They've gone hill, significantly. Fallen off the cliff, maybe. Waited over an hour for our order which when we got home we found out was wrong (got fries instead of Mac bites). They still don't take plastic. Who carries cash anymore? "We have an ATM." Cool. *eye roll* Time to move into this century. They overcharged one of the people in front of us by 4 dollars and change. Makes me wonder how many others they overcharged who didn't notice. Hard to argue after the fact when everything is cash only with no receipts. The place was run entirely by high schoolers who had no idea what they were doing. I'm all for giving kids a summer job but they need some leadership. One person with an ounce of experience. I absolutely love this place! Can't wait for them to open this year! Located right off the lake in a small little cove off the road. Nice picknicky feel without having to pack it your self! The time is not long at all to order and get everything. Seating is only outside there is a roof so if it's raining its no big deal. The food ranges from burgers,chicken,hotdogs, sausage, and plenty of fryer foods. They also make their own French Fry's. They are crispy and delicious. The portions are beyond enough. They are seasonal so I recommend going as many times as possible, its worth it! read more

Recommended by my sister in law who lives nearby. Cute place with great food. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich - chicken was very moist and tasty, coated with peppers, onions, cheese and marinara sauce. We also had their fries - huge portion and very tasty. We sat on the screened in porch attached to the store - love the décor. The owner was present and very friendly. Will definitely go back. read more

Cute place but not sure why they ask what fixings you want on your burger when they do what they want. For some reason I am addicted to the clam strips. Fries are fresh and shoe string curly; I would like them a little thicker, I am not a big fan of shoe string size. Burgers are good. The best part they serve Zweigles hot dogs white and red!! Easy and quick. I love the country store next door and the older men that talk the day away on the front porch. Sorry to say could not wait to return this year for their spectaular garbage plate only to be seriously no pun intended disappointed. It has new owners and the food went from seriously great to seriously awful. I ordered my faviorite garbage plate which shrunk to half the portion and the hot sauce lacks the flavor and spice it used to have. Thinking it was just a fluke I returned and had to ask for extra beans and home fries just to get a normal portion. Hope you guys get it together as this was always my summer favorite. read more

i'll never forget the first time i saddled up to this caboose in the middle of nowhere. i'll never forget it because i have a really excellent memory and pretty much remember everything, like on page 43 of the book "Sarah Plain and Tall" that we read in 4th grade there was this weird neon-yellowish stain that totally freaked me out and i got completely distracted from my reading and spent a lot of that evening trying to figure out what could've possibly made that stain. well, Serious Foods, is similarly stained, in full neon-tastiness, into my heart. that's right, my heart is stained, in a positive way, by this place. serving up delicious north-west NY style smashed-cheeseburgers with white american cheese, homemade hot sauce, and whatever else you want all on a fluffy white bun accompanied by bricks of fries at a time (order separately), i have never been disappointed by a stop at Serious Foods, and trust me, i've stopped here several, several times. once i drove from rochester to livonia for no other reason than serious foods. sure, i have family in the area, but they didn't need to know where i was or what i was doing because i'm my own man and i do what i want and if i want to sit by myself and ingest 3000 calories worth of freaking delicious serious burgers then that should be okay, OKAY? so if you take your food seriously, seriously go to serious foods- it's worth using up any amount of gas that's currently in your tank to get there from wherever you're reading this review from. it's only open seasonally, (as it's more of a stand with patio furniture than a restaurant) so if you're reading this review in the wintertime, sorry sucka, you'll have to go unsatiated until summer, until then i suggest you journal every night about how freaking amazing its going to be when you get your hands on one of their burgs. trust me, even with that much buildup you still won't be disappointed. read more

This joint has a ton of character. It's an old travel trailer long since parked. Everything here is greasy. No diet food what so ever. I can promise that you've never seen a single order of fries like these guys serve. I really have to limit my visits. Glad they're only open during the warm months. After waiting an hr for food. 1 it was cold 2 I did not get my drink 3 my father was given water instead of his soda( he ordered and paid for) because they ran out and that water was 1/2 full 4 we had to reorder fries because they missed one. 5 customers that showed up after us got food before us. I watched multi customers dissatisfied- missing things they paid for asking for money back. Extremely disorganized, if they can't handle a dinner rush 1st week of June they have no hope for summer. Ok, so I had to try this place. I've lived near it for years but just never got around to going there. I read all the great reviews and decided to get some takeout. I got the Italian sausage cheeseburger and the curly fries. I was really looking forward to a great meal. I'm sorry, but it was horrible. There was zero cheese on the burger, and it was so salty, all I could taste was salt. I took off the top bun and looked for the cheese, but I could't find any. The fries were just fries. Nice and thin, and lots of them, but nothing to rave about. Honestly, Arby's has better curly fries. I won't give up on this place, because of all the wonderful reviews. They deserve another chance, and I'll try something different. But my first impression was not good at all. read more
