FYI, I dont like to show any negativity about a business, however, I had to express my extreme DIS satisfaction for Lexus Maui. After buying a new Lexus from Lexus Maui in 2023, our mechanic discovered that all four Michellin tires was shredding on the outer corner of the tires. With less than 9000 miles on the car, it was a manufactures defect. Went to Lexus Maui to get it replaced. They told my spouse that they do not cover it and we would have to file a claim with Michellin. WHAT!! We dont even have the receipt for the tires, LEXUS has it!! Well to get to the point, we had to dish out close to $1000 to get it replaced at Costco. Evern Costco could not believe Lexus wouldnt assist. Dont get me wrong, Lexus is a great company that makes great vehicles, but their servicing SUCKS!!! No stars!! read more

Took my car in for three issues today: 1) The "Check system" light was on. A quick Google search told me the tire pressure sensor was not working; 2) One of the backup sensors was dislodged; and 3) My check engine light was flashing. Had the exact same issue happen last year, and this same Servco Lexus said it was a carbon buildup design issue that would be reoccurring. Took the car in this morning at 7:30 a.m. for a 7:45 appointment and used the drop box to drop off my keys. I called yesterday to confirm that I could. Thought nothing of it and went about my day. No contact whatsoever from the service department until I reached out to them around 1:00 p.m. Texted them asking for an update, all they said was the mechanic was looking at the car. No communication at all until around 3:00, when I'm told the car is ready, and that I needed to pick it up by 4:30. Still no update on the actual repairs performed or not performed. The only communication Servco Lexus initiated was that my car was ready for pickup over 7 hours after I dropped it off. Turns out nothing was resolved. Servco Lexus said that the TPM sensor and backup sensor need to be ordered, and the mechanic could not identify the check engine light issue. However, the service agent did not know anything about the carbon buildup issue until I brought it up, even though she read off the notes from the last time I brought the car in for service for the exact same issue at the exact same location. The service agent tried to assure me that the mechanic knew about the previous notes, but I have no confidence that she knows what she's talking about because she had no knowledge about the history of the car that's on their own system. The service agent also said that there was no way the sensor issues could have been resolved today, and if I had checked in the car normally I would have been told as such. I told her that if I knew that earlier in the morning I would have picked up the car immediately. I wish I knew I would be getting subpar service by using the drop box! This issue could also have been resolved if someone from Servco Lexus actually reached out to me to give me ANY sort of update before 3:00 p.m. I've been a loyal Lexus customer for a number of years and have taken my car exclusively to Servco Lexus. No more. I was already on the fence about selling my car, and now I certainly will. I was also thinking of buying another Lexus, but after this experience - I will not. Essentially, I was charged to bring my car in just for Servco Lexus to tell me that I need to bring my car in again. Servco Lexus should be sensitive to people's time and money, but today they were not. read more

Lexus makes wonderful cars. Why can't they have dealerships that provide service with competence and sell in a professional way? Servco Lexus in Maui has a website where you can purchase a car on line. Excellent, just what I wanted. A new car with a minimum of hassle. Tesla does this very well; unfortunately without the good car. I filled out the internet form, specified my desired car, upload my drivers license and proof of insurance. I would be hearing from them. All they had to do from this point was collect the money. Then ...... nothing. A while longer and still nothing. I called the dealer. Clueless about my order. Called again in a few more days: still clueless. Then I few days later I get an email saying they had found my order. Ten days later! Dear Lexus please apply the same quality control you have in your cars to your dealers. In the case of Servco Maui, I suggest you start over. read more

I have been a loyal customer for over a decade, but the recent change in management and staff has significantly impacted the quality of service. The elevated customer care I once experienced is no longer there.There was no acknowledgment of my long-term loyalty and patronage, and the service felt impersonal. Keolani's response to my concerns was offensive. Her manager, though polite, did not appear concerned about losing a loyal customer to other professionals on the island. It seems Lexus is doing great financially, as losing a long-standing customer doesn't seem to matter to them. read more

