Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom for take out on a Saturday night. It was ready exactly when they said it would be, 15-20 minutes, so that was good. The pizza itself was pretty bland. This has been on my list to check out for a while now. We were in the area and walked over. It's an unassuming little spot - in an older brick building but fully updated on the inside. It's a sit down restaurant with a small-ish dining area. 10-15 tables maybe? You wait to be seated. Our server was wonderful - so kind and friendly! We got a house salad and a pepperoni/sausage pizza. The sausage was ground sausage. The salad comes with a piece of garlic bread. Everything was good, and we would come back, but it didn't stand out to us. I have been going to litzas since I was a kid - at least 50 years. It has been in the same location and it's iconic. The pizza is excellent. Has remained consistent flavor over the years. My family has been going to this pizza joint since my grandparents got married! It's a classic in our family. We love the vibes and love the family atmosphere. My fam loves the sausage pizza - it's a crumbly sausage spread all over the pizza (none of this globs of sausage). Their pepperoni pizza + salad combo is my go to. Food is always pretty great when you're in the mood for it. Nothing hits like Litzas. But, holy cow, get some better customer service and communications employees. I called and placed a to-go, the person on the phone was nice and informative. Said food would be ready in about 20 minutes--we lived about 15 minutes away, so we waited 10 minutes at home, giving about 25 minutes time, in case it was a little slow. Got there about 30 minutes after having placed the call. I mentioned the order name to the cashier who looked confused. After searching around and scrambling for a few minutes, they returned and said the order was just going in the oven -- "things just got really busy." No apology, not even an "I'm so sorry" or "would you like a beverage while you wait?" I wait for 15 minutes in the lobby and watch plenty of others get seated and receive to-go orders in a timely manner. After the lobby customers all dissipated, I went and inquired if the order was done and was told it's still in the oven. Again, no attempt at apologizing. I get that mistakes can happen. It would've been great to get a call back in advance, but I get that sometimes that's impossible. But wow, not even a single attempt to apologize or make up for their mistake? Especially after making us wait an hour for to-go food that was supposed to take 20 minutes? What a joke. It doesn't matter how busy you are, nothing should should warrant discourteous behavior -- especially after your restaurant has made a mistake and made customers wait an hour for food. Ridiculous. Just picked up the pizza over an hour after placing the order. Again, not one "sorry this took so long." No discount, no offering desert or anything. I'm done. Don't order from here!! read more

I've been coming here since it first opened. Still the BEST pizza in Utah. The crust is not too bready like some pizza places, or too crispy like others. It is the perfect texture. The sauce is tasty but not overbearing, so you can enjoy the flavor of the other toppings. I'm impressed that they still hand toss each pizza. And then there is the garlic bread. It is the best anywhere. Our favorite pizza? Ask for the number 13, pepperoni and Italian sausage. Maria is the best server. Let's start with some honesty. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it is very tasty. If you're looking for a small (and very cute) family owned pizza operation then this is your thing. If you prefer the classic American hand tossed crust with some garlic flavoring, then this is definitely your thing. I would prefer Litza's pizza over any pizza chain out there, and I don't even feel like it's more expensive. It's perfect for lunch, you can get a lunch deal for a variety of party sizes, our deal for two included two salads, garlic bread, and a two topping medium pizza. Definitely enough food, and everything tasted good. Service is super friendly. You won't have a problem with anyone there. Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Their sausage pizza is to die for. And EVERY time I go, I get the ranch dressing. You MUST get the ranch. Get a salad, the garlic bread or dip your pizza in it; either way, you will not be disappointed. It's made in house, thick and delicious. We usually get a pint to take home because it's THAT good! The service is incredible with servers who have worked there for decades. We come to this restaurant 5-6 times a year and we will continue to do so for years to come. Litzas is a great pizza place that has been around SLC for a long time. It has been a staple in my family since I was little. We'd come from Davis County at least once a year to have pizza here. Part of my love for Litzas is the nostalgia. The food is great! We had a large salad, a medium pepperoni pizza, and a full order of garlic bread. We were able to feed my family of 6. The pizza has a delicious flavor that you can't find anywhere else. The sauce has a slightly sweet taste from the fresh ingredients used. The 4 star instead of 5 was because the garlic bread was slightly burned when it came out and the service as a little slow. We came on a Saturday at 2:00 to avoid crowds (which we did) but still had to wait about 20 minutes to get our check after we were done eating. read more

