I'm not a spa person. I'm the type that sits on the edge of her seat furiously typing out emails while others are blissed out wandering about in robes and slippers. Oh yeah, I also don't wear robes or slippers. But my partner loves a spa day so... here we are. I found a pretty great deal on Groupon that would allow him to get a massage and me to get a facial. Booking was pretty easy - just a quick phone call. No issues with a Groupon at all. It's easy to find even though we've never been to Westgate before. We checked in and were seperated - me to the "ladies" area and the partner to the other end of the spa. I was given a tour and then handed a very very thick robe. I tried it on but it was much too heavy and HOT. I decided to pass on the whole robe and slippers thing. I'm not super intersted in walking around semi-naked anyway. I thought I would get some pushback about this but they were fine with it. OK... so far so good. You're not supposed to have your phone but I am a workaholic, so I still had it. I was mostly alone in the "relaxation" room so I don't think I was bothering anyone. My esthetician Chantelle was great. She could tell I am a bundle of nerves and not great at relaxing, so she just kept going and amazingly, mid-way through my facial, I actually relaxed. I felt my breathing slow. I was calm. It was amazing. She is a wizard. And my skin looked and felt brand new. Cannot recommend her enough. My partner enjoyed his massage and he of course had to take advantage of the hot tubs (clothing optional! but not co-ed!) and saunas. I went to pay the bill (it was his birthday BTW) and was informed that with our treatments, we got a nice discount on the well curated selection of pretty pretty candles and beauty products in the lobby. I couldn't resist - took home some treats! We ALSO got two free day passes to come back within a month to use all the amenities. This is truly a great deal. We are already scheduled to come back to use the day passes and get another treatment. This isn't super fancy like so many of the spas on the Strip, but it's lovely, clean and the treatments are really good. This is a winner. read more

Our Masseuses was amazing. She made sure I was good with the touch. She listened to me and my body and gave it what it needed. I felt so loose and relaxed after that I felt drunk. Lol. For the price I got with a Groupon and the convenience of not having to leave the property, I am ultimately very satisfied with this spa. It does not have the best amenities I've ever experienced but for the price in a Vegas spa it's fine. Stayed at this hotel so my kid can be with his team. Realized they had a spa, found a Groupon, and booked. The way they explain the charges can be a little confusing because there were some other fees on top of the Groupon. But imo the grand total was still well under what every spa around here charges. Steam room was broken. Lounge area looked like the lobby at my MD office. The bathroom area looked like an airport bathroom. Locker area could use small benches near the lockers. Wish they had leave in conditioner or heat protecting spray for my hair. Also wish they had cut fruit or more options for light snacks. Only had a bowl of apples. The staff is what really makes this place shine!!! The spa attendant was excellent and kept everything orderly and constantly restocking; also very welcoming and friendly; took care of everybody. Washcloths and sliced cucumbers: nice touch. The place smelled wonderful the whole time. Eucalyptus! The place is super clean!! My masseuse Lacey was excellent. She really listened to me and I got exactly what I wanted. Might be in my top 3 best massages ever. Her vibe was super chill; knowledgeable and experienced at her craft. Arrived 45 mins before treatment and then stayed an hour after. Did not feel rushed. Also since it's pretty small, it was nice that it never did feel super crowded at any time. 10/10 would recommend especially if you're there at Westgate as a parent of a kid in a stressful wrestling tournament. A little pricier than a stand-alone spa because it's located within the Westgate resort/hotel. With your treatment, you have access to the dry/wet saunas and hot tubs. I had a massage today at the Westgate. Serenity spa, my masseuse's name was Sofia and she was amazing and so talented. The best massage I've ever had!! She was so kind. I'm heavy chested and probably had over 60 massages my life and Sofia was the first person to ever suggest to put a towel by my stomach and hip area and it made all the difference in the world and that made me so comfortable. She asked me what my problem areas were. I told her she focused on that part of my body. Her hands are outstanding!!! I couldn't ask for a better experience. The only thing I wish I did was book at 80 minutes instead of a 50 minute massage. The facility was so nice. Clean showers, locker room, spa, lounge, area, and bathroom. I went in the dry sauna then I did the hot tubs by the time I was done it was time for my massage. Right after the massage I got a facial and it was wonderful. Chantelle did an amazing job with my facial she even did extractions which are very rare! This literally was a five star experience. I went with my mom and my mom's best friend and we all feel the same way! I truly can't wait to go back! Next time I think I will book my appointment in the afternoon. So I can use the pool first then use the amenities at the spa then do a massage then facial again. I swear everything was so perfect. I arrived in Las Vegas, and my uninvited aching back decided to tag along. Perfect excuse to squeeze in some spa time. I checked out the website for Westgate and saw they had a spa called Serenity. The name makes me feel like yelling out Serenity Now! (Frank Costanza circa 1997.) It is located on the third floor of the Westgate near the salon, fitness center, and pool. I called and made a massage appointment for the next day. If you are a hotel guest, I believe you can use the spa for a small fee. If you are not a hotel guest, you can buy a day pass or book a treatment, and the day pass comes with it. Upon arrival, I was offered water and given a tour. There are two jacuzzis, a dry sauna room, a steam room, a lounge, showers, lockers, and treatment rooms. Because I was just on time for my massage appointment, I went straight into the treatment room for my massage. Olivia was my massage therapist, and she did a great job on my back. I felt immediate relief. After my massage, I used the jacuzzi and sauna. It was not too busy on a Friday morning so I really enjoyed having the place mostly to myself. And I probably could have yelled Serenity Now without disturbing too many people, but I didn't want to get kicked out so I just let the voice in my head yell it which doesn't have the same effect but still makes me laugh. read more

