Honestly this is by far the best nail salon I've ever been to. They are the MOST KIND people I've ever encountered, they're so knowledgeable, and they are true masters of their craft. Tom and Ly are so sweet and are willing to go out of their way to make sure that your nails are exactly what you want. The technicians are all so knowledgeable and even suggested a nail shape based on my hands and nail beds, super personalized. The store is SO clean and they've handled Covid and the changes that came along with that so well. You get your own bag of implements and product to avoid cross contamination between patrons, masks required, and sanitizing stations after use. So I debated about making this review because I have been coming here for over 5 years. I have had some of the best nail sets and care from the nail techs and Tom as well. However, since 2021, this place has gone down in the quality they produce. I pay more than I ever had, which I completely understand due to covid and inflation. The past 4 experiences I have had here have been not the best. I usually make appointments after work and they are always quick to accommodate. I do wait 20 + minutes give or take, which is fine because I also understand wanting to serve everyone. I have NEVER had any ingrown toe nails in my life and the past 4 times I have been here, the nail techs that have done my toes have been inexperienced in my opinion. They will do my pedicure and put the gel on and after the gel is on, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CUT MY TOES DOWNWARDS into the side of my nail beds in which has made BOTH of big toes have ingrown toe nails on BOTH sides now. Sometimes you get a shitty pedicure and it is what it is. But the fact that they have now changed the way my toenails grow is just not okay. I'm still in pain 6 months + down the line and I think that you should see this review and consider going else where before you spend +$120 on a set and pedicure and spend your money elsewhere that won't forever fuck up your nails. read more

I don't know how come I've never rated my fav nail place on earth. I think because I haven't done my nails in so long I've gotten used to my ugly nails and today I'm reminded how good life is when your nails are beautiful lol. I work in IE, I go to OC all the time, I live in outskirt of LA, but go there all the time, vacation in norcal -- and why do I tell you this? I've been to so many places all over-- and I will no longer go anywhere else. Because I've never been happier than here, and let me tell you why. First of all, the place is nice, great ambiance, precovid I always appreciate the water bottle they offer when you're getting your nails done. Other places have that too, you might think, but wait, there's more..! Second, everyone is very nice. Friendly. Everyone will acknowledge you when you walk in. Someone comes and greet you almost immediately, mostly Tom, even when they are super busy, which I find they always are (more on Tom later!). If you're picky w your nails like I am, make advance appt. Third, availability of colors and services-- I love love love the selection. Always good products I feel, which I think also contributes to better workmanship. Fourth, pricing wise I will say maybe a little more expensive, but not outrageous and is worth every penny. For someone who has difficulty finding time to come get work done on these sloppy claws, coming to a disappointment is the worst. But honestly, I've always walked away extremely happy, and staring at my nails for days. Trust me, I've gone to all the different price point, and you pay for quality of the work and everything they stand for here. Obviously saved the best (2 points) for last about this place. My girl is the best manicurist ever. Perfect filing, and dip powder work best I've ever experienced. She's the reason I cannot find a new place. I've tried going to places closer to work, closer to home, more convenient in other ways, nope, I always come back to her. I love my natural nails because they are the best (self proclaimed, yes lol) but she makes them perfect. Have you ever experienced nail stylist telling you the filing is crooked because your "fingers are crooked"? Or your imperfect dip shape is because "that's just how your nails are"? If you have, just walk away and know that you need to find a new stylist, maybe. Because they may just say that because they don't want to acknowledge they don't have the skills/ or they don't know they don't have the skills/ or they are just lazy. I've never, because my nails are perfect naturally lol, but I've family members who experience this from other stylist. And my girl makes their nails perfect too-- she's a wizard. But, the reason why I never want to find a new nail home is Tom. Owner and perfect manager of a nail salon. He might not be the one doing your nails, though if you're desperate he will hook you up lol. But his attitude and customer service mind I think is what makes this place so unique. I've never leave this place unhappy. Sure, sometimes my nails are not 100%-- because when you get them done every 2-3wks, we all have good and bad days. But the fact that Tom will stand behind their work and will have your nails fixed 100% of the time, you just feel safe investing your time and money here. My sis who never gets nails done ever will come here to do them. My mom who never felt nice nails are important because she spends lots of time in the kitchen, learned to appreciate about one of the best self care experience ever. Me and my other sister who, let's just say we are crazy perfectionist who are just psychos about our nails, just keep coming back. Lol, need I say more? If you haven't yet made your appt, do it today. No, they didn't pay me to write this. I paid them a lot of money to write this lol. I would come here more often if my work pay me more lol. I have heard good things about Sessy and I'm looking for a new nail place. So I called to see if they could accommodate me 1 hr after I called, and the man who answered the phone spoke very clear English and got me in without issue. (Some other nail places, it's hard to communicate on the phone due to heavy accents.) The lady who did my gel manicure was very nice and did a good job. The only thing that I didn't like is the oil massage. She did a standard 5-ish min massage of my hands and arms at the end, and she used oil only. At the end she asked me to wash my hands and I was done. I didn't realize it when I was done how oily my arms were left. It left greasy spots on my center console and I I had to wash my whole arms when I got home. Then I realized prior nail techs have used a combo of oil and lotion, but they always use hot towels to rub down all the excess massage products, and this wasn't done. For this reason, I took off 1 star. I will be returning, but this time I will be asking for hot towel service if too much massage product is left behind. I discovered this nail salon earlier this year when moving to the area. The nail tech recommended SNS dipping since my nails were long. Many regulars come again and again. The nail color selection has to be the most varied and stocked! Especially the SNS powder colors. HOWEVER, in my very last visit I came in and in mid process my nail tech asked when I was due. I was not pregnant. I was wearing a baby doll dress and she just assumed it was polite to ask one of the rudest questions to a woman. It's pretty common knowledge that you should never ask a woman if they are pregnant. I felt so shamed. I was quiet and felt so humiliated I really wanted to get up and cry home. When I got home I actually did change my dress after how awful it felt to be asked that by my nail tech. I have never gone back since. read more

