The worst part is that I call the service advisor and the main number, and no one answers, and then on a rare occasion when someone does answer, they tell me I'll get a call back with the results first thing in the morning or in 2 hours, but then I never hear back. I was having trouble with my 2013 Ford Focus Titanium and wrote all about it in my previous review. That was a rough chapter in this story, but it was necessary. I took the issues up the ladder to their GM and he was easily the kindest, most approachable manager I've ever encountered. He listened to my numerous complaints and told me he would do everything he possibly could to make it right and he would see this process to the end. I was highly impressed by his customer service skills and again, nicest guy you could ever meet. I can honestly say he went above and beyond in order to make this situation right and I am grateful for that. Melissa in internet sales gave me the lowdown on my fancy new 2014 Focus ST and she was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny too! We had a good chat about the features of the vehicle and she synced up all my gadgets while I was signing on the dotted lines. It's been almost 2 years since I drove a manual transmission so when I almost ALMOST stalled it, she told me how many times dudes kill the new Mustang GT's. I laughed and felt better about being rusty with the manual trans. Overall, this has been a very humbling experience. Those of you who follow me know that I am brutally honest, always. Often times I am highly critical of people, places and things when I don't agree with how something was handled and this was no different. I can sit here now, watching the experience in the rear view mirror and say that it all happened exactly as it was supposed to happen and I'm glad it did. read more

Got a brand new Ford Explorer yesterday and I am loving it. The car is great but my experience at Serramonte Ford was even better. Leo sold me the car and he was great. Showed me different models, he was very knowledgeable and helped me pick the perfect model at the end. After everything was settled Jeff in finance department took over. He broke everything down for me in details and helped me make a decisions re warranty and gap insurance. He was honest and didn't try to sell me what I didn't need. These people's sale practices are trash. Buyers be warned!!!!!!!!!!!! My vehicle broke down on me Monday and I thought it was the transmission. Like an idiot I stopped by to see if I could find a cheap commuter car since i thought my car was going to need an expensive repair. The sales guy was okay, he was just doing his job... HOWEVER, he got his supervisor or manager to speak with me. Again like an idiot I had told the sales guy my situation. This information was relayed to the supervisor and HE USED THIS as a FEAR TACTIC to attempt to pressure OR COERSE me into purchasing a used piece of junk right then and there. He even went as far as offering me $2000 trade in value for my vehicle (2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee all black edition I got off the showroom floor $45k) and kept telling me "well if you're telling us the transmission is messed up, why do you want to deal with that headache we'll take it off your hands". These are cheap dishonest sales practices, you people should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Turns out, it wasn't the transmission, it was the spark plug coils and a tune up. I payed less for the repair than these people were attempting to give me as a trade in value. They could have made a very profitable sale if they would have only suckered me to give them my Jeep. Jared is the worst service advisor. He charged me $270 for an oil change when I was informed by ford that my warranty isn't expired. He was extremely rude and dismissive. I will never be taking my car back to serramonte ford. I believe I was treated this way because I'm a woman. I filed a complaint with the company and informed them of the situation. I contacted Seramonte Ford to purchase a new f250 service body in 2021.FYI IM A WOMAN... I went back and forth with salesman on the phone , we reached an agreement and I went in to pick it up. I needed a new work truck right away. The salesman gave me the out the door price or so he said. When I got there they rushed me into the finance office where the slime ball flipped the screen around for 2 seconds so I could see the price. Thats what I get for not demanding to go over it more clearly.At the tone I thought he would produce a contract that i could see, like i have always done.It wasn't a normal paper contract it was this tiny little screen where you initial in a box and cannot see anything else. When all was said and done the price was way over what the salesman had agreed on and the finance guy after I signed everything just walked to the front with all his other male co-workers ( not one women there, ) and acted like I didn't just spend 50k.I had already signed the contract. I saw the salesman and asked him about the price...his response was , " you can right it off