Where to start? One of our 10 year old Great Danes collapsed in our front yard when on his way out for his walk, two weeks ago. He was lame in one rear leg from a previous surgery, had lost weight and was in end stage heart failure we later found out. Dr. Dinny and his wonderfully compassionate staff helped us on that awful day. We had recently moved to this area and cannot state strongly enough how grateful we are that we contacted this vet's office. Our call was answered by Brandy who right away helped us in the most kind and genuine manner. Her professionalism was followed by Tony and to say he went the extra mile is a true understatement! Wow, what a heart for animals and their owners he has. Then we met Dr. Dinny! Tallinn, our lovely and massive Great Dane had a sister from the same litter, they had never been apart. Dr. Dinny informed us that with two siblings that share such a great bond there can be trauma when one of them just 'disappears' and the remaining one can pine dreadfully. He suggested bringing Tuscany to the vets so she could see Tallinn for herself and then would understand and not grieve nearly as long. We did! Our little Miss Tuscany spent about two days grieving and then picked up her bone and toys and started playing. We firmly believe this is the reason she has handled it so much better than we did. We are eternally grateful to this fabulous staff and highly recommend you consider them for all of your animal's needs, you won't find more compassion, knowledge and professionalism anywhere else! dr was nice But then start getting Bills weeks after the procedure abd stating I didnt pay. BUT I have proof from bank and Signature on back of the check!!! got all the payment info from bank and check signature at Sevier count animal clinic. Was on phone after being on hold for 45 minutes to get their email address. to send proof, She gave it email and as still on phone sent it she received and said can u hold again. I've been coming here for nearly ten years with my large pack of animals. The two doctors that we always see (Dr Snow and Dr Darden) are literally a couple of the nicest human beings ever. They have been with me through every up and down, helping me give the best care to all my rescues, there for me during the times we have had to lay some of my animals to rest. The empathy, knowledge and kindness is unmatched. There is also a lady at the front desk named Sherry who I feel deserves a special shout out for being incredibly professional and empathetic. She knows what she is doing. The prices are extremely reasonable and cheaper than any other place in the area. I love this place so much on many levels! read more

If I had an option for 0 stars that would be my selection. They are giving out animals with kennel cough which is highly contagious so be really careful adopting an animal here. Office staff was extremely rude when I called to ask them about this issue and since I was recording the call she hung up on me. So what is she hiding????? My neighbor got a dog there and brought it to my home to my 14 year old beagle. Had to take him to the vet and the kennel cough turned in to bronchitis/pneumonia which was a $500 vet bill. They need to be honest and educate the people adopting the animal about this sickness. Again I would definitely not recommend this clinic for adoption. read more

most of the staff at Sevier county animal clinic are great. I love Jenny and she is the only vet besides Dinny the owner that I will let touch my dogs. they are always willing to see my babies during an emergency and make time if they don't have it on the schedule. I transferred from parkway to here because parkway couldn't or wouldn't get me in when I had emergencies. the male vet tech (sorry don't know his name) is absolutely wonderful. he talks to you and makes you feel at ease. this is the best place to take your pets. I won't take mine anywhere else unless absolutely necessary in the night when they aren't open. great job everyone. thank you for taking such good care of my babies. read more

I went to this veterinarian for about 4 1/2 years. The last time I took my dog there was too bizarre. She was getting a nail clipping after getting vaccinated. Apparently my dog had to poop. I heard what was the person clipping her nails say "she started to shit", then the guy in the back comes out of the back with my dog. He was in a hurry. He gave me the leash and ran off. I had to run my dog out to finish crapping. I find that behavior unacceptable! So immature! Very unprofessional! Worked out great for me. The Vet I ended up going to next, was able to clear the same dogs skin issue. read more