Okay, I waited a while to write this review - mostly because SO many people have had fantastic experiences here so I wanted to be sure it wasn't just me... but I came here three times, and each time was worse than the last. For the purpose of this review I'm going to only discuss my last visit. Though, I feel it should be noted that I brought my daughter here once for just polish and her manicure didn't even last a day before chipping. The first thing you should know is that this place is VERY crowded - so you must make an appointment and even then you might have to wait. The second thing you should know is that they push dip powder (SNS) which the ladies will tell you is healthier for your nails. I asked twice for just gel polish like I do at other places and on each visit the technicians INSISTED that SNS was "better for me." But - look it up - it's the same ingredients as acrylic in powder form and it's all the ingredients of krazy glue. READ: Damaging to your nails and nearly impossible to remove. I've included some photos of my manicure, which speak for themselves - but basically, I received a rushed manicure with uneven surfaces, dead, dry skin around my nails and uneven surfaces underneath my nails. No one trimmed my cuticles, no one shaped my nails and asked me if I was satisfied. At the last visit, I stopped the technician three times to ask her to redo things. She was visibly upset with me and even with the stops and corrections the outcome was awful. I went out of my way to provide cash - because I was told there would be a discount and the woman at the front made me feel awful for paying with a card the first time - and I still had to pay $70.00 for this manicure. The manicure in the picture was done about 6-8 weeks ago and my nails are STILL recovering. Maybe another two months and I'll be back to a normal state. I have normally very strong nails and they are brittle and flaking off. It's quite embarrassing. I wasn't going to share - but I started to think - if I can save other ladies from this type of damage to their nails, I should. Beware. read more

A good friend of mine told me about this place and it easily became my new go-to! I always get a dip mani and this place not only does a quality job, they have the most color options I've seen for dip, and they're also the cheapest I've been able to find for a dip mani! All the things you could ask for. When I get a pedi I usually do gel and they do a great job with that as well. I highly recommend calling to make an appointment, even if it's just the day before, because they are always busy when I go! The staff is friendly and accommodating. I used to live 5 minutes away but I moved to Anaheim and I still keep coming back to this place because they're that great! Well...I took a chance with this one. I was hoping to find a good salon next to home. Sad to say, I had the worst experience here. I never write reviews, but this one has me here.... It's started as soon as I walked in. They have colors at the front desk. I was rushed to choose a color as I looked through the dip colors. In the end I didn't even choose a color. Based on what I told them I was looking for, I was walked to my chair and was given two choices at the chair. When getting the dip done I told the manicurist that I needed tips/extensions since most of my nails were broken. She said they were fine and again I told her I needed them. She asked me to tell her which ones I wanted them on. Call me crazy, but a good attention to detail manicurist would probably see this and make the call. I ended up telling her which ones to put them on. When she finished I asked her if my cuticles would be cleaned up. She said they were fine and after the oil I wouldn't be able to see. I said no, they are really bad and needed them to be cleaned. She grabbed my hands, almost frustrated and started to "clean" them. As I washed my hands I then noticed that my skin was stuck to my nails. Dip and polish was clumped underneath my nails and over the edges. At this point I just wanted to get out of there. Tom noticed me picking at my nails before he rung me up and saw what a mess it was and had her clean them. Well I called it, after being home for a couple hours the oil came off and I can see where she did not "clean" my cuticles. I'm so frustrated that I paid over $70 and it doesn't even look like I went in to go get my nails done. Different lengths, cuticles shot not to mention they didn't have a matching color for my toes. They said they would match for me. My mistake for not taking my glasses to my appointment as soon as I got home I looked down and I see my toes are PEACH and my hands are clear pink! I ended up calling because I couldn't wrap my head around all the chaos just to get a good mani and pedi. Tom apologized and asked to fix them which I appreciate and probably will go fix my toes, but overall the time spent there and having to go back plus feeling rushed and not taken care of is extremely disappointing. I've only ever done a dip manicure here but they have a larger selection of dip colors than I've seen at any other salon. This place is not near where I live, but I will make sure to coordinate an appointment when I'm in the area because I've had better results here than most of my local nail salons. I would rate this a negative 5 star. I've never had such a terrible experience. This has by far been my worst experience getting my nails done. The technician Kim not only cut me but then proceeded to file down my skin where the cuticles are on another nail and then over-cut into my nail beds not on just one finger but 2, on both pinky fingers which now is exposed and hurts like hell. I have to constantly hand sanitize and wash my hands for work and now I have open skin that can easy become infected. I never do reviews but this was so upsetting to the fact that poses a hindrance on my work. All she said is your finger is too wide that's why I cut like that for oval. I understand but you should never cut past the point where the nail grows and cut into the nail bed. She also proceeded to poke at it and I had to tell her to stop several times because she was hurting me. I've never had anyone else cut into my nail bed!