Litzas is average. Not great but not horrible. With all the other pizza places in town you can find far better, like Nono's or From Scratch. I still would frequent due to The proximity to my job. My most recent visit, which was not to them but to Chipotle. I'll start by saying that the parking lot was maybe half full. Many, many spaces available. So i park and quickly run in to chipotle. 15 minutes later I'm back at my car, now with a boot on it. They booted my car for SEVENTY dollars. When you enter the parking lot, there is a tow sign, but with like loads of little words under it. I would have had to park my car, go to the sign and read the description. But it's one sign, I'm not sure i even noticed it and i genuinely thought it was ok to park and go to Chipotle. I believe the most frustrating part isn't the boot, or the $70, but that they are out there watching to see where you go. Had they asked me to move my car, i would have gladly. But instead they were predatory about it. I'm lucky that an unexpected $70 bill doesn't effect me too much. By for some, they would be unable to make a bill. Unacceptable. read more

I've been going to Litza's at least once a month for over 40 years, ever since I was a little kid. It's more expensive than your typical pizza, but it's much better quality. The staff is very friendly, and some of them have worked there for decades. The pizza is great, as are their salad dressings and garlic bread. And don't be scared away by the bad reviews. If you'll notice, nearly all of the bad reviews are from people who illegally parked in their lot and got booted, NOT because they had a bad experience with the food or service. read more

I couldn't believe how much I paid for a mini pizza with one topping and then adding a 1.00 more for each topping. I would of paid less at Mod Pizza with more toppings which are free there and a better quality pizza. Predatory business practices! Let's face it: the pizza is average, the service is adequate, and the atmosphere is decent. There are plenty of better pizza places in the area, but if you're so desperate for pizza that you can't take another step, this will suffice. But that's not why I'm writing this review. In an attempt to satisfy my desperate craving for Chipotle, I made the ill-advised decision to park in Litzas' depressingly empty parking lot. I quickly ran in to grab something to-go. Minutes later I returned to my car to find it booted. Ummm, what?? Seriously?? That's one way to make sure I never come back. I get that Litzas' is annoyed that people are using their barren parking lot to go to Chipotle, but perhaps it'd be beneficial to address the underlying problem of why people are opting for Chipotle over your pizza, and not alienate masses of potential customers. $75 to get a boot removed is more than enough to make sure I never come back, make me late returning to work, and ruin my afternoon. If you want good pizza, try Pizza Nono, Pie Hole, or Settebello. No reason to support a business that resorts to such amoral tactics. read more

This is not a good business. They will boot your car if you park in their parking lot and will charge you to take if off. They're upset that there's a new Chipotle next to them, because Chipotle customers often park in their parking lot. They're discouraging future customers from eating at their restaurant because they're jealous of Chipotle and they're being petty about it. The reason I'm saying they're jealous is because the guy who booted my car told me that, "ever since the new Chipotle opened, people have been parking in this parking lot". If you are a Chipotle customer, Chipotle actually has their own parking lot. Just drive a little on past the Litzas/Big Hires parking lot and you will see it. read more

I love Litza's. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. Is there actually a best pizza ever? No, I don't think so. There are too many options and styles and toppings. But Litza's ranks up at the top of my list as favorites for a few reasons. 1- I love the meal for one specials. I get to have exactly what I want on my pizza and the crust I want (pan style by the way because ya know, bread). 2- the Roquefort dressing is delicious! 3- they have the best Cherry Coke (thanks Hires) 4- the service is stellar!!! Litzas is totally reminiscent of that once place where you had pizza-party birthdays growing up. Lots of classic, palatable flavors with nothing unexpected. I parked here yesterday to get a burrito for my boyfriend at chipotle and a pizza from litza's for me, as they are right next to each other. We were in chipotle for 5 minutes and came back and they called a towing company. We had to pay an insane amount to get my car back--$330. this business clearly doesn't make enough money from pizza so they're in bed with a towing company and need to essentially rob people. towing services are usually $200--not above $300. They also had the opportunity to tell us the rules or warn us, but clearly wanted to take our money. read more

Ive been in Utah for 30 years and have never been here... And there is a reason why. Seems like so many rave about this place... And I dont know why. The location itself was cute and clean, staff was amazing and super nice the pizza however..horrible. Pizzas crust was really floury and the pizza had no flavor, super disappointing. Way overpriced for flavorless pizza. The salad was good and crisp but still way over priced. I wont ever be going back. read more
