I was very excited going to try this restaurant, but was vastly disappointed. The service was absolutely terrible. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty when we went, we had to wait very long for a waiter and asked numerous times for coffee, waters, silverware, etc. My mom ordered the blueberry pancakes, but our waiter brought her the wrong food and by the time the waiter gave her the correct meal (which was about 20 minutes later) my dad and I were already done with our food. The service is so poor it ruined the whole restaurant for my parents and me. I got the scramble with hash browns, but my food was cold when I got it and didn't have much taste. The berry dream pancake was good, but very soggy. I was not a fan of the food or the restaurant. It was also incredibly overpriced for the food and the quality. Visited the Seven Mile Café during my little staycation in Keller this past weekend! On our way we saw that the wait was 38 minutes, but we checked in to the line on yelp and by the time we found parking and did a little people watching, it was time to check in with the hostess and we were seated 5 minutes after! It was definitely crowded on a Saturday afternoon! Every table was packed as was the coffee bar-good sign! We started our order with the strawberry lemonade mimosa carafe. It was really good-sweet and sour and of course, bubbly! You can tell it's a popular item-both the carafe and flavor because a lot of tables had one as well! Good value for the price- we each got three glasses out of the carafe! We ordered the Benny Sampler (your choice of two different egg benedicts and choice of side) with the crab cake benny and the avocado benny with a side of the Gouda grits, and the Bowl of Grits (a bowl of smoked Gouda grits with your choice of two meats or two veggies and two eggs any style) with bacon and mushrooms-plus a side of hash browns for the table. Both dishes were solid but could have used more flavor. I really liked the crab cake on the crab cake benny. And the English muffins could have used more toasting. The grits were good texture wise, but they didn't taste liked smoked Gouda. You could tell there was cheese in them but couldn't tell what kind. I really thought the smoked Gouda taste was going to be forward but it wasn't so that was disappointing. Also, our eggs weren't poached. Out of all 4, only one was close the others were pretty much soft boiled eggs. The hash browns were my single favorite item! They were simple yet delicious. Amazing flavor, hot and crispy. I could have eaten a whole entire bowl of the hash browns!!!!! Price wise the dishes were on the high side which I hadn't expected. The benny sampler was $14 and the grits were 13.50. Seems that most entrees run that price. Two things I noticed that I appreciated- there was a whole section of lighter breakfast items, things like oatmeal, smoothie bowls, etc. Awesome! And, for the choices of meats, they had vegan options-like the fake meat stuff and also the healthier meat subs like vegan jackfruit. One half of us is pescatarian, so we appreciated the different options on the menu. Our server was fantastic. She was sweet, checked in on us often without doing too much, and was just all around awesome!!! Overall we had a lovely brunch and enjoyed dining at this local cafe! read more

Pretty good breakfast experience, until the pitcher of water was dumped on my lap. We were sitting at the bar, which also doubled as the storage for the pitchers, and a server bumped one, and down it went. No big deal, and did not affect my rating. Firstly, pretty good coffee. Brewed on the bolder side, which is how we like it. I had the Huevos Ranchero, "Crispy corn tortilla topped with black beans, pulled pork, ranchero sauce, cheese and 2 over easy egg." The pulled pork was interesting, but tasty. Thuy, had The Original Benny, "Canadian bacon and two poached eggs over a toasted english muffin served with hollandaise sauce." To her delight the eggs were properly poached, and the Benedict was quite good. As we finished paying and were ready to leave, we were asked if we wanted a coffee to go. This was a super nice touch and greatly appreciated. Thank you. This will likely become our "go to" breakfast spot, especially when the weather is nice, as there is a cozy seating area outside (on the back, which is really the front). There's lots more on the menu we want to try too. Parking is a bit of a problem at the moment, as a major project is going on (mostly on Lamar St., which will bring a lot of parking when finished). Considering we are huge fans of this restaurant we've been anxiously following the construction process. So my son and I snuck in on opening day. The time they spent to remodel this old building was time well spent. It's very nice inside and the employees very welcoming. I started with one of their signature lattes. Great as always. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and substituted the hash browns for their famously delicious smoked Gouda grits. My son ordered the stuffed French toast. Of course it was all amazing as I expected. If you haven't tried their Gouda grits you are missing out. Every bite melts in your mouth. Hands down some of the best grits I've eaten in my life. My son loved his stuffed French toast. He wasn't sure how he'd like chocolate drizzled on them but said he was very pleasantly surprised. You cannot have a bad experience here. What a wonderful brunch spot! I sampled a vanilla latte, homemade biscuits and gravy, sample platter packag( Banana Nutella, Oreo marshmallow, and granola blueberry), a cinnamon roll, and a simple eggs and bacon plate. This was our first time coming and we plan going back tomorrow for try more. So far everything about this mornings visit was pleasant and tasteful. I have been here twice for brunch recently and each time has been amazing! I highly suggest getting on the waitlist ASAP because it is super busy! For the wait, they have chess and a musical piano thing for little ones. The atmosphere is cozy and service is quick. The portions are huge! The pancakes are bigger than your head! My 8 year old couldnt even eat half. I'm a big eggs Benedict fan and tried the Californian and Southern. Both were scrumptious! I also tried the Cold pressed Zinger which was delicious. The zinger was great for my hangover. The waitress was courteous, but our food took a while to be brought out. The food tasted delicious, and definitely worth the price. I rated it 4 starts due to the wait times and time took for the food to be brought. Overall the service and the food were great. The food here was pretty good, but I agree with others in that the service was a drag. My partner and I came in for a quick Friday morning breakfast. The reservation/NoWait system came in handy, as it was super busy. After getting seated, I wanted to start with a cup of coffee (after all, it was bottomless), but didn't receive it until just before our food arrived. Bummer. Our waitress seemed a little distracted, as our food came to the table lukewarm, as if it had been waiting for a runner for a while. I got the southern Benedict and the portion was generous. Though it was pretty tasty, especially the biscuit, it would have been much better had it been hot. This place is small compared to the sheer volume of folks who come, especially on the weekend. They are swamped. Waited 45min to sit outside which I can understand a wait time but no one even asked if we wanted to order a drink whilst the wait either. Once we sat we waited another 25min at the table to not even get greeted by a server. There were two waitresses for 8 tables and both of them even looked at our table and simply turned away. We saw the other tables that sat after us get their drinks and even their food. It was completely unacceptable and rude especially as this was our first time. I definitely recommend anyone coming here during brunch to call ahead and put your name on the list or you will be waiting for at least 40 minutes to be seated. The coffee is here is the highlight although the chicken and waffles is . The lavender cappuccino was the highlight of the experience for me. My boyfriend and I both ordered it and they asked both times if we wanted lavender vanilla or just lavender? So I assume that must be a signature or very popular. I'll try it out next time!
