the last 2 foot rubs (during pedicures) left much to be desired, and it's only been 4 days since my pedicure and my feet don't look very good. Eh. Everyone was nice here... but its not a place that I would recommend if you want your eyebrows done. I can accept high prices for services if they are good services. Serenity is a cool concept - they give you a glass of wine and they massage you during your manicures- okay great I understand paying a bit more for the service. But! I stopped in to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed without price checking (silly me). The woman who did my waxing completely rushed through and did not take her time. She didn't do a BAD job, but this is probably my lease favorite eyebrow shape I've ever had. She did them really thin and they are uneven. I was with her for maybe 3 minutes. Then when I go to pay, I find out its $10 for an upper lip wax and $12 for eyebrows (they do cut you a $2 break if you do both - $20 for the combo). So I paid $20 + tip for an "okay" experience. I was disappointed. I am used to places that do maybe a $10 eyebrow wax and $5-7 for upper lip. Upper lip takes like ... half a second to do. I actually usually do my own waxing but didn't feel like it this time around. Needless to say I will probably venture elsewhere in the future if I decide to get anything professionally done again. On a more positive note -- I got a manicure here a few months ago - Spring of 2015. I was happy with the gel manicure. It was pricier than usual but I felt like I got more for my money there. read more

I have given this nail salon 4 visits. Each time I sit and wait at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. They don't honor their appointment times. If you are looking for a quick in and out this is NOT the place. Once they even skimped on my back massage which is part of the service your paying for here. read more

This place was not the greatest. I went in for gel manicure about 3 weeks ago. I am looking for a place that is near work that I can go to during lunch breaks/immediately after I get off. The woman who did my nails put way to much gel on, which I think promoted the early peeling (my nails only lasted a few days). I should have known something was up when a recurring customer came in and said the gel on one of her nails was gone after just a couple days. They also did very little to tend to the cuticles/skin around the nail. I won't go again. read more

I'm so sad because I went here to have a girls night with some friends after work, and came away so disappointed. One friend made an appointment, so they knew five of us would be coming together, and still they were not prepared. We all sat down at the nail bar at the same time, and the four others in my party got their manicures started right away. Meanwhile, I sat there for almost 25 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge that I was waiting or that they would be right with me, which they didn't. Finally, someone finished the manicure of one of my friends and came to start helping me; she filed the nails of one hand and then walked off and I waited another five minutes for someone else to come and finish my manicure. By this time, all the people I came with were all finished with their manicures, and I was still in the middle of mine. Another woman came and chatted with the people of my party and provided them with hot stone shoulder massages as well, which looked lovely. I didn't get to experience that, as everyone was in a hurry to close up and skipped my massage, again, no acknowledgement or apology. I LOVE this place. Couldn't believe the negative reviews. The staff is always warm and inviting and remember your name...can't say that about too places these days. I always get a spa pedicure and you can't beat the leg massage and foot massage for the price anywhere else I've been. Do yourself a favor and get a pedicure here as soon as you can!!! read more

I went for a pedicure on Saturday at 5:30 pm, upon walking in the door the workers were all standing around and looked at the clock when we walked in, we were not greeted. The receptionist asked if she could help us and we asked for 2 pedicures, which she then offered the "express pedicure" and requested our payment at that time. I felt rushed to pick out a color and sit into my chair and the workers were hand gesturing from across the room to hurry up and laughing. I asked if I was welcome there and she said, "yes and pushed me into a pedicure chair to sit down." It was rushed the entire time and my service felt worthy of $10 MAX. I felt unwelcomed and unrelaxed the whole time (~15 minutes upon walking in the door and leaving). I would have rather then telling me upon walking in the door at 5:30 pm that they were done working for the day and not taking any other walk ins than the experience I had. If you are open until 6:00 pm, you should be expecting to take customers up until that point in my mind. I will not be coming back to this place as it was a very poor experience and I felt more stressed upon leaving. read more

Really confused about the so so reviews here. I went for my first time and was really thrilled with the work. The place is incredibly clean. i was taken without an appointment. The pedicure massage was longer than I have ever had at another nail place. I coughed (allergies) and my manicurist had another staff member bring me a bottle of water in seconds. They also offer you wine while you get pampered. This place is really great. In a myriad of conshohocken nail salons, I have to say this is my favorite. read more

I'm totally shocked over the bad reviews I'm reading! Been going to this salon for years (old location and now the new one). I highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Staff is very friendly and remember my name everytime I come in. I don't always make an appt but can usually be seen whenever I want. I do get offered a drink and always a wonderful massage while drying. Wish I could treat myself here more often! read more

Today was my first time here and I must say, it was one of the best pedicures I've ever had! I get pedicures quite frequently and sometimes they are so quick--I'm talking 20 minutes start to finish. My regular pedicure today was approximately 40 minutes. Suney really took her time and gave the longest and best calf and foot massage and used hot stones. Hot stones are sometimes and added expense at other nail salons. I will drive the extra 15 minutes to come here! read more
