Pork dumplings. Delicious. Careful because they are hot and the broth can squirt out.
    Stephanie S.

This was my first time at Serious Sanji. I was impressed by the overall look of the restaurant. Lots of couples and some families were eating there. It wasn't packed but it was definitely busy. We got a table right away and once we decided on food it was served quickly. I want to note that food came out as it was ready, not all at once. There wasn't a huge delay between receiving the first two dishes and then the third and fourth, and we ate family style, so it wasn't like one person was waiting for food while the rest ate. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the beef chow fun and the red coconut curry. We also ordered beef Sanji and pork dumplings. Warning, the dumpling can and do squirt the broth out, so be careful! The food had good flavor over all and I would recommend this place to others.

Drinks are EXCELLENT but the service could use some work and the food was disappointing. The drinks are a 5/5 but the service and food are a 2/5. The drinks were fantastic and I will be returning for the drinks, but not the food. -- There were no standout dim sum dishes, and all the ones I tried were decent at best. All of the dim sum dishes I had were similar quality as the frozen ones from the grocery store that you can heat up at home. -- The house fried noodles were mushy and a tad bland. -- The pork soup dumplings broth wasn't as flavorful as other places. -- The beef sanji was also bland and the bun outer layer was quite thick. The mini sanji may have a better bun vs meat ratio. -- The milk-based drinks are SO good, definitely the best I've had in the south metro. The jasmine and green tea drinks have a strong and fresh tea flavor. The mango sago was so creamy. Even though they open at 11am they said that the boba pearls take an hour to prep, so you are not able to order drinks with boba pearls until an hour after opening. -- Service was not friendly. -- The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is very clean.

This was my first time ever going to a dumpling focused restaurant, and I will definitely be back. This is a newer spot in Apple Valley that caught my attention while driving by the other day. Since I had a Tuesday afternoon off, my wife and I decided to stop in for lunch. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Once you walk in, you'll notice how clean, modern, and nice the restaurant is. The space feels very open, which I liked, but I could also see it getting pretty loud when it's busy. Not everyone loves the open concept restaurant trend, so that's just something to keep in mind (EX: if you have kids or older folks in your party and want something a bit quieter). Since neither of us had ever been to a dumpling restaurant before, the menu was a little confusing at first. Truthfully, I'm still not entirely sure I'm eating dumplings the "right" way. Fortunately, our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and took the time to explain the menu. After taking our order, he even reviewed everything on the tablet to make sure it was correct. Before we paid, he double checked everything again. Just a genuinely great waiter. The only service related issue was that my water glass eventually ran empty and never got refilled, although to be fair, I also forgot to ask when he stopped by. We started with the scallion pancakes. These were really good and something I'd absolutely order again. The dipping sauce was fantastic too. You seem to get some variation of this sauce with several menu items. It's kind of like soy sauce, but with more going on. I dunno, it's just really good. Next, we ordered the chicken soup dumplings. My wife absolutely loved these. I really enjoyed them too, just not quite as much as she did. I'd definitely order them again. I especially liked adding some of the special soy sauce and chili oil that they provide at each table. We also got the pan-fried pork dumplings. Again, these were good. I thought they benefited from the sauces, and I especially liked the texture. The chicken Sanji was maybe my favorite item of the meal, or at least tied for first. I loved the texture. The bottom half is fried while the top remains soft, kind of like the soup dumplings. Personally, I think I prefer this style over traditional dumplings, while my wife preferred the regular dumplings. If you like softer dumplings, stick with the traditional versions. If you want a little more texture and crispness, I'd strongly recommend trying the Sanji. We also ordered the Piggy Buns. Not only are they adorable, but they're surprisingly tasty as well. We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but they have like a sweet, creamy filling inside. We both enjoyed them and would likely order them again. There are still so many things on the menu that I want to try. They offer stir-fry, more appetizers, and a whole bunch of other dishes that looked interesting. We both regretted not ordering a beef dish. We forgot about it until our food had already started arriving. Now for the biggest downside...this place is pretty expensive. After tax and tip, I think our bill came to around $66. That's not exactly a cheap lunch. We ordered quite a bit of food and came hungry, but I was still surprised that we managed to eat $66 worth of food without having any leftovers to bring home. My only other complaint was cleanliness. The plate at my seat was dirty when we sat down. It wasn't a huge deal since I simply grabbed a different one next to me, but it's still something worth mentioning. The bathroom was also a bit messy. Nothing terrible, but it seemed like it could have used some attention. At the end of the day, the food was excellent, our waiter was fantastic, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. The price, dirty plate, and somewhat messy bathroom knocked it down a star for me, but this is still an easy 4 out of 5 stars.

