Monica's massages are masterful. They are thoroughly relaxing, and healing. Her deep knowledge of physiology is evident in every treatment. She is easily able to identify muscle and tissue that require additional attention. She is the only massage therapist who can release deep tightness and tension along my lumbar vertebrae. I was looking for a nearby spa and the location has excellent reviews and comments. I was very excited to try the spa and booked a couples massage for me and my boyfriend after a long stressful week. After a really good first experience, I was ready to become a regular client. I like the place and the prices are accessible. Unfortunately my second visit did not go well. While I was in the middle of the massage, the front person came in the room and told me that the massage therapist had another appointment and she had to change. I was very shocked and disoriented, as well as naked and vulnerable. This process was messy and I felt I didn't have a choice because they switched therapists before I could say no. This treatment was not professional and it left me distrustful of about client care. I contacted the front desk the next day. They did apologize and offered a free massage but I will not be returning to the place. The justification of this experience was that a new client came, and they needed a female massage therapist. So they couldn't miss a costumer in that moment and the price was my bad experience. I share what happened to me so nobody experiences this lack of care. read more

Wow. Looking back through some of my reviews and noticed that I've never reviewed Serenity Spa despite it being my wife and my favorite spot for years. All of my favorite massage therapist from Pleasant Hill are now working here. By that I mean that the working environment for the women is so good here that they have all moved from other stores to Serenity. Every single one which is great for my wife and I as we know that we'll always be able to get one of our 3' favorites! I've not read the other reviews (as I've know many of the therapists here for close to a decade) but I'm sure others have said how professional and clean the environment is here. The woman all wear uniforms. The rooms are clean. There are two types of massage tables- those with the hole on the table and those with the head piece on the end. During COVID, Serenity took the safety of the customers very seriously and many of the therapists are still wearing masks to this day. (They have removed the special mask that they had incorporated into the headset for COVID protection.) Always our go to spot for date night massage and my post tough workout body work. read more

Booking: Fairly easy, we booked through Vagaro. It had us prepay for the service and an emailed receipt was sent. Arrival: plaza with lots of parking, clean interior, and bathrooms were also clean. Massage: I had Amy S! She was fantastic. Broke up the knots in my back really well. The pressure was great and the stretching was a much needed plus. My mom had the lymphatic massage with Jenny Z. She thought it was great, compared to other lymphatic massages she has had this one was a little deeper than normal, but absolutely welcomed.... Overall: I will be back if we are in the area again. Amy was a true professional. The setting was warm & inviting. Started covered, then partially uncovered, laying on stomach, then rolled over onto my back. I asked for firm pressure and she obliged, and kept asking me if she was hurting me to make sure it wasn't too much. My muscles felt pretty worked over the next day, but in a good way.