Took my cat to them .... they kept him 2 nights and supposedly fixed him up enough for us to take him home and give him water therapy .... I have called today with him being lethargic... not eating and peeing on him self ... the rude receptionist said they have 2 emergencies and can't see my cat until tomorrow.... I don't think he will make it through the night honestly... they told us there was nothing wrong FB with his leg .... clearly they missed this $1100. For nothing ! read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I recently took my dog here. She was in seemingly decent health, but she was coughing a bit, causing a little concern. I was informed she had an enlarged heart and a thyroid problem, but that it wasn't a "big issue." She was given 3 different medications to deal with those issues, and by week 2 or 3 of taking the medication, my pup's health went down hard and fast. I took her back, and they let me know she was now in kidney failure, which could result in her death fairly quickly. I've spent nearly $1,500 here in the past month, and my dog is still in terrible health. She can barely eat or walk, let alone near any sense of normalcy for her before our first vet visit. She is now on antibiotics, but she required a few visits solely for bloodwork to monitor her levels. Her most recent visit was last night. We were supposed to find out if she is actually getting any better, but since she was taken to the vet in the evening, I was told that the vet would call me in the morning with the results and plans going forward. By 11am, I heard nothing, so I called. I was told the doctor was busy, and she would call me around noon time. By 5pm, still no word. My husband calls to get an update, where he was told he'd have to wait on hold for an hour or get a call back. At 6pm, he calls back and he is informed that the vet had already left for the day, showing no intention of calling us that day. I understand places get busy, but if you run a place like this, either take fewer patients or do what needs to be done to ensure your patients, both human and animal, are a priority. I felt at this time, we were getting the runaround, and I lost faith that this clinic was actually giving the time and care my dog needed at this critical time. I made the decision to find a new vet. I called right after my husband hung up to inquire about getting my dog's records, so that I can take her somewhere else. All I needed to know was if I had to come in person to pick them up or if they could fax them to a new vet. When I called to inquire about this, I did inform the tech who answered that I thought that was unprofessional; I had been sitting worried all day waiting on an assured call that never came. I was told, "the vet was busy today." To me, this is not, and will never be a valid "excuse." This wasn't a simple test that had no impact; this test was going to let me know (in my mind) if my dog was going to live or not. I told the tech on the phone, "I work and understand busy too, but I've been waiting all day for a 3-minute phone call. That's not ok." She tried to talk over me, clearly agitated at her career choices and having to be there talking to me. I told her I just needed to know about the records. I was then told I was more than welcome to take my dog somewhere else. I let her know I wasn't asking permission to seek care for my dog, just that I needed the records, so my next vet can know what's been done already. At this time, the vet tech decided the best action would be to hang up on me, never answering my question. I called immediately back. A lady answered, and I said I wasn't sure if she was who just hung up on me, but that I needed to know how to get my dog's records. She let me know that it was NOT her I just spoke with, so I asked her for the lady's name. I was told, "I don't really see the point of that." I let her know I wanted to make a complaint about the previous lady's interaction with a customer, and was then told, "Ok, I'm not going to give that to you, so..." In all fairness, she did answer my question, but it seemed weird she wouldn't give her coworker's name. If you want you AND your pet to be treated with compassion and care, please take your pets somewhere else. There was never any empathy for me or my dog, we heard no apologies, only excuses. And if the owner sees this, I do have my calls recorded and will gladly share that if it even concerns you. I deduce by talking with the second lady on the phone that the employees at this location will cover for one another in their ineptness and extremely poor customer service. Please do better for the customers and pets that continue to patronize this business. read more

I wish I could give a more negative rating than 1 star. I have NEVER seen a more chaotic, unprofessional, and dishonest place. We took our dog to have a check up after spending the night at the emergency vet. 1: They lost my dogs chart. 2: They lost my DOG. 3: They do not communicate with their clients at all. When we were finally given our dog back, the technician had no idea what his diagnosis was, or how we needed to proceed with treatment. When we requested his charts and records, we had to call 4 times and eventually drive there and demand them. Please DO NOT trust them with your pets. read more

Took my bird there to get her nails and break trimmed like we do every few months, we decided when we first got her to not clip our birds wings. They clipped her wings without asking, when she got scared and attempted to fly they grabbed her out of the air which ripped her tail feathers out. If you have a pet bird DO NOT take them here. We were offered a discount on our next service, but there wont be a next service. She wont even play with her toys or anything now, I'm worried she will become depressed and start to pluck which cam kill her. If you care about your animals take them elsewhere. read more

