We were in a unforeseen need for a vehicle in the midst of the beginning of Hurricane LaLa. We ventured the storm and went to the dealership. Worried that there wasn't going to be anything within our budget. As we were dropped off the clouds unzipped and it was raining. Not conducive for browsing a lot. Imagine our surprise when a car that was within our budget and so much more beautiful than we ever expected was sitting right at the doors of the store. We met with Wilson who invited us in, shared such Aloha and ensured we were comfortable while we awaited to talk to a sales agent. He was actually speaking to another person who was looking at the car we liked. That man decided to wait and his processing was our blessing. Daniel Paiva was the best sales agent I have ever encountered. All my purchases have been on the mainland and we were excited to purchase here on Maui. I informed my husband that it's such a game when it comes to purchasing yet here it was all upfront and no pressure to give a bigger down payment and no pressure with the purchase that we had chosen. The finance approval process was harmless and fast. We were approved quickly. We would've driven off the lot had our insurance agent could have been contacted but they did about an hour after Servco closing. My insurance agent emailed the insurance binder and Monday morning the car was ours. Fair and manageable payments with a loan we can live with and probably pay off sooner. Daniel helped set up our phones and offered further assistance down the road. When we are ready to purchase our second car we know where to go and strongly recommend. Let's start with to get any repairs done it takes months, you can't get a loner, once they diagnose what the problem is after 3 times it take at least another two weeks minimum to get the part in and serviced if you are lucky. This is terrible and don't buy from them. read more

Felt like an inconvenience, like the other reviews stated. Walked in, had a loan approved with the car I wanted mind, saw on Facebook Marketplace. Did all the work ahead of time. License plate on the vehicle had a Servco Lexus plate, the listing is from Servco Lexus, the vehicle is in the Servco Lexus parking lot, hence why I got a loan from Chase to Servco Lexus. Daniel pawned me off to the 'manager' said it was actually Servco Subaru, and that I would need to get my loan redone to state this. Sent them a message, the following day after driving by and the vehicle was there, now 2 hours later they respond it's 'sold'. The whole thing feels shady, like it was a bait car. I bought my first Subaru from Larry Rosen and then I think I bought two from salesperson Melan. My fourth Subaru was with Daniel. All of those were good experiences. I have to say, though that these cars are not what they were. My Cross Trek is a real disappointment. You cannot reach under the front seat at all. If you drop something, you will have to pull over and reach under the front seat from the back. There are lots of little rattles. Key fob has never worked like in Forester. Apparently the key fob can be problematic. Don't expect it to help you find your car if you are even two rows away in the Costco parking lot. Also, if you have it in your purse and your purse is in the backseat don't expect it to start your car every time very erratic Lots of little inconveniences with this car. I took my car in on June because the tailgate door wasn't working. Paid $900+ for that service. They even told me they replaced the battery for free. Couple months later I have to buy a new battery. On December, it broke again (same problem). However, they told me it was a different problem and need to replace another part. Paid $400+ for that service. I was told it's fixed so I went to pick it up and lo and behold it's not working. I had to leave my car for 3more days because they have to wait for the parts. Paid another $500+. The next day the gas tank door cannot open. I had no problem prior to bringing it in. I wonder how much they'll charge me for that. Paid $2k for just less than a year. Wow.. The worst part it happened on my birthday and my son's birthday week. Merry Christmas Subaru! I hope you guys starts doing the job correctly cause I deserve a better service since I paid for what you asked for. read more

