We love grabbing sandwiches in the grab and go area during lunch, but we had never been here for a sit-down dinner in the dining room. There are 3 dining areas, including a back patio. It was very loud in there due to the tall ceilings, but it was still a cozy and intimate space. Our waiter was really friendly and professional. We ordered 2 cocktails, both of which were okay, nothing special but not bad at all. The food was delicious and very well prepared! We had the salmon and the pork schnitzel, and both were fabulous. Seven High was suggested by some friends of ours, so we decided to give it a try! We are SO glad we did! Open 4-9 Tuesday-Sunday, this little gem is a hit! The ambiance is modern yet casual. The service was amazing. Our waitress made our drinks and recommended that we try the mussels, which we did. They were amazing in the butter garlic sauce, and the bread with it was perfectly toasted. The mussels were huge and succulent. We can't wait to try the option with tomato and sausage! Our entrees were spectacular. I had the steak with a wine reduction that was heavenly. My steak was perfectly cooked and so tender. the fries tasted fresh and delicious with the reduction. My husband had the pork tenderloin, which our friend had recommended. It did not disappoint! The gravy with it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and also went well with the mashed potatoes. The menu is small and focused which is a huge asset. You can tell they are focused on making a few things exceptionally well with fresh ingredients. The price point is what you'd expect for the area and is worth the treat! So good we went twice in two days. Not a huge place, but a great selection of pastries (sweet and savory), salads, sandwiches, and more. My only regret is that we weren't in a position to try the whoopie pie cake in the cooler; I love me some whoopie pie, but with just two of us and traveling, we couldn't possibly have eaten one. It looked delicious though! Caprese Panini - Good size (i.e., not obscene, but enough), good bread, well toasted, and with flavor. I don't know where they get their pesto, but it was tasty! Banana Cookie - Hard to describe, but basically a frosted banana bread cookie. A little bit chewier than a normal cookie, more banana-bread-ish, but in a good way. Great banana flavor to boot. Peanut Butter Cup Cookie - Fine, but a pretty standard peanut putter cookie with peanut butter cup cookie chunks in top. Held up well for a day and a half before I got around to polishing it off. Cranberry White Chocolate Muffin - Really quite good as well. Stayed moist for a good day and a half before I got to it (our eyes were bigger than our stomachs in ordering). Good cranberry flavor, good crumb texture, and just good overall. Breakfast Naan/Flatbread Panini - Not listed on the menu board, but they had three types of breakfast sandwiches out on our second visit, all on naan/flatbread, all toasted to heat them up. The spinach, cheese, and fried egg was a nice meat-free option, and the sausage, cheese, and fried egg was plenty rich to make a breakfast out of. Overall a great option for a quick breakfast, lunch, or a snack if you're passing through the area! Just note that they only have plain coffee, no espresso or fancy beverage options if that's something you require. read more

A relatively new restaurant in Kennebunk with great food and service. We go regularly both for in house and takeout and have never had a bad meal. We highly recommend their Haddock but, even if you feel like a hamburger, it's all excellent. read more

This sandwich shop is a favorite of the locals and for good reason. There food is awesome! I got the north end sandwich and it was great. They also have a small selection of pastries, soups and other food items like lasagna, quesadillas, and pasta salads. Additionally they have wine and charcuterie board fixings so if you need something to bring to a party then definitely stop here. Staff are welcoming but definitely get bogged down during the lunch rush so order early or call ahead. read more

Service was excellent in this very pretty restaurant. It has a downstairs with high tops and lower tables and a bar. The upstairs has a smaller bar and several lower tables. The restaurant, however, is incredibly noisy. The special salad was lovely but missing the promised orange slices. Instead there were a few tiny pieces of orange, not worth mentioning. The eggplant dish was delicious, though, I found the pasta too mushy. I loved my cocktail. The space between the appetizers and the mains was too long. But the bread basket helped satiate our appetite. Their olive oil needs more flavor, but the rolls and focaccia were perfectly warmed up. But the pros overcome the cons. Stopped here on 10/3 for lunch. Service absolutely horrible. Woman acted like we were from mars. We ordered two panini, sandwich was ok - nothing spectacular. We are from Oregon but my husband had a shirt on from Idaho - wondered if that may have offended her - it was very odd - no thank you for our business - seemed irritated that I asked for a glass of water. I discovered Cherries after I had already ordered my pizza from the Kennebunk House of Pizza, so I decided to stop by after my pizza for dessert. There were so many baked goods to choose from and I decided to get the whoopie pie. Two deep and dark cocoa flavored cakes filled with a sweet, white cream. It was amazing! Today may have been my farewell to Cherie's after buying a $12 Turkey club served on dry hard bread heals. I've been a patron for 6 plus years, 1/2x a week & for the most part was always very satisfied but since it changed ownership I've been disappointed on more than 1 occasion. Use to be really good quality but as of recent the prices have gone way up and the quality way down. There are other places to try elsewhere better quality & prices. read more

I LOVE the focaccia at this place, it is freaking amazing! I've enjoyed many of the sweets available at this lovely bistro as well as her great little wine selection. There is food available for you to take home and heat up both in the refrigerated case and in the freezer. A nice olive selection and although small, both indoor and outdoor seating is available. I've yet to have a panini made for me, but I'm looking forward to my next visit already...mmmm focaccia. read more

Cherie's is our go-to local store for buying coffee and desserts. My husband's mood plummets if he can't start the day with coffee made from Carpe Diem's Organic French Roast Blend that Cherie's custom grinds for his French press. Just the aroma is amazing. You want to spend all morning with your nose buried in the bag. And it packs a flavor to match. I've stopped making my own desserts for guests, holidays, and birthdays. There's no need, with Cherie's pies, cakes, and death by chocolate torte on hand. The only hard part is figuring which to choose: 3 berry or pure blueberry pie, maybe cherry cheesecake. They do an amazing job with it all. And we love their scones for Christmas morning. My only gripe: they should introduce more cheesecake flavors and avoid toppings in favor of infused flavors. It's all seasonal, so some offerings come and go, which you want with fresh fruit, and they have a curated set of desserts at holiday time that you can pre-order, which is very convenient. I keep meaning to try their local olive oil. They have a refill-your-own-bottle system, which is cool, and the oil is that deep green that spells pungent goodness. We love supporting such a friendly, talented local business. :) read more