Love trying new places! This time in my trip to Vegas, I decided to try another spa that was located further from the strip. I chose Serenity spa based on their services, prices and pleasant look of the interior. The spa was located in the Westgate hotel. The hotel was highly busy. Depending where your taxi would drop, there was a slight walk to the elevator that led to the spa. I would suggest to arrive earlier bc if the busyness of the hotel and confusing walk to the spa. The spa had separate rooms for women and men. The interior of the women private area was simple but clean. I wasn't impressed by amenities: 2 small jacuzzi and couple different saunas. There were cabinets with locks where you could store your belongings. I got a robe and slippers. First, I received a massage with Jennifer and I was satisfied with it. She made my back relaxed and felt much better after it. Next, I had a facial with Karissa or Kasirra ( I don't remember the name)- very young aesthetician. Unfortunately, I didn't like my experience bc the aesthetician wasn't professional and actually, burned me with the acids. Plus, she gave me extra massage of arms and back instead of making massage on my face. In addition, she asked very personal questions about my jewelry and personal life. I was disappointed with the facial. In general, the spa is nice and clean. The prices are affordable comparing to other luxurious spas. However, the quality of service is not the best. Regina is amazing. I got the custom massage and used a Groupon with it and it was totally worth it. Regina listened to where my tension areas were and she asked throughout the massage if I was ok. I had a Spafinder gift card that I wanted to use for a pedicure. I made the appointment and was told to be there 10 minutes early. They called the morning of my appointment to confirm and to remind me to be there 10 minutes early. I was shown to the lounge. 45 minutes after my appointment time I went to the desk to inquire about the additional delay. I was hesitant to book a massage here because the Westgate is a bit worn in some places and they only had one picture of the soa and it was of the nail place. Well, it's gorgeous and they just redid the whole thing so that's why there are no pics yet. Go before your massage to enjoy the NEW steam room, dry sauna and gorgeous hot tubs in a little grotto like area. The attendants were so so sweet grabbing my wet towels whereever I went. Iced towels smelling like heaven, tooth brushes and wonderful shampoos, dimmed lighting, lounge area with fireplace, iced water and fruit...I could go on and on and this was before my massage. First time I did this. Loved it. Took my girlfriend and she loved it too. This most recent time, spa tenant didn't give a tour which would have been nice since I brought my brother who had never been to a spa. My sister who also I purchased Groupon for, was not given a tour until after she had to find everything on her own. Wasn't offered wine until checking out. When checking in, the lady didn't even attempt to acknowledge me as I stood in front of her. The only reason it isn't a one star is because the massage therapist was great! This spa is not family friendly . A minor can get spa treatment and yet not allowed into the fitness center . While my wife and daughter were getting spa treatment at the time , my 17 year old son and I was not allowed to go to the fitness . Although the hotel manager had call the spa manager (Heather ), she still refused entry quoting corporate regulations and yet did not give the corporate contact upon request . "Spa manager" Heather and her side kick Maria were very rude and unprofessional . I guess Heather felt she was "all that" denying an accompanied 17 year old an opportunity to enjoy his time at the Westgate property . Some would say this spa discriminates on age . Avoid this spot ! Some of the staff here is very rude. They ran out of cucumbers and cold towels, so we asked for more and they said there was no more. An hour later, they put new ones out and a girl with short hair that worked there walked up to us and said after these towels we aren't putting out any more for you guys after this. This is not a very friendly spa. My son and I were looking to use the fitness center while the ladies went to the spa. They would not let my 17 YEAR OLD SON use the fitness center who was accompanied by me. The front desk lady, Maria, was very rude and would not let us talk to the manager until I demanded. In addition the spa manager, Heather, was also very discourteous and would not allow him to use the equipment even after we called the hotel manager (who was totally fine with him using the equipment). Admittedly, I know that this is their policy however my son is able to operate a motorized vehicle legally but can't use a simple dumbbell?? One must look at the situation at hand see that there is not much to do in Las Vegas for a 17 year old. read more

