I feel that their HVAC, plumbing and appliance technicians are professional, and are knowledgeable in their individual fields of expertise. However, here's a summary of some of the issues I have with my most recent experience: - I'm now being told to schedule an annual A/C or furnace inspection (which I'm told I need to do to keep my warranty in place (I originally purchased my A/C and furnace from them)), that I need to do it a month or more in advance from when I want the inspection. So, if I want my annual A/C inspection to be performed in mid-April, I'm told I need to call them probably in late February to schedule a mid-April appointment. In the past, making an inspection appointment had to be done maybe 1-2 weeks in advance. This indicates to me that maybe they don't have enough service technicians? Don't now, just speculation on my part. - I had difficulty understanding what the associate was saying, I think, due to the headset she was using (she verified she was on a headset). I had to ask for her to repeat several times, which is frustrating. - Trying to verify current inspection pricing was not a pleasant experience. - I was told that they can still bump my appointment for someone else with an emergency, leaving me wondering if the appointment I made will be actually kept (or rescheduled by them). In the past, for other types of service appointments, they rescheduled me twice. - The best Service One can give you is an 8 hour window as to when a technician will be at your house (they used to give a 4 hour window). So someone working has to take the full day off (or have someone else there), so that they are available to be there when they give their 30-minute call that they are on their way. At best, I give these guys 2 stars. read more

****Update 11/7/25***** Paid way too much for a unit that stopped working after 2 months! Called for service at 7pm its now 11:30 PM and they never showed up! Worst company ever, waste of money. Too add to the issues I would also like to mention your system changed billing and did not retain my automatic payment information, which is a you problem no my issue. Then you do not inform me of the change and continue to charge me month after month. Yes I did receive a building statement but it had no updated total or information I was continually being charged. To my knowledge the payment was coming out as I set it up, this falls on Service One not me. Approximately 15 years ago you needed my heating and air, I moved past it and used you again in May because it was installed wrong again, you can confirm with the technician, it was wired wrong and quit working after it was installed. That is why they came out in August to fix what you all didn't do right. I emailed about my concerns no one ever got in touch with me or called to apologize or make it right. I am done working with a company that won;t back up their product with a call, I also asked the city to come and inspect the installation due to concerns. 11/7/25 **** Update I spoke to cusomer servce they admited fault, one they lost 90% of their saved bank account information which was why their system deleted mine and other bank information. The person said their are hundres of customers effected. They said they some worker requested that letter be sent out to inform the people effected they need to update their bank information but the company refused. They went on to say that their billing process has no way of caculating missed back payments and does not reflect that on a bill. They admited fault but refused to do anything but give me a 2 month credit. I asked for a call for the last 2 days no one from Service One has called me ever. read more

On September 2, 2025 at about 11:30a.m. I walked into Blondo Nails Salon and was greeted by a man at the front counter right away. I had no appointment , as I was a walk-in. I know that being a walk-in you may have to wait, if they are busy. They were not busy at all, there was only one customer getting a manicure in the front part of the salon. The man asked me what service I wanted, I told him a Mani-pedi. I picked out my color of choice and was lead to the back for the pedicure. I've been here several times before and they are pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I was shocked to see only one other customer in the part of the salon getting work done, and about 4 to 5 nail techs sitting around doing nothing. Blondo Nails is usually busy, but not this time. They have about 12 to 14 pedicure stations that all have message chairs. Well, today they showed me who they really are and what they think of me. They were running water in the pedicure station that was damaged. The leather on the back of the message chair was worn out, missing, I could see the metal gears and there was no cushion left behind the leather back part. All the other stations/chairs were fine, no damage at all, but this is where you want me to sit, at the damaged station. I guess me being Black had nothing to do with it. So, when I refused to sit there, the nail tech