The same Sales person has never followed up even after my husband got his Lexus after me from her. No one from Service Dept has updated me for such an extended delay. A gentleman from the Parts Dept did pick up the phone and told me I should get a call from the Service Dept. I wonder at what point should it warrant a report to its HQ elsewhere. I really want to like this place but, so far, my experience with them has been a nightmare. Took my car in for a very simple problem and was told they didn't have the part. So, I order and pay for the part and proceed to wait a month and then take it in again. Then, they tell me that I didn't order the right part and that I'd have to pay for another part and have to wait some more. So, I do that and then I get home and find they completely messed up the key lock/unlock/alarm system: I can't lock the driver door anymore and, most annoyingly, the ridiculously loud alarm will go off without warning and now all my neighbors hate me. I'm afraid to take it in again because they'll probably break the car even more and then demand I pay for it. This really sucks. I just hope no one breaks in and steals the car before I can get it fixed. read more

I had to buy a new car having moved to Maui a month earlier. I had previously had a Lexus CT200 and wanted to get a new one but they were no longer made. I researched the new hybrids and found the one I want, the UX. My husband and I walked into Servco Lexus and were directed to Vilma to look at the available cars. She was so nice. We got talking and she treated us like friends. She was so wonderful. I hate the pressure and haggling of buying a new car but at Lexus this is not the case. The sticker is what you pay. It is a really great policy. The test drive was just a casual drive around town chatting with Vilma. I put down a deposit and came back to pick up the car a few days later. It was filled up with gas and had a fresh wash. Upon returning to get my license plates a few weeks later Vilma warmly greeted us and she asked how we liked the car. She is so sweet and helpful. I am writing a belated review thinking service consultant, Mel Benito Jacinto for the excellent save she provided us when we were trying to get a car on the barge to ship to the mainland. Just hours before the deadline our car was being rejected due to a tire pressure sensor light on the dashboard. They were not going to except the car with any lights on the dash. I called but realized that I had a call center in Honolulu and decided to run over to the Lexus dealership hoping their service folks would be able to help us. I didn't even have to tell my story of WHOA as I walked into the service office Mel said oh I know you're trying to get your car on the barge and have a problem. Amazing that Honolulu had already given her a heads up, she took the car into the service bay and within 20 minutes had brought it out with no lights on the dashboard, and no charge. Unhelpful sales people - if they don't have what you want on hand, they make no effort to get it for you. Won't help you work with their Honolulu store; no calls to them, no introductions, nothing. They were keen to tell me what they won't do but weren't interested in helping. Only open to 6 pm most nights. Not the service you would expect from Lexus - I have worked with Servco Maui Lexus previously when I owned an LS 430 and had always found them to be helpful; unfortunately, that is no longer the case. read more

Not too surprised! Schedule an oil change, and show up at your appointment time. Next your told your appointment is 2 hours off Because they're already behind at 10 o'clock in the morning, and that sitting and waiting is still a possibility but it's a two hour wait. Not only that they will try to sell you things you don't really need and then hold your safety check until you get these things fixed through them. I have an 06 RX 400 and they wouldn't do a safety check until they replace the rubber boots on the front axles. The repair cost that the dealership quoted was seriously ridiculous but moreover the non-severity of the situation. I left there brand new and beautiful show room service center area and went to Maui oil change and tune, I did not have an Appointment but they got me right in performed my oil change & safety check after replacing a couple of bulbs because they were very thorough but not down to the rubber boots on my front axle because it really doesn't matter. I'm not throwing shade at Lexis because I understand how high Makamaka they are, but if you don't want a bunch of BS and over charges that you could spend in much better places, seek somebody to do your work other than the Servco Lexus dealership unless of course you overpaid for some kind of service contract with a new Lexus and you're stuck there in that case I can only imagine that they find ways to nickel and dime you anyway, sincerely Kevin Williams read more

