UPDATE: I tried to go last night. Stated hours showed they were open till 8pm, even on their door. Walked in at 7:25pm with my mother. The first person we spoke with said they could get us in and then the second person told us it was too late and they couldn't take us. They weren't friendly, apologetic, or anything. Just a big fat "NOPE" even though we were there more than half an hour before closing time. ***Pro tip: if you don't want people showing up after 7pm, maybe you should change your hours.*** Previously, I gave them 4 starts, but last night knocked them down a rung.... Main benefit: If you can be here any other time than a Friday afternoon, you can pretty much walk in with no appointment and know you're going to get a nice mani/pedi. Sure, it might be a smidge expensive, but the facility is very nice and the customer service is on point. I work in the Brier Creek area and this is my go-to spot. I've only had one not-so-great gel manicure there, but it's been great other than that. Oh! There also more than happy to fix your nail situation if you mess up only one... hassle-free and money-free, they hooked me up when one of my gel polishes peeled off. So then why am I not giving it 5 stars? There's one other place in the triangle I'd prefer, but it's literally got a bar built into the salon and nobody can compete with that or their fur-lined seats. read more

I really didn't want to want to write this review, but I feel like I had to. I chose this store based on the great Yelp reviews and left *very* disappointed - I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake! To make a very long story short, I had a terrible experience. I've never had such a bad mani-pedi in my life - smeared polish, swatches that didn't match the colors in the bottles (making it extremely difficult to pick), a woman that very roughly took off my shellac polish with an emery board - leaving scabs on 8 out of 10 fingers, and a new shellac manicure that was peeling within 2 days, with color leaking from it within 3. I've never seen anything like it - the pink actually disappeared from the color, leaving the it sort of like a gross glow-in-the-dark white-green with splotchy pink on the edges. I would have come back to the salon to show them, but I was on vacation for 2 weeks following my appointment. I had to peel the polish off myself long before I ever came back. My appointment lasted over 2 hours and not because they were working hard - because the person attending to me changed 4 times and they left in the middle of my service without saying anything and had me sit there for 10-15 minutes without doing anything in between. One of the best nail salons I have been to! My sister and I braved the record breaking rain storm last night in hopes there was still enough time for two walk-in pedicures. We arrived around 6:45 (the salon is open until 7:30pm) and were both seated right away. The salon is clearly visible from the road and parking was easy since there is a dedicated lot for the shopping center. The salon is nicely decorated with neutral color decor, upgraded nail stations and calm music playing. The polish selection was standard. I am a fan of cool colors, blues and greens on my toes and there was a smaller selection available in that range. If you have a favorite shade or a specific color in mind, bring it with you. Our Serenity Pedicures were $28 each and came with a warm paraffin wax foot mask that I have not received at other nail salons. We could not be more pleased with the service. I went in for lunch on a random weekday. So random and early that there was only one other person there. "GREAT" i thought. i don't have much time so this should be quick WRONG! It took they nail man over an hour to get through my pedicure. I even told him I was tight on time and only had an hour or so to get through my mani/pedi. Which has never been a problem elsewhere. Well, when he motioned for me to get my nails done, i had to turn him down. Not sure why he was so confused so i had to explain to him and the manager who came rushing over that it took him over an hour and that i clearly told him i didn't have that kind of time. the manager then attempted to suggest "next time you tell him you low on time" really? i was in no mood to repeat myself a thousand times. i needed to leave. the manager insisted