Date comes and goes - no show. We call again several times, no response. We tried to use these guys because they were the original installer of a Baxi high efficiency hot water system in our house so they presumably know it well, but clearly they're of no help. Understandably, my advice is to avoid these guys - if I could do zero stars I would.

The ice melted and he didn't need to come out and didn't charge us for his time on the phone talking me through our issue. I will definitely call Dowd first next time. Honest and professional! However, we have 4 small children under 7 and a 1 year old born premature. for three months we dealt with one emergency after another from covid 19 having to shelter in place, going to take covid tests, it seemed each one of our kids was sick after the other and then finding out I was stuck in Maine for 15 days when going for work before I could return to Massachusetts and again stuck at a hotel before being able to go home or risk everyone having to quarantine In the midst of it we paid the oil bill late after always paying complete oversight. Rand handy called a few weeks later and said I didnt pay it and being at work unable to look it up that moment and send the information I simply paid again assuming I would get a credit toward the next delivery once straightened out. Rand handy said nothing to me that there was an issue and I said I would follow up with the receipt from the previous payment when I had a spare moment to have the account credited or learn what happened. Without a single warning or word they just didnt deliver oil again. Caught by surprised when I got a call we ran out and the house was cold I called rand handy to let them know we ran out and they had not delivered. Of course it happens when its 17 degrees out. For multiple days they claimed they were coming until I called again looking for what was going on and the secretary told me she was instructed not to deliver because we had paid the last payment late. no warning, no notice, they just let us run out and refused to deliver when it was 17 degrees and I was out of state again. We had no balance and one 280 payment late as a result of this mess with the pandemic. I requested they charge my card and fill the tank so we could have sometime to find a new company and they refused leaving us with no oil over a single late payment. Once I return in a few days I will have to look to get credited back for the double payment I have never written a review in my life but this was so egregious to do to people I had to especially with 4 small children and especially offering to pay right then and there. Totally uncalled for, I take responsibility for the single late payment but I got it done and apologized but to just fail to deliver with no warning even when offering to pay right there was just wrong. The pendemic has caused a mess for people and a reminder call may have been nice than just a no show and cut off in the freezing weather.

Eric was our service tech - incredibly knowledgeable about HVAC. Educated me on how it all works and the system parts involved. Reasonably priced for the time and effort he put into the visit. Feel confident this company knows what it is doing!! He also did not try to sell us anything. He provided reasonable recommendations (replace an incorrect AC grill and consider a service contract) that go the office for an emailed quote. Very happy with this initial interaction!

They put it in our house without figuring out or even knowing if our plumbing would support it. They have reduced the value of our home. There's a lot more to this story. I went back and forth with this terrible company for more than a year. I will most likely open a civil lawsuit against them if and when we can afford to pay for repairs which one plumber said would be $6000. The cost of the install was $14000. I did this for our handicapped daughter so she would have a fairly care free home maintenance future. They don't care. DO not do business with these people!!!!
