Service - we went and checked my elderly mother out of the Rehabilitation Center to take her to breakfast. We joined the weight list with the a wait of 20-30 minutes. Within 10 minutes were next and line and about 5 minutes away. I called the restaurant immediately and was told not to worry, when I arrived to let them know and they would move us back to the top. I checked in and was told it would be a couple of minutes. 20 minutes later we again asked how much longer it would be (my mother had been standing with her walker and was having a difficult time. They eventually got us to a table....by the patio door. It was cold and windy outside and servers were going in and out and wouldn't shut the door. We said to the waitress that is was really cold and she said "yah it's slow closing" and went on her way. It took the table next to us complaining to another staff member before they recognised and offered us another table. There were three of us and it took over an hour to get our food. Stopped by this place on a whim as I wanted some breakfast and I have to say, I am really impressed with this place. Here's the skinny: The decor, the staff and of course the food, were absolutely perfect. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast sandwich, which for some may sound "simple", but this sandwich was amazing. There were about 6-7 items on the menu that I wanted to try, so next time I get a chance to come to Seven Mile Cafe, I will definitely try one of them. Don't take my word for it though. Go get some! Whenever we vacation in This area we really love the 7 Mile Cafe in Keller TX. We were a bit disappointed this visit. There were 3 of us for breakfast. The place was nearly empty which is surprising. Wife had a single pancake and sausage... Daughter had GF pancakes and two Bisquits... I had two eggs Benedict's... one with a Crabcake and one with Salmon and hash browns coffee and drinks. The food was okay. My Crab Cake was far too much breading. Mine was a case where there is actually too many components for it to be tasty. It was just okay... and not very hot. Service was good. The place is very clean. Parking is easy. Our check was over $60. That is too pricey for breakfast! Gonna have to rethink this place for future visits. read more

Went here for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing! Undoubtedly the best and tastiest breakfast spot in the area. My wife & I went with a couple of friends on Saturday a little after 11am, & and it was quite busy. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes so it wasn't too bad. First off, they have a large menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. The place looks small from the outside but is quite roomy and open. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs (did the sunny side up) and it was pretty good. I'd say the fried steak was quite crunchy but was delicious nonetheless. The gravy on top was on point as well. And can't forget the simple yet tasty hash browns. My wife & our friend both got the Migas, which was amazing. Keep in mind, their portions are pretty generous so you won't leave feeling hungry. The Migas had a great taste with the chorizo, tortilla chips, and jalapeños (my wife substituted the black beans with hashbrowns). Lastly, my friend got the Sweet Stuff French Toast and it was so good. I'd probably go back just to have those again, or try out the Strawberry Nutella Waffles. Drinks wise, I had to try the Wake Up Beer, which is a pint of Guinness beer with two shots of espresso. I'm not usually a fan of Guinness as it's very heavy & dark, but it certainly gave me a kick from the previous night's extravaganza! The others all got the Morning Margarita Slush which is made with white wine, limeade, OJ, margarita salt, and some limes. On a hot summer Texas day, this was the much needed refresher. I personally wanted to try this place at least three times before this review. I'd say this breakfast/brunch spot is not always consistent with the quality of their food, but I can't say the food isn't great. I've tried a few items off the lunch menu and salad as well as a variety of their breakfast options. - Grilled Cheese & Pear: This was exactly as it was, a grilled cheese sandwich with a few slices of pear in it. The sourdough bread was good and cheese/pear weren't bad. Can't say it was a very large serving for a sandwich of it's price. It did come with a side (hash browns for me) and a side salad. What was disappointing with this meal was the side salad seemed to have been premade and must've been sitting in a cooler/fridge for some time. The tomatoes and lettuce were obviously wilted and noticeably aged. This was the first meal I had here and definitely one of the worst. - Chicken & Waffles: The waffles here are very good. The chicken that comes with this entrée were basically boneless chicken tenders. The tenders were a bit salty and crispy to the point it almost tasted like they may have left my particular order in the fryer a little too long as their was a bit of a burnt taste to it and was also a bit dry. The tenders were still good, but I would've preferred if they didn't seemingly overcook it. - Pancakes: Okay, this is definitely their redeeming feature. The pancakes are amazing. They're HUGE. A single pancake is more than enough for one adult and its as big as one of their standard sized plates that they serve most of their food on. The house pancake (Standard pancake). I've also ordered their pancake sampler (Worth it). This allows you to choose 3 of their specialty pancakes. I opted to try the cinnamon roll, banana Nutella, and berry bliss. All of the specialty pancakes were equally impressive in size and tasted incredible. PANCAKES are the reason I would come back here. The fruits and toppings on all pancakes were fresh and well made. - Benedicts: All the benedicts were very good. The poached eggs on the bennys were always perfectly cooked and allowed the yolks to run onto the food once you cut into it. The original with Canadian bacon and hollandaise on an English muffin was awesome. The chipotle tofu version was still good and is served on sourdough toast rather than an English muffin. The California benny had good toppings and is served atop a biscuit. The crab cake benny was great too and they definitely used lump crab so you're getting good chunks of meat. Best to note, some of their bennys do not come on English muffins as most would expect from the traditional benedicts. Some will come on sourdough bread or biscuits, which could be a bit heavier than what some would want, especially if you're trying to be a bit healthier when opting for say the garden benny. - Seven Mile Latte: In my opinion, the best coffee option on the menu. Well balanced, not super sweet or overpowering in any way. Just an awesome coffee/latte. This is what you order to drink if you're not there for the mimosas or juice. All in all, there were definitely a few hit and misses here on the menu items, but the service was consistently good. Despite how busy this place gets from breakfast, especially on the weekends, the servers are relatively quick, attentive, and friendly. Be aware that it does get busy here and it should not be at all surprising if you come in and end up with a 30 minute to an hour long wait. Parking can be tricky as they are on an odd strip in old town Keller with limited parking on their particular isle. You may need to find yourself parking off on a side area of the lots or near one of the many other establishments and restaurants that are found within the same locale. This place is worth the visit, mostly for its breakfast. read more