They were booked and I pleaded to at least have someone look at it. I was treated so rudely and hung up on by the lady who answered the phones. I cannot believe this place is in business. I was on vacation with my service dog the week of May 17, 2020. My medical alert service dog got very sick, very quickly. I was sitting in the parking lot of the Pigeon Forge Animal Clinic well before the time they opened. This was the closest animal clinic to the cabin I was staying in. When Dr. Bob arrived, he himself very rudely told us that he was "booked up and too busy" to see my service dog. We were scared and devastated! We were fortunate enough in our time of need to find the number to Sevier County Animal Clinic, who told me to bring him in immediately. Dr. Snow did x-rays and bloodwork and called me (due to Covid-19, we had to wait in the car) and told me that he was extremely dehydrated and needed to stay to receive fluids and antibiotics. Thank God for Sevier County Animal Clinic! My service dog could have died because "Dr. Bob" in Pigeon Forge was "too busy" to see a dog that wasn't an established patient. Vacationers' animals sometimes need help, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SEVIER COUNTY ANIMAL CLINIC!!! read more

I just moved to the area a month ago and started taking my 12 year old Dachshund here thanks to a referral. I have had nothing but good experiences so far, and I've been there a lot due to a chronic condition. They are very accommodating, friendly and seem to genuinely care. I'm one of those dog mom's that could be labeled "crazy", but they never treat me that way and answer all my questions with respect and knowledge. If I call with a question or concern, I get a call back. Not something I'm used to with the last place I was going. From the front desk all the way up to the doctors, everyone is great! It was very cold and mean. We had to take our dog there knowing he was old and would probably not live much longer. We ask that they just check him out to make sure it wasn't something we could do. Vet was very nice staff very cold. Of course we wished we had unlimited funds to help him but at this point we only had $200 several times we told them this and several times they said what they could do under $200 at the end it cost well over $200 and as we stated when we arrive we didn't believe there was anything that could be done which is what they told us in the end. made a call to ask about any available cats/kittens for adoption, and spoke to a very nice employee who said they had two cats (although they don't normally) for adoption and explained all the details about them and said i could come the next day to check them out. next day i made a phone call again to schedule a time to come, and spoke to a "manager" who was EXTREMELY rude and refused to even leave her counter to check. made three separate phone calls asking and she changed her story each time and refused to even check for the cats and kept saying "well to MY knowledge we don't have any" instead of actually asking and finding out. she had an attitude and tried to tell me i was wrong for calling about cats, when the lady from the day before was so kind and helpful. i always brought my pets here to be checked after but if THAT is the type of manager you have running this place you've officially lost my and my family's business. to make matters worse, i asked for her supervisors phone number because she was being RUDE and unhelpful, and she refused to give it to me. worst pet experience i've ever had and i'm EXTREMELY disappointed that you would have someone like that in a manager position. read more

Our GoldenDoodle ate a bag of Chocolate chips that were left out in our daughter's room while we were out for the evening. When we returned home, we noticed he wasn't feeling well, then started vomiting several times. At this point we didn't realize how serious it was. We learned that chocolate to dogs can be fatal. At 2:30am we decided things were not good. We found an emergency vet clinic in Knoxville that was open 24/7. At 7:15am they came out and said they needed $1300 right now to continue treatment and it would be up to $2600. We love our dog, he's part of the family, but we didn't have that kind of money to spend. We were happy that this clinic was available, but just didn't get a "good vibe". Were they in it for the money, not sure. After returning home, we called Sevier Co. Animal Clinic to see if there was anything else we should do. We spoke with Katie, who was great. You could tell she was truly concerned for our dog. She was limited to what she could say without seeing him, but suggested we call the other clinic to ask a couple of questions. She then told us to call her right back to see what they said. Katie said she didn't want to second guess what the other clinic had told us, which was understandable. We followed up with the other clinic, then called Katie back. She confirmed what we were told, but added if we needed ANYTHING to bring our dog in. Bottom line, Thank you Katie, and Sevier Co.
