My son saved for his dream car.... dodge challenger. We called and spoke with the owner.... drove…read moreall the way there. He was not honest about the cars issues. Promised us there were no issues!! What a LIE!!! The car had been a money pit and needed so much work. Paid $6700.00 AND have dumped $4000.00 more already. Just so our son can drive in a safe car. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

He's a liar. Period. Flew all the way to Birmingham from North Carolina, was promised a certain car…read morewas ready for me, got to Goldstar right at 9am when they opened, then was told "the car was in the shop, it will be here in an hour". After 30 minutes passed he showed the biggest theatrics saying that the car caught on fire on the way from the shop. I can only assume that the car was never ready. I believe that he was trying to do a bait and switch in attempts to have me buy a different vehicle. He blatantly lied to me and my family about the car being ready knowing that I was spending a lot of money to travel to pick it up. The one fact that I know is he's untrustworthy. He was dressed head to toe in gotti designer clothes, and everything that came out of his mouth seemed to come from ego. All the cars on the lot looked great from afar, but when I looked inside them they were all beat up, like he didn't even try to make them look presentable. Instead of driving home today in a new car, I'm spending an extra $1k to get home.

I am so very disappointed with my experience with this dealership and their service department…read more They lied to me twice and best I can tell, they are in the business of fleecing their customers. First was that they would get my car diagnosed in 3 days if I could tow it to them - 3 weeks later they are able to finally look at it. Second I was told they would diagnose the vehicle for $180 but call me and tell me it is going to cost me $1200 for them to do the diagnosis needed to tell me what the problem is. I would strongly suggest you go a different direction or go in eyes wide open and expect the worst.

Roman stepped up, which he did not even have to, and set off a chain of events that led to 100% satisfaction. I then came in contact with Brandon who went above and beyond. After this experience I would not question buying a vehicle from here again or trusting them to ensure thier customers are satisfied. Reliable business, which is hard to find these days. Thank you gentlemen, excellent work! A+++

Poor Communication and Unauthorized Charges…read more I scheduled a $147.56 Premium Maintenance Package and an oil leak inspection online for my son's 2023 Hyundai Elantra. The $147.56 service was for the 45,000-mile maintenance, which was the option presented during scheduling and the service I selected. Since I was attending a funeral, my 20-year-old son dropped off the vehicle. When I spoke with Nathan Jones, I was told there was no oil leak and the only issue was the tires. I approved the tire purchase and alignment based on the pricing discussed, believing I was only responsible for those charges plus the $147.56 maintenance service I had scheduled. On Sunday, July 26, I discovered a charge of $1,541.99 on my account. Today, when I spoke with Nathan and Ty Maxen (Manager), I was informed that the additional charges were for a 60,000-mile maintenance service. I was told my son signed for the service at drop-off. My son believed he was signing paperwork related to a standard oil change and the appointment that had already been scheduled. The appointment was made in my name, with my phone number, and I was the person responsible for payment. At no point was the 60,000-mile maintenance discussed, quoted, or approved by me, despite the dealership contacting me to authorize the tires. If a customer selects a specific maintenance package through the dealership's website and schedules an appointment for that service, any additional services and associated charges should be communicated to and authorized by the responsible party. In this case, that person was me. The dealership had my contact information, used it to discuss and obtain approval for the tires, but never contacted me regarding the significantly more expensive 60,000-mile service. I am currently waiting on Ty Maxen to investigate the matter and call me back. Thus far, the dealership's position has been that my son signed for the additional services. This experience left me feeling fleeced and taken advantage of. Better communication, transparency, and customer authorization procedures are needed before costly services are performed and charged. I hope Serra Hyundai reviews this situation and implements a process to ensure the person scheduling and paying for service is informed of and approves any additional work before it is completed.