that was running the water looked puzzled and confused, so she began running water at another station and I decided to leave. They knew what they were doing and they know what they were saying without saying a word. The man in the front wanted to know why I was leaving, I told him to ask them. I wish I could give Service One 5 negative stars. They are absolutely horrible. My refrigerator was freezing over. It was 4 days before they even could look at it. They finally came out and said they would order the parts to fix it. I asked if I should turn it off - they said no. Parts should take 5 to 7 days. Fast forward to 2 1/2 weeks - parts not here (or were they?). By this time my refrigerator started thawing. Spewing water every where. I called repeatedly for days. Nope. Parts not here yet (but were they?) I asked if I should unplug the refrigerator. They said as long as the water to the fridge was turned off, I did NOT need to turn it off. In the interim, I'm using every towel in the house to mop up the water. I called and told them they ruined my floor and asked if should I turn it off. They again said "no" as long as the water was off to the fridge. I told them it was unacceptable and I wanted someone here the next day. While they said that was not possible, later that day they called to tell me my parts just magically arrived that morning (as if they were not sitting in their warehouse for days). They said they were going to be out for the first apt of the day. At noon I called and they told me there was a morning meeting and they would be there in an hour. My would floor is ruined. Even Serve Pro told me I would have to replace the section of floor - and the underlayment. Service One's response was "Oh, well". But there's more. This morning I went to the basement to feed my dogs and there was water all over the floor - coming from the air conditioning. I called Service One and ... wait for it ...they can't come look at it for a week!!! Please, please, please - DO NOT USE SERVICE ONE. It's a giant scam. Service One was scheduled to come and service our dryer today between 3 and 6 pm. At 5:50 pm they still hadn't shown up. We called to see where they were and were told that they weren't coming until next Tuesday! Why did they tell us Friday? We've been waiting around all afternoon for this guy! Dryer has been out since Tuesday! That is an entire week of waiting for anyone to show up. The phone scheduler insinuated it was OUR mistake. Nope. They said Friday. I sure hope he brings the parts to fix it on Tuesday. Good grief!!! Time to start looking for an alternative. Not acceptable. read more

The proplem is that they just do a band-aid fix, they drag you along until you finally give up and go to someone else to get a permanet fix. If you are ever told to "use a thinner filter" for your HVAC system, find someone who knows what they are doing, NOT ServiceOne. My daughter is dealing with them and she just gets the run around. She needs to talk to Brittney, but she is never available and dosn't return any calls. SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND TIME, USE ANYONE ELSE. We moved and after having the service 5 years, the 6th year they would not refund 10 of the months we would be not using because the agreement is for one year, unlike every other service in the world. read more

BEWARE!! We were going to sign up for their "Home Warranty" at the end of October. A tech (Larry Miller) came out to inspect our furnace and said our "heat exchanger was cracked" and showed us a picture on his phone. We asked to see it in person and the tech said he would have to charge us a service fee to go back down there and show us. He furnished a $1361 quote for a new heat exchanger to be installed. The tech even wrote up a scary looking "hazardous equipment" ticket for us to sign (see photo 1) and shut off our furnace when we told him we would be obtaining a second opinion. We had Jackson come out for a second opinion (see photo 2) and our furnace was given a clean bill of health. The tech even had us come down and watch the camera feed as he was looking inside of the unit to see there were no issues. Last year, when it was time to fix my fridge, they lied saying the part was discontinued and offered some money instead of replacing the fridge. I ended up paying out pocket for a repair from a diff company. Fast forward to to today, my microwave stop heating and wad jus told that they couldn't repair or replace because it exceed its value! I've been with Service One for over 30 years and am finally saying goodbye. This used to be a great company and service to have. Now you pay nearly $60/mo. and then have to pay more for service call fees and whatever else they can trump up. They used to say "If we can't fix it, we'll buy you a new one." This is not true anymore. And they rarely fix anything! Last year it was our refrigerator. Because the brand stopped making the replacement parts needed, they put it back on us and gave us a fraction credit at NFM of what the fridge cost us. This year it is