that i come back and she would give me the mani/pedi combined discount. but she charged me for a full pedicure - a pedicure that i didn't even receive! it was the upgrade that i never asked for! what?! i didn't have time - i was WAY over my lunch break at this point and i figured i'd come back later to sort it all out. when i got back to my office i looked down at my toes in horror. there was yellow polish on my skin around my toes and the guy did an even worse job exfoliating my feet. at this point i'm not only thinking that i need to have this re-done, but they've overcharged me and my head is spinning with annoyance fustration. OK - so i'll go back after work to straighten this out. I have an hour to get my manicure before i have to meet someone for dinner across the street. easy enough. WRONG. it took over an hour to get through my manicure. and i ANNOUNCED upon arrival that i had exactly one hour. so i got my polish on and partly dried and had to skip the hand massage part. as for correcting the payment issue. they didn't, and she insisted that i got an upgraded pedicure. the manicure looked considerably better than the pedicure. but that's not saying much. it should never take 2+ hours to get a standard mani/pedi done. I've been going to the salon since 2015. Even when I moved 6 hours away, I would travel back just to come here. Recently I got a fill-in with gel polish. After 2 days, the polish begin to chip. I called and returned on day 3. I just was treated so poorly and unprofessionally by the OWNER. I was made to wait hours only to be given an attitude about correcting their mistake. Even was threatened that I'd have to pay. I filed a dispute with my bank while waiting so long for the owner to service me. I will never return to this salon. I have been seeing Say for 4+ years when she was at Tips 2 Toes. I am so proud of her that she opened her own salon. She is amazing and a diamond! Her work is unmatched. She is a perfectionist and she puts art into her work, in making sure your nails are perfect, the lineup to your natural nails is perfect, almost like you don't even have fake nails at all! And best of all she listens to what you want and what you feel comfortable with. I feel grateful that I have met her because like a good doctor, or anyone you need to see regularly, she has my trust, she gets to know me, what I like, and does her best to make sure I'm comfortable and happy instead of treating me like someone she'll never see again...she's honest and will not try to upsell you. Excellent service, truly relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I got both a mani and pedi with shellac before a vacation and they were perfectly done. Better yet, they have held up to the test of time! It's been nearly 4 weeks and except for being more grown out, they still look pretty immaculate! I hate it when your nails look great when you leave and the shellac chips in the first week (and I am pretty harsh to my nails on a day to day basis). That is probably one of my main reasons why I don't go back to a place. And I have to say, I am quite impressed with their quality of service. They have TONS of colors to choose from. I came when they seemed to already have a bunch of customers, but they were super prompt and still had no waiting time. I have been here twice during my lunch break to get my nails done. The first time my colleague made a reservation for both of us to get pedicures. When we walked in, they only had a technician ready for one of us. I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to start working on me (why bother making a reservation, you ask?). The second time I went by myself around 11am and got started with no problems. By the time I left, 40 minutes later, it was just starting to get busy. So maybe the trick is to go slightly off of normal lunch hours. However, the pedicure was awesome. They have a lot of different OPI, etc colors to choose from. They also have different levels of pedicures you can choose from. The "classic" is the base price ($28) and includes a parafin wax! Both times I had a really good experience as far as the customer service and the quality of the work done. My toes look great and the polish doesn't chip right away. It's hard to find a reliable place that is clean and friendly, I recommend giving this place a try. read more

