This was an amazing experience I had with Service Master. The whole company took care of me from the minute I called till the end. Darren the Project Manager and his team did a superb job. I was in the middle of walk through (buying a house) when the washer flooded the whole laundry room. The bank suspended my loan until everything was clear. It was close to holidays and any minute would go against closing the escrow. This team not only did a professional inspection and instructions to fix the problem, but their quick prompt and caring about my situation was unique. Don't waste your time with Concord Service Master. Call Serve Pro, Bales or some other restoration company! This franchise took advantage of my mother and 83 year old grandmother. They were called out because of a broken water pipe and immediately began tearing the kitchen floors apart. When Service Master figured out the insurance company wouldn't pay for it, they continued to tear out floors until my grandmother stopped them. With the kitchen floors half torn apart they left!!! To top it off, they sent someone back out to convince my mother to sign a release of liability waiver for the damage done! I spent two weeks calling everyone from the tech to the project manager to the vice president and never got help. The VP told me that he would call back and never did. They tried to tell me that everything was done by the book but it was definitely not. All I asked was that they send someone back to clean up the mess and tear the rest of the floors out so I could hire someone to replace the damage. Very disappointed. If this were my franchise I would be embarrassed! read more

Not really sure where to start. Our water heater went out on Sunday and we are still without hot water and not sure for how much longer because it caused a lot of water damage. I have to say, I had as great an experience as one could have when their kitchen completely floods. We bought our house this past November. The home inspection came back perfect so we moved right in thinking everything would be great. Little did we know that just 2 months later our house would leak and completely ruin our entire kitchen. I called ServiceMaster because they were a preferred provider through our insurance. They were literally the only company in our whole situation that was nice, courteous, and headache-free. I spoke with Kimberly several times and she was wonderful to work with. I was so stressed out and even cried a few times when talking to her but she was so patient with me and made sure everything would be taken care of. She would call weekly to see how things were going and if insurance was making any progress; basically, she tried her hardest to keep them from dragging their feet. Diego was the guy who actually came to our house to assess the damage and do the actual work. He made sure I knew everything that was going on and gave us detailed explanations of whatever he was doing and that everything he touched would be covered under insurance. He and his crew were always on time and courteous throughout the entire job. I felt completely comfortable with them being in my home and getting the job done right. The Service Master was refereed to my by my insurance company. When I called them they got my insurance info and started dealing with them directly. Their respond was good, the job was fine but it took long and they never give me an estimate and give me the chance to shop around. They took every penny from my insurance and after that they sent me an invoice that the insurance was over the limit. I have been asking them over and over that , "why they did not give an estimate and give me a chance to shop around before they started the jobs?" They never listened to me, and they used their attorney to get the extra charges from me. If you are using their service, make sure they give you an estimate and time to get a 2nd opinion. read more

Service Master was hired by our insurance company to clean and repair damage from the Sonoma fire restoration. They had the nerve to charge $28,000 to wipe down the garage walls the living room walls and some other walls which they did not do and they did such a poor job that my housekeeper had to redo it and she charge me $900. Service Master is a total rip off. However because they have contracts with the insurance companies and the insurance company paid them whatever they're ask for. Which is one of the reasons our insurance rates are increasing drastically. Service Master did agree to refund a few thousand dollars of their $28,000 bill which virtually 30% of the work was performed. This is one of the reasons we all get to enjoy higher insurance premiums. read more

We went with ServiceMaster from a recc from our insurance after a basement flood. The work was completed and they found mold in the walls. It's been 3 months since they left the basement exposed and have been non-responsive to us or our insurance about the scope of work. One voicemail in July and 3-4 emails that I had to instigate...Just tell us you don't want to do the job, already. They left their supplies, including a giant fan, in the basement. What am I supposed to do with this? Had I known there'd be 3 months of delay and ghosting, I would've selected anyone else. 1 star for the basement work, but their customer service is completely unprofessional. read more

A wonderful crew of four Servicemaster representatives consisting of Marlina Flannery, Jason Trujillo, Juana and Joshua arrived promptly at the time they said they would arrive. This crew was fast, efficient, thorough and truly cared about the work they were performing--packing up our precious valuables. Each were incredibly professional and service-oriented and they worked like clockwork together. We greatly appreciated their diligence and care. Kudos to the team! I had major mold damage in a few areas of my house. ServiceMaster was on it with the demolition and remediation process. In addition to removing the mold, they cleaned and purified the air. After being sick for eight weeks and dry heaving just walking around my house, it was a very pleasant change of pace to breathe in cleaner, healthier air. The project manager answered my questions promptly and always returned my calls. He sent pleasant, personable, hardworking technicians, on a regular basis, to ensure proper abatement and progress on the entire project. There was one fairly constant technician who always greeted me with a smile (and "Good Morning") upon arrival, answered my questions and explained the process and what to expect. While I had not anticipated on the entire project lasting 2 weeks, I wasn't prepared for the amount of moisture and mold damage that required all of the attention and technician hours. Dishwasher and part of kitchen floor had to be removed and floor dried out for several days before replacing new DW and flooring due to leak. ServiceMaster tech Amanda was here when she said she would be with drying equipment. She informed us of moisture content readings over several days until she was sure floor was dry and mold would not be a problem. She made a painful process less painful. read more

They came to help us at 9pm on a Saturday night and stayed until midnight! They were always on time and worked very hard! It is awful and disgusting and we had have to pay professionals to take care of the rodent infestation left when this contractor finished working. If you have to move out while this company works in your home check on them to make sure they are securing your home when they leave for the day and that they are treating your home and belongings with respect. ServiceMaster of Concord was referred to us by our insurance company to come in and mitigate work after another much smaller restoration company did incomplete work. While the teams that came in and did the physical work were professional. Management and their support staff however were, and continue to be disorganized, unprofessional, downright rude and disrespectful. Beware that members of their management team including Jeremy, Jacob and coordinator Jessica will tell you whatever they think you want to hear and/or anything that removes liability away from them and then fail to deliver on whatever it is they say. Week after week, we continue to receive nothing but excuses, party lines, more excuses and one empty apology after another. The work on our master bathroom was completed weeks ago and to date I have still not received an itemized invoice, or the necessary copies of an air test to push forward with construction work to put our master bath back in its original condition and frankly this last problem is one of a myriad of issues that we have had to address. If you find yourself requiring any type of restoration work for your home or business do not under any circumstances use this company. This company is a fail. ****Add insult to injury, finally received the invoice and Service Masters is charging for services never done and had the audacity to tell me they sent me the air report, to then realize that they didn't have it either!!! If this isn't enough of a warning to future potential customers, I don't know what is.**** read more