our furnace. They opened a can of worms on our old furnace and then said it will no longer be covered and neither will our A/C. So exactly what does Service One do besides take my money??? ServiceNone: The wind chill is sub-zero outside. I had to bring space heaters over to my friends house last night. His furnace went out and they have a contract with serviceone. They suggested that they do the repair, and receive a "discount" on the $3600 work since they are on contract, and would only pay $1500 for the repair. (Never mind the fact that the work would normally only cost $1500 anyways). The serviceone rep said they would leave space heaters for them, but only if they signed the bid to complete the "discounted" work. So despite paying $50/mo for the warranty and service contract. My friend was left with absolutely nothing after the serviceone visit, except for an overpriced bid, wasted time, and apparently a wasted monthly fee for ServiceNone. Our heater wasn't working normal this morning, 27 Jan 2023, so I called Service One. We've been with this company, since 1993. The service technician Malo LaCombe didn't have time to fix the problem, so he jury rigged it, so we would have heat. This means our heat pump is unplugged now and we have to wait until Tuesday, 31 Jan 2023, before another technician can come look at it. Malo stated he didn't have time to fix the problem. We had Service One put in this HVAC Unit in 2003, and it hasn't worked efficiently with the heat pump ever since. I know the real problem is that our heater keeps shutting off and won't warm the house up to the desired temperature. read more

I've been so unhappy with Service One for awhile now. We have used them for 30 yrs. now. Up to $66+ a month, then charge $37.50 trip fee to come out for a standard repair. I now have a plumbing problem that requires a plumbing person from Service One so the cost will be what a plumber cost. First the lady from Service One says $250 for the first hour then the guy tells me $320 for the first hour...well that's because you need 2 guys to do the work. So I'm looking at $500 or more to do the job. He said I could check around for prices or use them. Any other place would give me a bid free of charge. Service One is hwy robbery. On the service calls I made, I had to go to the owner to have work done on the furnace after the staff for HVAC was condescending and their office sent a disturbing letter. I had four call to fix a toilet that still is not fixed, screws left off the AC when a service check was done which left a high vibration, a furnace part forced in crooked with the screws being placed in at an angle and loose and now a shut off valve installed without Teflon tape, overtightened which still leaked, compromised the existing copper and a very cheap shut off valve was used for a replacement. Service One should be k own as Service Last....the last place you would call. I would strongly recommend if you need work done call a pro and place the contract money I to a maintenance account. They may of been good at one time but that time has long passed. read more

Furnace/air conditioning motor went out on my older unit in the basement. Took them weeks to get the right part in, but managed to keep it running until then. These guys are fast and efficient and get the job done but their technicians customer service needs help. I seriously had no clue on what was being worked on and asked plenty of questions but the tech I had working at my house just looked at me like I wouldn't understand. I'm interested in what's going on and need to know what to look for if this happens again. It would help if they explained a little of what had happened in the first place so I would feel a little better knowing it was fixed correctly. Service One Omaha Neb Let me start by saying I have never wrote a review let alone a bad review on anybody but I truly believe this is a horrible company. Starting on Dec 28th, I called for a service repair on Fridge that had ice growing out of the outside of it. It was freezing all my food in the inside of the fridge. Service One sent a Service Guy out who said "it was a ice machine issue and water leak and we're not going to cover it." I decide I want a second opinion and called service guys we know from Union 464 and one from Union 16 who handle water leaks. Both I highly recommend. Both stated it was not an ice machine issue or a water leak. I spent weeks on the phone with plumbers, fridgarie, and Service One trying to get this figured out. So Fridgaire, 2 plumbers, and a service guy in Benson who I spoke with on the phone and sent pictures too all agreed it is not the ice machine or water leak. All stating it needs a rear panel insulation pad. A common problem with this Fridge. I was happy at this point and thought great Service One can help me and then contacted Service One's office back. They refused to listen to me or believe me. The receptionists over at Service One stated "no the notes say its the ice machine and you are not covered." Dec 31st - 4 times I called