Really relaxing & very nice employees! It's not the fanciest place, but it is well worth the visit! The only part that turned me off a bit was the man doing my pedicure tried to do everything he could to get my attention by staring, even chuckling at one point, & clearing his throat while he was removing the skin from my heels. I've been getting my nails done for a long time & I've seen some THANGS when it comes to people's feet. I can safely say mine are nowhere near that, but there was a callous on each heel. He finally shook his finger at me & I looked up from my book & he pointed to his tool & said "Not good!" & made a tongue-out grossed out face. I just smiled & went back to reading. While I understand have a callous is not ideal, it's probably not something you should point out to your clients as gross haha. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! A waste of time and money. My friend and I made an appointment for SNS manicures and Pedicures. Upon arrival they made my friend wait. So the appointment was pointless. She didn't have time for her manicure because of waiting so long. Then after one week one nail came clean off. I get it fixed and the next day another nail cracks. I call for a refund. They say okay over the phone. When I arrive they say they can only give half. Then they say no they can't. This place is terrible! read more

I just left here hugely dissatisfied. I ended up with 3 bleeding fingers, they completely skipped the moisturizer and massage portion of the manicure, and my polish had dings from the beginning. I'm sure I'll be removing this polish completely in a couple days once my open areas that were bleeding heal and I can handle the sting of the remover. The staff were nice enough and the tech was very apologetic for causing my fingers to bleed, but I was definitely still charged full price. read more

She told me there was an extra charge AFTER she had already cut one short and then asked me if that was okay. Well then I didn't have a choice without her having to do the whole nail over and I'm sure there would have been a charge for that. I got chrome. She said $10 extra. Okay. When I went to go pay she said "Sorry, it's actually $15 extra for chrome" and told me to add the extra $5 she had missed in the tip line after she had already ran my card. The massage chairs, first off yay they have them, and secondly they aren't the ones that feel like breaking you in half or pinching the whole time. I brought my bridal party here a few months ago to get their nails done for my wedding. Serenity was so accommodation with making this a special celebration! I brought in my own change and orange juice. I was so surprised when I saw a small round table with glasses and flowers set up for the drinks! We all had so much fun! Our nails looked great. I got shellac polish on my fingers and regular polish on my toes. My bridal party each got something different. Everyone's nails looked great and they all lasted through the weekend and beyond. What a relaxing place! I booked pedicures for my husband and I while we were visiting the area. They did a great job removing his super calloused feet (the poor woman working on him!) I got the basic pedicure and a french manicure. I wish I knew the woman's name who worked on me, but she was on the older side but did SUCH a thorough job. Sean Is the go-to guy! I went there with my friend today. I'm not from Raleigh, so I didn't know about any nail salons in the area. After looking at the reviews online, Serenity seemed like the best option. At first I felt like I was being rushed, when asked to pick out my color.. (there were a couple of people behind us) but after I saw down, the gentleman took his time and did a fantastic job. My friend said the younger lady rushed through her nails and she wasn't too pleased with the paint job, but fourtunately the man who was doing my nails realized she was upset, and offered to fix them for her :) Ask for Sean! Second time visiting this location and the first time had a very good experience, which is why I returned. I have taken my daughter with me both times so we could have some mom & daughter pamper time. I don't know if the the technician was in a rush this time or just in a bad mood, but she did not listen to what I requested and she was rude in how she was flinging my hands away yanking them forward etc. When I was finished I had half of what I asked for done and was told no when asked about getting it done. Not to mention that the polish used on my fingernails was not the polish picked out and had chunks of stuff in it that was not in the polish picked out originally; so now I have that to look at on my fingernails which I did not want. The polish I did pick out was used on my toes so now I have mismatch polish. The technician who did my daughters nails was much friendlier and if I decide to return I will be sure I am not back in the same seat with the lady who I saw this time, especially paying over $100 for one visit +tip. This review is way overdue. I used to live in the Brier Creek area and would get my nails done here from time to time. I bought a $50 gift certificate from them for my Husband so he could get some pampering for his feet. He ended up misplacing the gift certificate. They had my purchase of the gift certificate documented although they had some sort of paper log for it. Nothing was entered into a computer. I went to them to let them know and to see what could be done and I described the young woman who helped me and how she noted it and they were no help at all. They wouldn't do anything for me and didn't look for their documentation of the gift certificate. I want my $50 dollars back. It was basically just given to them for nothing in return. If you are going to use a paper system, then have a better way to track it. It's easy to lose a receipt or gift certificate, but your customer shouldn't be SOL because of it. You should keep better record of it as part of your business. read more

DO NOT go to this salon! Horrible customer service! Called to ask how much getting my acrylic nails removed and a gel manicure would be and I was told $30. I arrive at the salon and am in the middle of soaking off my acrylics and I am told the total would be $41! The employees claim to have never told me it would be $30 and proceed to tell me I'm wrong. I then told them I only want to soak off the nails because I wouldn't have chosen their salon had I known I was being told false prices, and they told me it would be $5 to soak off my acrylics, so I said okay. I just got my nails done by the shorter male nail technician and wasn't offered any complimentary drinks like all the other customers and was made to pay in advance unlike any of the other customers.