Went on a Friday around 11:00 AM. Parking in that area is always challenging. We found a spot that was a little walk away. There was construction in progress to improve the parking which is a plus. There wasn't a walk way up to the patio area yet, had to walk on a sidewalk of wooden boards. But again the construction was in progress, so I'm sure improvements are coming. It was just me and my daughter and We had about a 20 minute wait. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict which was ok. I had to add some salt and drench with hollandaise. My daughter ordered the French toast with extra powdered sugar. She loved it. I also ordered the seven mile latte which was great. The staff was also very friendly and professional. It's not a large restaurant but it's nicely decorated and clean. I probably wouldn't even try to come on a weekend because it was a 20 minute wait for a party of 2 on a weekday. New favorite breakfast place! I feel like I'm in heaven. They have everything I want in one location. Got a lot to say, but first... let's talk coffee. Most of the breakfast/brunch joints serve plain black coffee with the usual added sugar/cream. Seven Mile serves latte, cappuccino, americano, nutella mocha, chai tea, cold brew, etc. I immediately went for the Seven Mile Latte - smooth and delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness, not too overpowering to induce sensitivity in those dental caries. My boyfriend equally enjoyed his coffee. I loved that the coffee came in cute little mugs with latte artwork. Definitely a mini coffee date before the main course! Ohhhhhhh the strawberry nutella waffle, topped with an abundance of whipped cream, strawberries, pecans, and nutella. If you can handle the sugar, add a drizzle of syrup. My sweet tooth was satisfied this early in the morning. I look forward to trying their specialty pancakes and French toast available with other action packed toppings. We also had the original benny, which was eggs benedict with Canadian bacon & two poached eggs over a toasted English muffin. It comes with yummy hash browns and hollandaise sauce - simply a classic. Arriving around 9amish on a Friday, there was the hustle and bustle of people left and right. The place was packed with people. I can't imagine how the weekend would be like. Service was outstanding! We were immediately greeted and seated. Our server quickly arrived at the table, introduced herself, and got our drinks right off the bat. Getting to this place was a bit tricky as most people will see the back of the restaurant with construction stating road closed on S Main St. We parked across the street and walked over just to realize that there was a parking lot on the side of the building. I'm not a huge coffee person because of the bitterness but this has ice cream and cream on cream, it tastes away the coffee flavoring and it does goes so well to start off the morning! I was very excited going to try this restaurant, but was vastly disappointed. The service was absolutely terrible. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty when we went, we had to wait very long for a waiter and asked numerous times for coffee, waters, silverware, etc. My mom ordered the blueberry pancakes, but our waiter brought her the wrong food and by the time the waiter gave her the correct meal (which was about 20 minutes later) my dad and I were already done with our food. The service is so poor it ruined the whole restaurant for my parents and me. I got the scramble with hash browns, but my food was cold when I got it and didn't have much taste. The berry dream pancake was good, but very soggy. I was not a fan of the food or the restaurant. It was also incredibly overpriced for the food and the quality. Visited the Seven Mile Café during my little staycation in Keller this past weekend! On our way we saw that the wait was 38 minutes, but we checked in to the line on yelp and by the time we found parking and did a little people watching, it was time to check in with the hostess and we were seated 5 minutes after! It was definitely crowded on a Saturday afternoon! Every table was packed as was the coffee bar-good sign! We started our order with the strawberry lemonade mimosa carafe. It was really good-sweet and sour and of course, bubbly! You can tell it's a popular item-both the carafe and flavor because a lot of tables had one as well! Good value for the price- we each got three glasses out of the carafe! We ordered the Benny Sampler (your choice of two different egg benedicts and choice of side) with the crab cake benny and the avocado benny with a side of the Gouda grits, and the Bowl of Grits (a bowl of smoked Gouda grits with your choice of two meats or two veggies and two eggs any style) with bacon and mushrooms-plus a side of hash browns for the table. Both dishes were solid but could have used more flavor. I really liked the crab cake on the crab cake benny. And the English muffins could have used more toasting. The grits were good texture wise, but they didn't taste liked smoked Gouda. You could tell there was cheese in them but couldn't tell what kind. I really thought the smoked Gouda taste was going to be forward but it wasn't so that was disappointing. Also, our eggs weren't poached. Out of all 4, only one was close the others were pretty much soft boiled eggs. The hash browns were my single favorite item! They were simple yet delicious. Amazing flavor, hot and crispy. I could have eaten a whole entire bowl of the hash browns!!!!! Price wise the dishes were on the high side which I hadn't expected. The benny sampler was $14 and the grits were 13.50. Seems that most entrees run that price. Two things I noticed that I appreciated- there was a whole section of lighter breakfast items, things like oatmeal, smoothie bowls, etc. Awesome! And, for the choices of meats, they had vegan options-like the fake meat stuff and also the healthier meat subs like vegan jackfruit. One half of us is pescatarian, so we appreciated the different options on the menu. Our server was fantastic.