and tried to get help Jan 3rd Jan 4th Jan 6th Jan 8th I also emailed Lesa Rois 4- 5 times with no response This is not including the times my husband has called. Every single time I tried to explain that this was not a water leak issue or an ice maker the receptions were rude and wanted to argue. The only exception to this was a receptionist named Britney who was friendly, helpful and genuinely tried to help me. And honestly should probably train the rest of the office on customer service skills. Finally My husband and I had to buy a fridge because we had no food for 3 weeks trying to get this problem solved. All of the food in our refrigerator was frozen. Finally 4 weeks later, Service one sends out their head service guy. He was a super friendly guy and he walks up and right away says it is NOT an ice maker or water leak! Four weeks it took Service One to say that. It's the REAR PANEL KIT. Which we knew 4 weeks ago. So once again I think Thank God our warranty is going to help us. Even though we had to buy a new fridge because they ignored us for 4 weeks. Maybe now they will be able to do something to make it right....... Unfortunately that did not happen. Service One now says they DON"T COVER that part because it is a manufacture defect. So now I speak to a supervisor at Frigidaire. He states there is no manufacture defect or recall on this fridge. It's actually comical at this point. This is ridiculous. Our home buyers bought us a warranty. We bought our home buyers a warranty. One I will never recommend to my family friends, co-workes, or any of the Realtors in my family or friend circle. The part we need is a rear panel kit. It is a thick insulation pad. Fridgeaire does have a webpage you can check or you can contact Fridge Air yourself to see that the 2014 French Door Fridge does not a defect or a recall listed. You can't call yourself a warranty service is you spend all your time trying to figure out how to NOT HELP SOMEONE instead of trying to help someone. This COMPANY HAS SPENT WEEKS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE SURE I WILL NOT BE COVERED. Instead of just trying to have good customer service and help us. It seems to me that Service One tried to pull every word out of there small print they could find not to not help us. Ice Machine - not covered Water leak - not covered Manufactures Defect - not covered. And all 3 times wrong they were wrong. In the meantime we have 3 kids and a refrigerator we can not put food in and that did not work for 3 weeks. It's sad. I thought when buying our house it was awesome we had a warranty company that would be able to help us in situations like these. But they do not help you. They try to find ways to get out of it. After purchasing a home warranty I had some electrical issues. This was the start of many trips to my home as they couldn't seem to get it together. First trip, they couldn't figure out the issue and said they'd be back. They never set up the appointment i was promised and had to call back in and explain to the call center what was going on. They tried to refuse a second trip as the service techs didnt leave any notes on my account. Second trip they wired the light in my young children's room on without any way to turn it off. When I called in, the solution I was offered was just unscrew the bulb! I had to push hard to speak to a supervisor because the electricians claimed that it was that way when they arrived at my home. Really, there was a ceiling fan and they took it down and replaced it with a 25 cent plastic light socket without a ground. Also, they left the nasty dusty fan on my son's bedding. After further investigation, they wired the two biggest circuits together in my house leaving a total of 35 amps on a 20 amp breaker. If I turned everything on and the breaker failed, I would have had a house fire. They claimed they could put it back and then charge me to do it the right way. I had to run a length of romex myself so that I could avoid paying for them refusing to honor their home warranty if they had to do their work up to code. Nasty customer service if one of their field employees are at fault. They will never offer an apology, just a fix of just have your young kids unscrew the light bulb if you can no longer use the wall switch! The end result is they refunded my warranty. Our A/C went out about midnight Saturday during the hottest week of the summer (so far). We put in a call to Service One (with whom we have a home warranty) and finally got a call back saying someone would get back to us first thing Monday. We put in a call to another service, who sent a tech out Sunday, diagnosed our problem - blower motor, fan and bracket were shot - and told us they may be able to get parts overnighted. Now it was a race to see who could get here first. Surprisingly, Service One diagnosed the issue over the phone and told us we would be the first call on Monday morning. Parts were delivered by 1030 Monday and Israel, the tech, showed up a couple hours later to do the install. He brought the wrong bracket, since we had an unusual type, got the correct one delivered, and had everything operational by 1730. I was giving Service One 4 stars, but tossed in a 5th star, just because Israel is very knowledgeable and got us up and running. He also accomplished the annual A/C inspection that was scheduled for next week! read more