This is such a gem especially for being off the strip. I'm not a big fan of the Westgate Hotel, but the Spa was on point. It was clean, well organized and had great relaxing feel. I booked a 50-min muscle melt massage and I had the pleasure to have Gina to work on me. Gina was amazing and had great flow. A little bit of more pressure would have been better, but I did not communicate that to her. Gina had me so relaxed I fell asleep. It was a busy weekend and the locker room was a bit of a mess with water and towels on the floor at the end of my episode at the spa. The whirlpools were good and both dry and wet saunas were clean. Okay so this is going to be a very long and detailed read so get ready. I wanted to book a cabana for one day while we were staying at the Westgate. So two weeks prior to arrival I call in to book it. I was told to reserve it through the spa. Cool and done. I was told the check in time was 10am but I could come and check in as early as 9:30am and the my server wouldn't be available until 11am. Okay no big deal. So the morning of I call the spa and ask about check in. I was told to check in with the pool attendant when we arrive. We spoke with him and he directed us to go to the spa. We head on over to the spa and speak with someone there. She tells us to check in with the lifeguard. What?? Okay, she makes a phone call. Call ends and she asks my name I guess she didn't remember from when I told her the name on the reservation. She prints a paper and writes on it. She then proceeds to take us to the lifeguard. She hands us off to another woman. The lifeguard looks at the paper and then leaves it off to the side at the security station/pool entrance. She takes us to Cabana #16. HORRIBLE!!! FLITHY!!! There was very clearly sticky pink goo on the table and floor. The blue cushions were covered in crumbs, grease spots, and food. Now I know cleaning is not her job but I ask the lifeguard, "Who do I talk to about being moved to a clean cabana? Look at all these unsanitary conditions." She looks and says "Let me see what I can do?" So we ask, "Could we be moved to Cabana #2?" She leaves and comes back. "You can't have Cabana #2 its more expensive than the one you reserved you can have #10." She walked us to that one and bring us towels and a remote for the TV. She informs us that contracts are printed at 10 am and someone will be with us shortly with the contract and our server would be there at 11am when the bar and the grill opened. I received a call from my concierge, Leanna, who knew we reserved the cabana and we were going to meet with. "I just got to your cabana but its not ready. Give me a few minutes to have it made ready," she tells me. So I let her know we had checked in and were moved to a new Cabana and give her the new number. She had tried to surprise us by decorating the cabana with balloons and bringing snacks. We met her and chatted for a bit. We asked her if we could have the mini fridge stocked for us or if we had to do it ourselves. 11am came and no server. A little past 11am the bartender came with a case of water to stock the mini fridge. He also informed us that there was no server that day and that we would have to go order our food and drinks from the bar and grill directly. What the heck? He also informs us that "normally" the Cabanas are not booked on Wednesday's or Thursday's. So now I start questioning Leanna. She apologizes and says she will try to get the some answers. We attempt to enjoy the pool day but are greeted with yet another issue. Due to not having a server we were constantly having to stop what we were doing to go order sodas, slushies, etc for our teenagers because they could not go order themselves. We had to go ask for more water. It seems like we spent half the day going back and forth for food and drinks. We close out our tab and we received a discount as we are owners. We check the items and everything it is fine. Cool we have it billed to the room. We got back to our room and shower and get ready for the evening. Now we notice we were charged a $55 gratuity. What the heck. We waited on ourselves. We left cash tips throughout the day and even a $20 cash tip to the bartender when we closed the tab. Now let me say we were the ONLY people in a cabana that day. Even after being moved NO ONE ever went and cleaned and sanitized the dirty ones. Even IF you do not take reservations for certain days how are you so irresponsible as to not have the cabanas cleaned and sanitized daily! Coronavirus is real!!! Cleanliness is very important! Especially right now! Clean up better what if you get someone or worst still a child sick because of your filthy cabanas!!! This one experience ruined an otherwise great trip. I will NEVER again use this service. I'll willingly pay the $500+ at Mandalay Bay or Wynn Resorts. Save yourself the headache and don't bother wasting the money on their cabanas. Mandalay Bay had cabanas starting at $100 that I should have went with instead. read more

Decided I wanted to get my girlfriend a massage for putting up with my grumpiness all weekend as I attended a conference. She asked that we get one at the same time (not a couple's massage, but that we would be taken care of simultaneously allowing us to make the most of the time we had together when I didn't have to sit at lectures). I called and explicitly made an appointment for each of us at the same time and made sure it was repeated to confirm the choice. Unfortunately, I was taken in at the correct time but when I came out my girlfriend said that they "made a mistake" and her massage would be later. Well, my girlfriend was very upset about that and decided (and rightly so) that she didn't want to have the massage because that's not what we signed up for. The manager, Jennifer, never explained why that happened but made sure that we weren't charged for something that was out of our control. She offered us free passes for the spa for the following day to try to soften the disappointment in not getting what we ordered. Long story short, we did end up getting a massage each at the same time the following day and the manager made sure that there would be no error this time. She also offered us a 20% discount, again, to make up for whatever strange time-issue that occurred the day before (from what I've read in the Yelp reviews, though, I'm a little concerned to hear this has happened before). It's too bad all this ridiculousness occurred as the spa was very pleasant and clean and the masseuses were excellent (I would have preferred to share about the amenities of the spa -- but perhaps another review in the future). I definitely would consider going back but would definitely not bet against any "unintentional" time errors. read more

Then move on over to the jacuzzi room or take a plunge into the ice bath if you dare. Clean off in between in one of the four showers and head on over to the chill area and watch some tv or read.
