On the day of my appointment, Taro provided an estimated arrival time and arrived right around the timeframe I had requested. He was professional, friendly, and took the time to walk me through the entire process. He listened to my concerns about the mess my dogs had made of our living room carpet and made sure I knew that all of the products being used were safe for my dogs. Taro used an enzyme cleaner to help eliminate the unwanted odors, and I could not be happier with the results! My carpet looks brand new, and there are absolutely no lingering odors. You call a plumber for a leak...they recommend a water damage company, who then recommends a GC...and everything is inflated for insurance purposes. Sometimes the homeowner is part of the scam too. This is one of many reasons why insurance is skyrocketing. I had a HVAC condensation line leak in my house. I did not like the suggested plumbers from my home warranty company so I called a highly rated local guy. I will give him a separate review. But they recommended Express Dry and with a situation I never experienced before, I listened to the plumber and Express Dry and it was a stupid mistake. For this simple leak they wrecked my master bath tile, wrecked my hardwood floors, wrecked drywall and baseboard with staples (for the plastic sheeting) and per every GC I interviewed afterwards for repair estimates, all of it was unnecessary. See photos. The wood cuts they made were over the top and if they had done that part professionally, I could have repaired that part myself with remnant wood in the garage. All of the (most likely) unneeded drying machines used gave me a $600 electrical bill, even with solar, and I was forced into an unneeded asbestos report. All of it to over bill insurance. If I ever have a leak again I would handle it so differently. Not every leak needs this amount of response. Not recommended and find yourself a trusted repair person to ask questions about when stuff like this occurs

Arturo came to give an assessment of what is going on, what needs to be done, and when they are going to do so. The preparation they did before the work was amazing. I have carpet upstairs and they put plastics on everything so there would be a minimal cleaning in the end. Arturo communicated with me on everything they are working on. After all done, they cleaned everything, they put back my toilet with no issue, the walls are painted and textured. I didn't think that they were cutting any corners or trying to get it all done and get my money and be out. Only small issue I had was the communication about the invoices with their accounting team. I had to call them multiple times to get it updated since I needed the bills split between HOA and me. But in the end they got it all figured out.

Askia came out and looked around the attic while I watched from the ladder. First, he showed me that the supposed mildew was some sort of harmless sandy clay-ish material. And the supposed black mold was just "lumber mold", an industry term for "stain fungi"--the common dark streaks in lumber that originate at the sawmill or in the forest, don't weaken the lumber, and are not indications of moisture. Who knew? Well, Askia knew. And he actually spent time convincing me that we didn't need their services. So do I recommend them to you? You betcha! An honest company is a joy to find.