I had a leaking pipe that just broke from a freeze. Not only do they want the $75 co-pay but they wanted another $100 because it happened on the weekend. I had a similar company in Dallas when I bought down there and they sucked eggs too. This genre of service provider is right at the bottom with cable service providers. *Long winded review coming. You've been warned* We bought our house back in June and got a one year warranty as part of the purchase. We recently started having some problems with our furnace, which was fairly old. We knew we would probably need to replace it in the next five years or so but didn't anticipate problems in year one. But, no problems, we have the warranty, right? We came back from Christmas and our house was freezing, so we called ServiceOne. They were out the next day and Mike diagnosed the problem right away. A cracked heat exchanger. It would be covered for the $75 copay but oh wait, when the house was built, the air return was built too small for the unit, so the repair to the current unit would mean that any future problems wouldn't be covered under the warranty because of the misspecified duct work. Of course. So, our options were to repair it (should have just done that, in hindsight), do some additional duct work for a hefty price, or replace the whole unit. Given the age of the furnace and knowing we'd need to do it soon, we decided to go the route of replacing it. A new, efficient furnace with peace of mind for the coming winter seemed a good long term decision. They had the guys out the next day to replace it. So far, so good. The technicians were prompt, courteous and generally respectful. They had the thing up and running by the end of the day. Great news. However, we kept smelling a natural gas smell. The install tech said it was probably the oils of the new unit burning off and they should go away soon. This was a Tuesday. On Wednesday, the smell was worse. Natural gas, I was sure. Made a call, another tech came out and literally said "I don't smell anything". Really? How is that possible. But, again, he "said" he check everything and it should be getting better soon. Just oils burning off. I should have called the gas company but when trained (presumably) technicians say "it's normal", you want to believe them. Silly fool, I am. Fast forward to Friday, still smells. Call out a "senior tech", who comes in and immediately says that smell is definitely still the oil burning off. He smells it, he's sure that's it. Definitely not gas, he says. They put lots of oil on these things, he says. He does some work and says it should be better. Give it some time. He's a pro, I believe him. All weekend, it smells. I finally call the gas company just to make sure it wasn't that. Just trying to cover all bases. If it's not gas, it checks off one more explanation. The gas guy walks in and immediately says "that's not a normal smell". Yeah, we've been saying that all week!! Within minutes, he diagnosed a gas leak. The unit was not properly connected to the house gas line. We'd been in a house with a gas leak for six days. Now, it was never THAT bad as far as being overly dangerous because our CO/explosive gas alarm never went off but I don't know what my entire family being exposed to natural gas does to a person. The gas company guy corrected the problem and boom, no more smell. Several things are frustrating with our experience overall. First, we called out two different techs after the installation who went into the situation thinking one thing and one thing only: oil burning. NEVER ONCE did they troubleshoot. Never once did they problem solve. Never once did they do their freaking jobs. They simply said it was oil. Second, I knew it smelled like gas, why would experienced guys not be able to detect the same? Finally, we told April, the sales coordinator who has been very nice, about the issue and she seemed very concerned and said a supervisor would call to discuss the issue. That was over 48 hours ago and no call. Nothing, Nada. I'm going with two stars for now because the furnace is now working and is doing great. The install guys, though they messed up that connection issue, were good guys. Finding that mistake with the subsequent visits should have been super easy for both techs had they even remotely given any effort at all to do their jobs. Neither did and as a result, we sat in a gas smelling house for six days. For that, the company gets zero stars, combined with the lack of concern that they have shown in subsequent days. Perhaps I can update this later after I feel the issue has been addressed. But, I certainly could not recommend this business based on my overall experience so far. read more