This review is for Johnny Platiro and Eric Chang of Servco Lexus Maui. I am an Oahu resident, who purchased a car from Servco Lexus Maui. I have been in the market for a used Lexus that is a a specific model, color, and package. After months scouring the ads and looking at several cars, both through Servco Lexus Honolulu, as well as through Craigslist and Autotrader, on a Monday morning I looked the Servco Lexus Pre-Owned Inventory page and found the specific car, color, and package I was looking for. I called Servco Lexus of Maui and was transferred by the receptionist to Sales Consultant Johnny Platiro, who told me the car was in excellent condition and was just traded in by one of his longtime customers because he is going to stop driving (because he is elderly). Johnny's story seemed consistent with what it looked like in the pictures, especially with under 3000 miles for a 2015. He told me that there was going to be a LOT of interest and if I wanted it, I should come to Maui to check it out. After discussing it with my wife, I decided to take the day off from work and booked tickets to fly to Kahului for the day. Johnny was very responsive in my multiple calls and texts to him. He said once I booked tickets, he would HOLD the car for me and not show it to anyone. He even called in the evening to let me know that they were going to put a "SOLD" sign on the car and remove it from the website, to ensure that it would be held for me. After flying to OGG on one of the first flights out, we grabbed some breakfast and headed Upcountry before eventually arriving at Lexus of Maui in Kahului. It is located right off of Hana Highway, located next to Krispy Kreme, and near Costco, and Da Kitchen. While I was there for a Lexus, this location also does new/pre-owned Subaru's. It isn't a fancy showroom like fellow Yelper's have mentioned; however, I saw renderings that they are moving to a new location that will be new and allow for more inventory on the lot. While that is nice, I honestly don't care about how nice the marble floors are or rotating floor for the cars. I want good, honest employees and quality, reliable cars at a reasonable price. Johnny showed my wife and I the vehicle, it was in great condition. After test driving it, we sat down with Eric Chang, the General Sales manager to discuss rates and pricing. Given that I had already expressed interest and pricing there was not drawn out back-and-forth over the price. That is what I DREAD (as I am sure other people can attest too) about car salespeople and dealers. We worked out the financing, warranty, and shipment of the vehicle, via Young Brothers, from Kahului to Honolulu. Luckily, the car was under 4000 lbs, so it was not the most expensive size (aka price) to ship. Overall, my experience with Johnny, Eric, and Servco Lexus was incredibly satisfying. I know dealers have to make money. As a pake, I want the best deal possible, but there needs to be a balance with pricing and ultimately making the customer happy. I believe Johnny really believes this and cares about "doing the right thing" for his customers (not just for the dealer or himself). That's the sign of a good guy. I went there for the annual service for my Lexus and it was solid. I called for an appt a few days before and arrived on time. The service manager and I went over goals and he said 1.5 hrs. So I asked to borrow a sales desk and the sales reps were fine with that, grabbed a coffee and did emails. An hour and half later car was done and no extra charges etc....so no complaints here. It was a nice experience. FYI: My care is from CA and I left the dealership in South Bay as the service was not that good so it goes to show you that a good dealership can win back business. For a luxury dealership it is lacking in many ways. Disappointed with customer service. One would expect when purchasing a $70k car that you would receive first class customer service. Dealership does not offer service appointment reminders, no reminders (email, snail mail, phone call or otherwise) to schedule service, or appointment reminders. Additionally, if you forget to schedule your new car service you lose your opportunity to have your car serviced. The staff in the service department would benefit from taking classes for customer service. read more

Last week my car battery died and after looking at a few different options I decided to go to Servco Lexus in Kahului for convenience, and because my brother recommended. ( He has his car serviced here, and is also currently looking at buying a new car on the lot from here ). I decided to go here even though I knew I could save a couple hundred going somewhere cheaper, because I thought the quality of service would be higher. After further inspection I needed new brakes as well. Additionally, I decided to get my oil change done at the same time. I decided to get brakes and a new battery here. Tyran in the service center was friendly, informative and very pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, when I went in to get my car ( the service center was closed but Tyran ensured I could pick up on Saturday since the service took longer than expected) , a sales representative was extremely rude, abrasive, and long story short, I could not be more disappointed with our interaction. The miscommunication and disrespect was horrible. I understand he ( I believe his name is Derek) is in a different department, but when you work for a company, everyone represents the company . You should all work together to take care of any client properly. I am disappointed that this is where I chose to spend my money, I am discouraging my brother from buying a new car off the lot here, and hope he decides to go a different route and support a different company with future services and purchases. It was my first time taking my car into the dealership for the recent airbag recall and Chester along with the entire servco Lexus Maui took care of me. I dropped my car off at 9am and within a few hours Chester had called me to let me know that my car will be ready by 2pm.