Your head is throbbing as you contemplate the string of poor decisions that lead you to this juncture in life. As you sit down to go over what exactly this service will entail you are offered a muffin and coconut water. This beacon of hope is the Servco difference. Cindy is a consummate professional. Plus, if you have questionable insurance getting your car serviced through Servco provides roadside benefits, not that your Subaru ever will. Well... until the ringlands eventually go bad. I bought a brand new Forester Premium model in cash, paid in full. Found a minor problem with the back cargo cover. The mechanism inside the plastic case was causing the cover to get chewed up with every pull out and retract in. Like I say ... minor F**king prob. But I just purchased a brand new $28000+ automobile in full. That should be an automatic fix. No question asked. It was s 50$ part at most. We discovered 2 days later. Not like months after I purchased and abused the part or something. Homeboy DAYNE got my money -- and he was gone. Zero customer service skill. Did NOT want to help me even the slightest. It was so apparent he got what he wanted and I was no longer exsistent. Wow, Great people skills brah!! You know we are all stuck on this island together fooL?! You'd think that may make you want to be impeccable with your words and work ethic. The best was him harassing me when I tried to come back to get it fixed (since he forgot how to be a decent human being and return multiple phone calls) saying I MUST give him a 5 star rating. I swear he talked about it close to 5 times over 2 separate occassions. But 5 stars For what?! For me buying the car I already wanted? For you doing minimal work and me being an easy sale? Or maybe it was for when an actual problem arose and he couldn't -- didn't even try to -- handle it. Too Cruz of a job for you? Getting Too comfortable at what you do? Sincere lack of care! When he learned my momz decided to do the survey they send out, and filled it how she found satisfactory... Lolo Dayne was reminiscent of a 5 year old adolescent who did not get his way. He wouldn't return calls, straight up childish "I'm mad at you" elementary ignore games. Many messages were left for him. He is pretty pretentious and left a super sour taste to all involved. Surprised that such an amazing car company would allow such a slacker to be their face. Manager in charge is no winner either. He was not interested in selling us a car to start. I felt like we were bothering him, to buy a car [IN CASH]. No messing with credit checks or 3rd party bank institutions here. The phone calls on his part were never returned. I got many promises that he'd call back tmrw, next week, on Friday.... nothing... ever. Found this whole experience to be pretty comical. I tell everybody I come across how horrendous this experience of spending my families hard earned money to purchase a car from such self absorbed, ungrateful Aholes will never happen again. Dayne needs a new job where he maybe learns to VALUE (his old job at Subaru) and APPRECIATE customers who are helping put food in his stomach and gasoline in his ride. My guess is his paychecks probably don't need to go to rent. Braddah needs to go thru some hardships in life to make him value his job, paychecks, and customers. Spoiled brat syndrome in the 40s? Didn't know those people still existed. I come from the customer service industry, decade-plus deep. Oh Boi does not possess this quality. There are always 2 sides to every story= yes.... These guys go out of their way to avoid doing any work. Their phone number is not listed on the Servco website (it's 808 877 6578). I've now had two experiences with them: 1) My Forester had wire damage due to rats. They said it couldn't be fixed so they wanted $1200 for a whole new wire harness which had to be shipped from mainland (6 weeks). I found a local who fixed the wire for $100. 2) Key FOB failed (not battery). They took the FOB circuit board and said they would call me when the replacement arrived. That was four weeks ago. They don't call, and they don't answer the phone. read more

In the fall of last year I purchased a used 2016 Kia Sorento from Servco. I took it to a mechanics shop for them to run the diagnostics on it as a used vehicle. The report was that it was in excellent condition but needed new brakes. Servco agreed to this work before i purchased it. When the work was completed, I noticed on the work order that they had just worked on the front brakes and when I pointed this out, they agreed to completing the work which they should have. However 3 months later, the car started to vibrate when i applied the brakes so i took it in again. The report was that the dealer had just worked on the brake pads but hadn't done any work to the rotors. $400 later, the car is running well. My recommendation to anyone purchasing a used car from anyone, that you take the time to make sure that the work that was promised before purchasing is actually completed. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the vehicle. read more

Servco in Kahului is a real puzzle to me. My wife and I purchased a Forrester there in 2016, and the transaction went very smoothly. When that car was totaled in an accident this September, we wanted to get another Forrester to replace it. The salesperson who helped us in 2016 (Larry Rosen) has left the company, so when we contacted the dealership this time, Dayne Kobayashi was the salesperson who responded. After he learned that we were interested in a basic model 2018 Forrester, rather than a more expensive model, he went radio silent on us. He ignored multiple emails, phone calls, and even a plea to the sales manager via their website. This went on for three weeks, so in frustration we walked into Island Honda and bought a 2018 CRV in about an hour. The Honda, by the way, has been a super purchase, so I guess something good has come of our experience with Servco. read more

This the worst Subaru service dept. I've ever encountered. They never answer the phone all day - trying not to add anymore jobs on their supposedly long list of cars that needs service. Contacted Servco Subaru repair today and spoke with Service Manager Kirt about the airbag recall on our 2009 Outback. They got me right in today even without an appointment. Cindy at the front counter was fantastic. She texted me pics of the batteries i needed to get my key fobs working and told me where to grab them. Should be a minus star. I took my car in to have it serviced with an ice cold air conditioner, and drove out with hot air and a horrible smell. Turned around to ask them if they left something unhooked during service, and was told I had to bring it back later so they could look at it. They made me wait for 4 hours at the appt they made, and brought me a quote for over $2000. Of course they said it was nothing to do with anything they did. I drove away and stopped by a friends... he replaced a $30 part and filled it with freon. 6 months have passed and it's still ice cold! They also replaced my brakes twice in first 50,000 miles, and I had to replace them again today at 67,000 miles. 3 SETS OF BRAKES. They told me that they used a premium version the second time but when we pulled them off today they were the same cheap version they used the first time. Crooks. read more