What a scam. It's such a shame that this company can't seem to get it together or to actually cover what they say they do. Recently I called regarding a leaking boiler backflow device. I honestly didn't think it would be covered but much to my surprise I was told that it was. The guy on the phone actually put me on hold to do le check. So I set up the appointment. Got q call later in the week saying that the device they use to check the backflow is being serviced. Great perhaps another couple days. Nope. 2 weeks. Ok fine. Not the best situation but it can hold 2 weeks. Call two weeks later, still not ready. So I say perhaps I call somewhere else and have them do it and service one can reimburse me. You know, because I pay a premium for a service which they cant provide. Of course they cant do that. They suggest I perhaps call someone else because it's not like they cover a backflow device anyway. WHAT?! I spent a whole conversation on the phone specifically checking if it is is covered and suddenly it's not. I tell the person on the phone that this is absolutely ridiculous and I want to speak to a manager and get my money back since I only began the service 3 months ago. I get a machine and leave a msg. No reply. I call 3 or 4 more times with no return call. I know that certain things cant be helped. I am a reasonable person. I mean, I waited 2 weeks for this thing to be fixed only to call to check in two weeks later and they tell me they still dont even know when their device will even be finished being calibrated. Then to not even return my calls on top of that. Unacceptable. I suppose at this point I will have to eat the cost of a year of coverage and the best I can do with the situation is to warn everyone out there that if this can happen to me then it can and probably will happen to you. Air went out on a hot day in July, I called several companies for a bid and although not the cheapest the 10 year we cover everything on the standard air unit just made sense. They replaced my unit in a couple of days with friendly personable techs. So far no issues with the installation. If You have AC problems these guys should be on your list of people to talk to. read more

Received a Service One Warranty when we bought our house. We were pretty excited as they were a local company and like to support local companies when we can. A complete disaster trying to get people to come out. When scheduling doesn't work they make excuses and try to pass it back off as my fault. The last time I waited around for them for 2 hours after they were supposed to be there and finally went to work. Note to Service One: When you are providing a service to customers that have a problem and they pay for this service, you need to PROVIDE the actual service. I would have been one of your biggest advocates and probably brought you many other customers if you had done what you said and had several people waiting to see how it went with you .. I have told them and none of them are considering you now. You need to treat your customers with more respect and an occasional missed appointment isn't the end of the world .. but how you treat them when they call in about the missed appointment is what defines your company .. and you failed! Called ServiceOne at 9:03 PM for an emergency service call, they called back at 9:32. they left VM asking for a call back. Phone problem, I missed the call and called back at 10:03 PM left VM, Called back and left a second message at 10:50 left VM. no call back. called the office 11:19PM after no response. informed they would reach out for a call back. No call from Tech. Called back to the office at 12:45 AM told they would reach out for a call back, no call. Called back back at 2:00 AM informed. Informed that the tech had made multiple call attempts, cell shows one incoming call attempt and that he had called into the office and said the emergency was canceled. He had made zero attempt to call back, the office had made zero attempt to inform me and at every call apparently the call center lied about having reached out to the tech or call. I've learned 3 things from this experience. 1, The Tech a liar as only one call attempt was made and no attempt to respond to the two voice mails or respond to the number left attempts. 2, the customer service reps are too lazy to do their job and either reach out to the tech as they said they would at 11:19 pm, 12:45 AM or 2:00AM. And 3 after talking to their customer service they have convinced me that moving the 6 account with service one to another company is likely the best way to go. Because even when you pay them a monthly service fee and agree and an emergency trip charge fee of 150.00 they cant be bothered to show up or have the common courtesy to call you back. its a shame a 1/2 star rating is not possible. read more

I made an appointment over a week and a half ago for them to service my A/C before it got too hot. I confirmed the appointment today at 2:15 (between 12-5) then they called to reschedule at 4:25 this afternoon for this coming Friday. Bad marks! read more
