This salon is a small place that's kinda hidden, it's located on the back side of PCH, close to McDonald's. I came here because I was given a gift certificate for a free cut and style and if it's free I'm in! Haha! So I had been debating about cutting my long hair that I had been growing forever. So I found a couple pics and took them in. My appt. was with Patrick and he was awesome. I showed him what I was looking to do and he gave me his input and we went right to work!! He did a straight chop and suggested that I donate my hair to locks of love because it was over 10 inches of healthy hair, 12 inches to be exact. I was so scared I wouldn't like it, but Patrick kept me at ease and did his magic and came out with this gorgeous head of hair (my profile pic). The entire time the place was bustling with customers coming in and out. There are only 4 stations and space is limited as they are constantly moving from the chair to the shampoo station to the dryers. There is a small lot for parking as well as street parking. After moving back from NYC, it was very hard for me to find a good salon. I bounced around a lot and was never happy with my experiences in LA, so before deciding on the next stylist, I did a ton of research and the due diligence paid off. After relocating to this area, I read countless reviews on most of the highly rated salons (and their stylists) in Long Beach, Cerritos, Lakewood, Orange County, and Manhattan Beach (both negative and positive). The one negative review about Jessica didn't bother me, as it sounds and is pretty evident that the reviewer was throwing a tantrum in very poor taste. (I mean, it was her fault for being late and that throws off the schedule for not just the stylist, but other customers too. If anything, she should be apologizing. Tsk tsk. Bad etiquette.) Well, it's too bad she missed out because Jessica is AMAZING, The salon itself is very cozy, and everyone there warmly greets you. You could tell what kind of a salon this is when you notice that the other men and women getting their hair done are all.. well.. very happy. This set the mood and put me at ease as I was nervous about getting my first balayage. When I met Jessica, she was very warm, sweet and I really liked her make-up. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and she delivered! The 3 hours it took to get my hair done felt like 20 minutes and when she was done, I was floored with the results. When I went out, one person commented that I had movie star hair and a couple of guys hit on me. When I went shopping, I couldn't help but check myself out when passing by mirrors. Hehe. And at last when my husband saw me, he said that I looked ten years younger. Mission accomplished! I am so glad to have found someone I can trust with my hair. COVID-19. Need I say more? My current hair stylist isn't following the health protocol (it's ok, their prerogative) but doesn't coincide with mine. After going months SEVERAL months without a cut and color (I did gray touch up's at home) I used Yelp to find a local salon with amazing reviews, that was following the COVID health "rules". Loved the reviews I read re this salon, called and was given an appt with Patrick for 7/1. They are following protocol, everyone is wearing a mask, they sanitize before and after clients, they have clients spaced out in the salon (i'm so sorry they have to do this, but protects everyone). Patrick was amazing!!! He listened to the color/cut I usually get, informed me of what he was doing and described the products he used and why. I was VERY comfortable. My hair looks and feels amazing. Thank you Patrick! Even if you don't like it, the times have changed people. The way of doing business has changed and it breaks my heart that businesses may/have closed. I was more than happy to "get my hair did" and support a local business. This is my new spot! read more

I used to live in Long Beach, but now live in CM, but I wouldn't go anywhere else. Got a Living Social coupon and took the plunge. Jessica was AWESOME! She took her time talking to me and assessing my hair to help me decide what to do. She had the coolest towel trick with the robe and got straight to work. She efficiently and professionally colored my hair after providing a wide array of drink options. When it came time to wash and rinse, she gave me a long, deep head and neck massage while the conditioner was setting. AMAZING! She used this awesome brush to get all the tangles quickly and easily out of my thick, curly mess of hair. She cut quickly but thoughtfully with interesting, non-invasive conversation. She blew out and straightened my hair beautifully then cut some more to balance and blend. She really helped me pick product without being pushy. Her prices without the coupon are very reasonable. Jessica is unprofessional and just plain rude. I had made an appointment and was running a little late. The receptionist in the front told me to come on over anyways and that there was no problem. As I arrive, she apologizes and tells me that Jessica will not be able to fit me in. Then as I try and reschedule, there's little to no availability. I find out that Jessica is sitting on a couch, no more than 10 feet away. The receptionist had to go back and forth to check with her like a little messenger. I'm sorry but can you have some common courtesy and come over to speak with me. Let's just say I'll never be visiting that place again. read more
