A late breakfast of steak, egg, and bacon with a small salad. The fried cheese crisps added not only a salty balance but a crispy texture balance. The entire plate was well rounded on flavor, texture, and quality. The mango tropical fire was another perfect well rounded balance. Sweet mango, spicy Tabasco, spicy and salty tajin. Plus a little popsicle garnish for dessert. Every visit starts with a friendly greeting and a warm welcome. Attentive and pleasant. Each visit ends with a big smile and a looking forward till the next time. This is a place that realizes quality in food matters. We stopped on spur of the moment lunch. We were seated promptly, though the restaurant was nearly empty. Hostess/server was very polite. Looking at their menu with a variety of Mexican, Latin and middle eastern selections. What really stood out though was their prices. Everything listed seemed to be overpriced. My wife ordered the mini arepas, $14.99. I ordered the Boricuaso Sandwich which consisted of roast pork with swiss cheese and 5 "yucca" fries, $19.99 + 1 coke and water. Total $44.00. The arepas were small with 3 on the plate and were tasty. The Boricuaso sandwich was just ok, not really something I'd order again. 4.8 star rating... hardly. I am being generous giving them 3 stars. The food was not great. I order chicken empanadas and it was very dry. The waitress did explain it just chicken that goes inside but that does not make up for putting what essentially tasted like unseasoned boiled chicken. I also ordered the short ribs which was not short ribs. It was small pieces of steak that were rubbery. I would not come back. The food was a complete miss. Made reservations for their dinner night. Came in about 15 minutes ahead and there was only one table sat. Inside was clean and our server was very nice, directing us to the QR code for the menu. I had the Boricuaso sandwich and husband ordered the 71 beef sandwich. Having the pork belly was a surprise, it was so crunchy with corn cakes and an amazing guacamole sauce. The sandwiches were fresh and warm and well seasoned. We opted for yucca fries over normal fries and we really had a feast. Everything is fresh and worth the try. Will be back for sure read more

I want to like this place so much, but for now I'd give it 3 stars. They have different pastries, coffees, and Spanish entrees. I only had a dulce de leche croissant and I didn't think it was spectacular. The filling was only in the middle and it came out to $10. Just not worth it in my opinion. Paella, pastries, and the best sangria I've had all summer at this brand new adorable bistro. The dishes were stunning and all brought out quick even at the height of lunch hour. Ended up staying to chit chat for another hour and another delicious sangria followed by a Nutella croissant for dessert. Now let me say, I am not someone with low food standards, I can be very picky, and I am not known to eat past the point of being full. But today was a surprising exception, the empanadas were absolutely marvelous. Everything was just fantastic, it was truly a quality meal and it deserves every star. I love the atmosphere abd it's very clean. My food was excellent. They have a multi-cultural take on breakfast, which is a nice departure from the traditional American breakfast. They have a wonderful variety of coffees and croissants. I had the Venezuelan breakfast and it was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to trying their lunch menu. We went there as a meet up spot while our family was slowly arriving at the nearby airport. Immediately upon arriving we were greeted by everyone working there. They were incredibly friendly and beyond accommodating the entire time we were there. We even had someone who wasn't feeling well and the waiter, Mustafa, was so sweet, making her tea, continuing to check on her. I am the vegan of the group. Mustafa was patient and made sure to see what all my options were. I got the empanadas and the arepas. Both were so good! The rest of the group enjoyed their food and delicious drinks also. Service was excellent! All of the seafood on the paella was way overdone and rubbery. Rice was flavorful. Ossobucco was not tender at all and almost seemed reheated by the way the meat curved up. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts were good. read more

The good stuff. The service was great. Friendly and attentive. The Bistro looks amazing inside plenty of space, beautifully designed, and very welcoming. The pastries were delicious and the coffee was fantastic. I would come through for those anytime. Let's talk about the food. I ordered the Paella. A loaded dish that has seafood on a bed of rice. This is where my disappointment comes in. The rice did not have much flavor. Mussels, clams, shrimp, and crab I think? Seafood did not taste fresh, seemed as if it was frozen. The crab was very much reminiscent of imitation crab. At a $31 this dish should be on point not disappoint. We also ordered a Quesadilla. I understand the base is Cheese and a flour Tortilla but this is a bistro and it should be elevated. Let's add some Mexican oregano, a little garlic powder, and throw some cotija cheese on the outside sear it into the tortilla. Very bland and basic. In all honesty will be returning because the pastry's are fantastic as is the coffee. I hope that they work on the quality of their food. read more

UNEXPECTED!!! My wife and I are reasonably knowledgeable of middle east and mezo-American foods, and expected the usual compromises. NOT! Hummus is the barometer in many Jerusalem cafes; I've had it there, in Dhahran, Tehran, Haifa, London, and many US places. The hummus here is absolutely top tier, and with luxury touches. Birria is important in judging cafes in Mexico and south, because getting it right is a complex and time-consuming process. It was beef (I prefer goat), but as good as any I've had. We also tried the papas rellenas (potatoes stuffed with beef, then fried) from the food truck out back, which were delicious, and took home pistachio baklava made by Mustafa - the owner. The beer was cold, the environment a pleasure, and the staff welcoming. A delicious lunch with... NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!! VENUE - delightful. clean, bright, inviting SERVICE - staff is still learning, but eager to please FOOD - wonderful, so far MENU - surprises galore (osso buco, paella, ceviche, deluxe burgers, much more!) There's a counterful of beautiful patisserie pastry (from the 4th arrondissement, perhaps), but we were too full to try it. Next time. On this particular day they seemingly were understaffed, but Gelal being the only server on the floor did an incredible job taking care of the 27 customers including ourselves.