I've come across this place so many times on Tik Tok that I had to try it! Luckily my husband is always game to try new places with me. We love dim sum and dumplings so our usual go-to had to take a seat for today. Our waiter was awesome though I didn't catch his name. He had a lot of great recommendations and was so quick with everything. The atmosphere was so vibey too, you also didn't feel like you were on top of other tables and had room for everything you ordered! I loved everything we had and even our picky eaters did, too! The cherry on top for me was getting to see the mini sanji made. I will say there are a few things I did not get a picture of but my husband did - so I will edit this post when I receive those!

We went to check out this new restaurant that opened, tried mostly their dim sum. There was some confusion on getting our table, I thought the girl had told us 10 - 15 minutes wait, but other people walked right in and got a table. Restaurant was nice and decorated. Spacious to hold small and big parties. Food came out pretty quick. You can see them making the dumplings fresh. Some of the dim sum was delicious while some was lacking flavor. Our bubble tea drink was forgotten, we had to ask the server couple times.

This spot was delicious and fresh! I have high expectations for Chinese food and dumplings but this exceeded them! You get to see them roll and make the dumplings right in front of you which shows the transparency of the place. I loved the sanji dumplings because it was filled with juice and flavor! Even the beef noodle soup had tender meat. I'm excited to go back and try more items. The area was very clean and neat. Inside decorations were beautiful so it made the ambiance nice. In addition the workers and staff were welcoming and friendly!

Gave this place a 3 star because of service. We walked in and no waiting time. Most patrons were done eating already. We sat got our menus and that's it. There were people sitting next to us that were seated already and it appears they were there a while and wanted to order but no one came over. All the waiters and waitresses were busy clearing out tables. We sat for a good 10 minutes and no one came over to give us any water or take our orders. When the table next to us ordered we told the waitress we was ready too. The food came out quick. The wonton noodle soup was good. Wished the broth was hotter. The wontons were pillowy and good texture. The noodles had a nice chew. Just wish the soup was hotter. The spicy noodle soup was good, broth was hot and the beef was braised to perfection. The crab meat &pork dumpling was good abut the pork soup dumpling tasted better and had more soup in them. My favorite was the pork Sanji. Bottom was crispy and the top was soft and the meat was juicy. They have dim sum and other Chinese food items there. Will go back in a couple of months, give them time to settle in and get working like a well oiled machine. This place has a modern clean look inside.

My…read morefirst visit didn't totally win me over, but this time the coffee was noticeably better and the overall experience felt more worth it. The space still has a slightly weird food hall vibe (not super cozy coffee shop energy), but the drinks are hand crafted. They use local beans, have handmade syrups, and offer a fun variety of specialty drinks that feel thoughtful and well made. One of my favorite details: the plants throughout the shop have names and many are for sale, which is such a fun, quirky touch and makes the space feel more intentional and unique. Overall, I'm glad I gave it another shot, much better experience the second time and definitely a cool local spot with personality.

I was not sure I was even in the right place at first. Straight ahead as you enter is the coffee shop part of this place, and there is a touchscreen ordering panel but also a cashier. However, we came at 11am on a Saturday and wanted some of the brunch options. We were directed to a table in another part of the facility, given the full Curiouser menu, and abandoned for 30 minutes. No one talked to us again so we left and got brunch at another nearby establishment. I still hadn't had any coffee later that afternoon so I stopped by to try an easier scenario, and I had an excellent iced drink called Absolutely Alice. Perfect sweetness level for me; I like it sweet while still being able to get coffee flavor out of it. So I would definitely return for a coffee. The corners of the building that are meant to be associated with the coffee shop part of the business are nice; lots of plants and homey touches. But even though we did see servers taking orders at other tables, I don't think they have that down. I'd recommend coming here just for small orders at the counter.

The problem is that there are no pictures... so you're not 100% sure what you are ordering. I stopped the order and walked over to the case to order with the employee instead. There was one woman in front of me and she got her items quickly. I ordered 5 items. (See pic below) All of them were fantastic! I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. If you plan on going(the food was very good) order it to go...

I had my eye on the cinnamon coffee cake, so I ordered it. He was about to enter it in the payment system when he noticed that the woman before me had her payment declined. So, I stepped away as the other woman behind the counter got the female customer to swipe her card again. Everything eventually was sorted out. It allowed me to look at all the syrup bottles available for purchase. I was excited to see sugar-free raspberry syrup. You can also get growlettes. They looked so nice. I then went to pay for my item. I used a credit card. It was straightforward and nothing was declined. Yay! I got my cinnamon coffee cake. I thanked the man and left.