on your business" . It's my fault for trusting what he said. I also should have demanded they treat up the contract and walk away but it was like the classic shame thing and so intimidating I just wanted to get out of there. Be very careful with these people. They're snakes. Oh and in the daylight the next day I noticed rust all over my service body. Just so you know it was brand new. 12 miles.I called and took it in. The awesome service manager didn't even look at it, was rude to me like he couldn't be bothered and told me that they would have to DRIVE it to Fresno to have it painted and it would take 3 weeks. They knew it had rust on it. He told me. " they all do" like it was okay. I asked him to take it there and a trailer he said nope. They drive them. And then took a phone call while I was still standing at the counter. When he finally finished he said. Send me pics.. I will deal with this under warranty and I will never deal with them ever again. I recently ordered a new Ford Bronco from another bay area dealership with the fleet manager. He was awesome. I don't know about you but to me 50+ k is a lot of money. I have bought dozens of cars in my life and never have been treated like this ever. Seramonte doesn't respect women. They acted like I was stupid and you know what, I was for buying from these pigs. In 2013 I bought a Ford Edge sport from a ford dealership on the east coast. I love the car and at the time I loved the extended service warranty offered with ford vehicles. It was what ultimately made us decide to purchase the car. I'm a native SF Bay Area resident and knew that Serramonte ford would be the dealership I frequented most for our service package over the following years. To date I've had 3 regular services with Serramonte ford. All of them had major issues including being overcharged for work, faulty work and poor customer service. Apparently, after a regular oil change and transmission check they couldn't even turn the "check engine" light off because "another person does that." They wanted to charge me more just for this other person to turn the light off (I mean WTF?!). Then icing on the cake, I go to pick up my car after a routine oil change on 11/30/17 and there was a huge dent on my front end from one of the service employees crashing my car. After repeated attempts to a get a hold of Henry, the service dept manager, I still have no resolution. I've driven to the location to speak with Henry and call every other day to speak with Henry. Yet, he's always out, on vacation, sick, etc. This is a nightmare. If I had known I wouldn't even be able to trust this service dept, I would have re-thought my decision to buy this car (with no other dealership close by). I absolutely (f*cking) hate this place and caution anyone who is thinking about using their service department. read more

We were rather surprised and disappointed with the lack of interest and openness on part of the sales representative and manager. Although we saw a vehicle we liked, the rep didn't show us liked models until we walked around the lot ourselves. The rep was clearly disinterested in helping us. The manager was equally as so. Damaged my car by chipping the paint on the side, did not complete the work I brought the car in for, made me trek out to them 3 times on subway, busses, and Uber because their staff missed the training on credit processing. Manager made me come all the way out there to inspect issues and damage to tell me he would call me in a few days but of course never heard from them again. Basically a big middle finger to my face. I took my car to Serramonte Ford because I got a extended warranty notice from Ford company that somethings wrong with my car which it is. It's happened three times it stalls out going up a hill so I brought it in with a piece of paper that Ford sent me and they kept it and I went to pick it up today. They told me nothing was wrong with it. I said you have to go up the hill for it to stall out and they said well it didn't stall out I said OK give me the car back and they said that'll be $249. I said I told you if it cost anything to call me first before you do anything and you didn't call me and tell me that and now you're charging $249, I feel like I've been ripped off may because I'm a woman the service manager was very rude. My son called in early July 2018 to have his transmission checked. It had slipped one night on a steep hill in SF. The earliest appointment available at the time was 7/27 so he took it. He made sure not to go to SF in the 3 weeks before the appointment. He brought his car in on that Friday and was told they would not be able to look at it until Monday....but they took the car anyway. What good is an appointment if you're not going to look at it that day? Monday comes around and no call. They finally look at the car Tuesday and need to order a part to be delivered and installed Wednesday. Really? You had the car just sitting there for 5 days before you even look at it? It's not like we have a spare car sitting around to use! So in the meantime, my son had to Uber to work and anywhere else he wanted to go. Ridiculous! read more