If there is anyone out there having a problem with the leather steering wheel peeling? I only have 17k miles on my car and am told the steering wheel is not covered under the 3 year warranty. The customer service starting from the initial phone call was awful. Although, the calls sometimes go to oahu so you are not even speaking to someone on site. I still think on a new car, no matter what, the dealership should honor a replacement of the steering wheel at no cost, regardless of what corporate says about the warranty especially under 20k miles. After speaking to the manager, Cindy, they are trying to meet me half way. They have agreed to pay half the cost of a new steering wheel at $580. So I will be paying my share of total out of pocket at $290. $290! I'm surprised that they want my $290 after purchasing a $30,000 car and a $750 warranty on dings and going there and paying for my oil changes. $290 is peanuts for the dealership. They charge almost that for my oil changes. Lol. Joking. ALL I KNOW IS ITS HALF MY PAYCHECK! But it IS better than my whole paycheck, which is what they originally were charging me. read more

I regret both buying a car from this dealer and returning for service. While the salesperson was a pleasure to work with (she is no longer there), everything else I have had to deal with has been a huge challenge. Not to mention that I have never had another brand new car that needed to come into the service department so frequently. I don't know if it's because it's Maui and they feel they don't need to value customer service because there aren't other Subaru dealers to choose from, but a little helpfulness or effort would have gone a long way toward keeping my business. Anna is correct. I purchased a new Outback in July 2014. I immediately had a tire losing air. According to the manual I needed to get service immediately. When I went to the service department I was told the next available appointment was 12 weeks out. For a tire???I had no choice but to wait. In the meantime I was filling my tire every 2-3 days. A complete inconvenience. When I finally got in I was charged for the tire repair on a brand new tire. I had it checked at another tire dealer in the interim and it wasn't a puncture. They felt it was a seal problem. Not something I should have been charged for. When it was time for my first oil change the same issue again. Had to wait 8 weeks for a service appointment. If I had known that there is virtually no service available for Subaru I would have stuck with Honda. Never had any issue getting taken care of there. There's more to being a dealer than just selling cars. If they can't get their service act together they should stop selling cars until they do. Waiting more that a few days for service in not acceptable. 12 weeks is just ridiculous. I just called today, 6 weeks in advance of my need for service and someone took my name and number and I was supposed to get a call back to schedule an appointment. No call. No surprise. Ok. Time for an update. They got back to me 3days later to schedule a service appointment. I was off work the day 5 days later that was available so I told them I would wait for it. They graciously accommodated my schedule and my car was serviced and washed and vacuumed in less than 45 minutes. I was amazed. They really are improving and are very friendly and helpful in the process. It's a work in progress so give them another chance. This was a huge difference from my first servicing. read more

I can not recommend Servco Subaru. My first experience was fine but after that things have progressively gotten worse. My Subaru (which is out of warranty) has had minor issues that I was charged a very high amount for labor and a very small sum for parts. And I have had the same problem return again after they said it was fixed. I wish I had never gone to this place to begin with....it would have saved me a lot of time, money and frustration. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. From the time you walk in the staff treats you like they don't want you there. Regrettably I purchased a 2014 CrossTrek. First they told me that they did not have the color and transmission I was looking for. Told me they didn't have one in their inventory in the state. I called over to Oahu and they said "sure we have four on our lot right now". I purchased to Crosstrek and was delivered in a week later. Then the next problem began. Called for first service. I was given a date 2 months from when I was calling. Then once I did get the car in for service I was treated like I was less than human for not having a Lexus. I thought I wanted a new Subaru with manual transmission and went into the dealer. They offered my $4000 less than the lowest trade in value on Kelley Blue Book. Which I thought was alarming since the car was serviced by them and had no issues other than a water stain on the back seat from wet board shorts at the beach. I guess they don't stand behind their own product or service and they feel a Subaru does not hold its value. I would have been a lifetime Subaru customer if not for this dealership. I went down the street and got full trade in value and bought a new Honda. Stay away from these guys. They are extremely rude and could care less about the customer. I loved the car but disliked the staff. I am a loyal customer and my loyalty now resides with Island Honda. read more