The entire process was professionally handled and felt like their reps wanted to help me find the right car within my budget. TL; DR Sales is pretty good, parts is meh, service is bad. They couldn't see an exhaust fallen and sitting on a frame under the car during inspections. A person clueless on cars could have seen the issue when it was in the air, it was that obvious... (Disclaimer this was during last year, forgot to publish, though still fuming a bit) Sales department people seem pretty nice when I was car shopping a few years ago. Parts department is slow, but they do their job. Service review: I dropped my vehicle off for an oil change, inspection, and rotation (and that was it). Assumed everything was right and went home. Looked at the bill and they added on random oil and fuel additives, not in the manual nor mentioned anywhere in the service I had. Not to mention the additives were marked up stupidly expensive, even more than what a gas station would charge. Annoyed, but I blame myself for not reviewing the receipt. Will make it clear going forward I'm not interested. Why the one star? I had been experiencing a rattle for a couple weeks before the service. Wasn't a serious rattle, and figured their highly touted multipoint inspection would catch if it was a problem. Well, got the above service and car came back without any issues noted. So I wasn't worried. Fast forward a couple weeks. I had a free day and decided to go rattle hunting. As it turns out, the noise was easily found and serious. The exhaust was on the frame of the car. The mounts failed and let the exhaust drop. How the heck did their professional mechanics miss that? How can I trust them with anything? There is no way to explain their way out of this. It's a serious and obvious miss that could have cost me thousand(s) if it wasn't caught in time. And it was the cause of the rattle, so no more rattle :). read more

I just had the best, most painless car buying experience of my life. I'm now on my 3rd lease with Serramonte Ford, but this time I worked with Seth Banko and Rodell Balbin. I started talking to Seth a few months ago about my lease ending, starting with a call to chat about what I was looking for. I felt like he had a great understanding of what my family needed and was never pushy. We set up some time for my husband and I to test drive cars, and Rodell worked with us at the dealership. After talking more about our needs (we have a toddler and need to balance safety/space with long commutes), he ended up pointing us towards a Fusion Hybrid, which I hadn't been considering. I felt like I needed time to decide between another Escape (which I loved) and a Hybrid Fusion, so we didn't buy anything the day we did test drives and went home to talk it over. I never felt pressured by Rodell or Seth to make a purchase that day, and they answered all my questions (in person and via email) very quickly. I was also dealing with an endless cold, power outages (yay, California!) and general toddler shenanigans while I was shopping for a new car, and must have canceled last minute and rescheduled on Seth at least 10 times. He was always patient, understanding, and never once pushed me to come in or make a decision before I was comfortable. On the day I came in to end my lease and pick out my new car, Seth already had a clear idea of what I wanted and he and Rodell had the car I was eyeing (2020 Fusion Hybrid) ready and waiting for a test drive when I got there. The car was perfect, we negotiated a bit on numbers until I was happy, and I was in and out the door with my lease terminated and new car (washed, sparkling, signed and sealed) in exactly two hours. They don't honor the oil change coupons posted on Ford's website (even though the page specifically says they do). In late March, went there with a coupon for a discounted oil change that literally has this place's address written on it (see photo). The workers said they don't accept this coupon at this location. The next day, tried to phone someone who could help several times. Both Mariana Dawoud and the service manager (whose name I don't remember) ignored my multiple voicemails. In my experience with this company it is to be avoided at all costs if u value a families safety. The prime component of having a vehicle rolling is the ability to stop it .I was sold a vehicle that was said to be in working order until after 3 months the brakes failed to a point of no warning. I called the dealership to express my dissatisfaction at the matter and was met with a hostile engagement. It was a second hand truck , I have no illusion to what was to be expected or anticipated but the extent of the problem and to call what was considered an inspection was subpar and put my family at risk . A purchase of this magnitude is far over looked from the significance it is to you aside from your signature to them .I would travel to any ford dealer if that is your go to brand for that new car or truck you will possibly name as a staple and reliable tool in your progression.
