This is the original pattern piece on the right and my corrected pattern piece on the left

I connected with Yena just before the Covid issues. I had her and her partner sew all of my products which included patterns. I also had her grade the patterns for me. I paid someone for tech packs and had to get a second person to grade them into PDFs for me. Then I paid someone to print the graded patterns. I recently spent hours cutting the graded patterns and am now attempting to sew them. However I have found issues with every single style and have had to spend hours determining what needed to be corrected with each style and making the pattern corrections which means every penny I spent for everything else was wasted. I am very upset that every single style pattern is wrong which means every single size is wrong too.

LOVE LOVE LOVED my experience at Sew FYI!! Abbey (instructor) literally has the patience of a whole saint!!! She also wouldn't allow us to be hard on ourselves and I appreciate her for that. I didn't expect to make something at my FIRST class, but we did! A tote! I will be back!!

Attended the intro to home sewing machine class. I had a lot of fun! The instructor Megan was a great teacher. We made a tote bag that was super cute. I now feel much more comfortable in front of a sewing machine :)

I LOVE this studio. I started taking classes last year and I feel like I have learned so much! I took the beginner series which allowed me to learn about using a home sewing machine and serger, and then a bit about pattern making. I have been able to make throw pillows, bucket hats, bags, and more. Most recently, I took the T-shirt workshop and I learned how to make my own t-shirt, including how to alter the pattern! It was so fun. The staff is always incredible and so helpful. Jess has been my teacher for a few workshops and always provides great feedback and helps me learn about techniques specific to what I want to do with the project. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will have so much fun!

I had the best time taking the Intro to Home Sewing Machine class with Megan! She is knowledgeable, patient and took moments to personally assist every student when needed without slowing the pace of the class. I recommend for beginners or even people with small experience that are looking to get more detailed teaching and honestly just a confidence boost that you can do it. By the end of class we put together the cutest tote bag that we were able to take home. I can't wait to come back and take another class here!

We took an intro to sewing class and had a BLAST!!! Jessica was our instructor and she was just wonderful. We had such a good time, made adorable bags, and learned how to start sewing with sewing machines. The class was organized, timely, and easy to learn from! Love the class- even signed up for more! Highly recommend!

Really educational and fun class. I've always wanted to learn how to sew. Learning can be daunting at first but the instructor, Megan, was really helpful and made the learning fun!

I hadn't touched a sewing machine in 20 years (and honestly I wasn't ever very good at it) but I really wanted to alter my clothes to fit better and make stuff I saw on Pinterest, so I took the intro to home sewing class and the intro to serger class (so I could sew stretchy fabric) and I completely fell in love with sewing! I've taken a bunch of classes since then with Megan and Jessica and they are fantastic teachers, always happy to explain and re-explain things, and they're really supportive of whatever journey someone wants to take with their sewing. All of the group classes have been really fun and they have a great community feeling to them. Everyone is really nice and encouraging :) The alterations class was awesome cause I got to bring in a pair of jeans I've had for a while that didn't quite fit right, and got learn how to diagnose the problem and fix it. Pattern making 1 & 2 I learned how to use my own body measurements to make a skirt that fits perfectly and then use those measurements to change the skirt design (like pencil skirt v.s. long flowy skirt or whatever you can think of really). But most of all I loved the 1 on 1 personal classes! I brought in a pattern for a bomber jacket that was WAY too hard for me to do by myself and Megan and Jessica taught me how to read/understand the pattern, how to properly prepare my fabrics, and then of course basically held my hand through every technique (zippers, pockets, piping, pattern alterations...etc). It turned out so well and I am IN LOVE with my new one-of-a-kind bomber jacket! tldr: came for the basics, stayed for the awesome community

This place is amazing!! I learned how to saw in 2.5 hours, made a tote bag and the instructor Megan was so nice and patient. Definitely makes you love to come back and keep going.

I took the Intro to Sewing class with Megan and it was amazing. It's super beginner friendly and you leave with a tote bag completely finished. I definitely recommend this class and I have already purchased a package so I can keep coming back. The studio is clean with bright lights.

    Complete project! Tote bag

To add to this, we needed to be buzzed in so we could enter the premise. Once we were inside, the ambiance changed completely and there were a couple of IG worthy spots to take pictures while checking in. We opted for the spinning art experience since my daughter is too young to partake in the more elaborate ones. Originally, we booked for 4 people but one person got sick so we asked if we could transfer the funds for that person for another experience since there are no refunds. Luckily, was able to contact them the day before and added the bunny paint pour over experience. Ozzie was our guide and he was super kind and gentle with my daughter. We were instructed to pick 5 colors and then we donned our plastic bootie covers, apron and gloves. We entered our designated art room and was blown away by all the colors on the wall. There was even a tire swing which my daughter was all about. The spinning art experience was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing my daughter embrace the paint. I think her favorite part was when she had free rein to paint all over the walls. Overall, we had a great time. Only down side is that it does go by super quick and is quite an expensive experience for one hour. However, we get to have a treasured memento which is ready for pick up about 5 days afterwards and we did have a great time. That being said, #noragrats!

There is an adorable shop up front of perfectly curated fabrics, sewing accessories, projects, and small treasures while the mid area of the space opens into a creative shared table area. If you venture past the rainbow quilts all the way to the back you will find a treasure trove of Juki sewing machines, set to host a group of new to advanced sewers along with a large table area in the back for a variety of craft projects. My children are in 1st and 4th grade and enjoyed the 2 part Crochet class. When it was a bit difficult for my younger one, Debbie scaffolded the entire thing and made it possible for her to learn, feel successful, and feel like part of the group. We have also tried the finger knitting blanket class and now my 4th grader can make gorgeous blankets for friends and family. The sewing classes for 8+ are incredible. My eldest has loved going in to learn how to make tote bags, pillow cases, and a variety of other sewing projects. They also have camps, which we are eager to try someday. Most recently we hosted a very special birthday party here and I can share that it was incredible, lovely, and probably the most present I've ever been able to be at one of my kid's birthday parties, considering Debbie took on most of the labor! 11 children made pillows together, along with adorable rainbow keychains and they really had a blast. I was so impressed to see my little one sewing away on the machine with her dad next to her and the older kids jump right in. Many of them made 2-3 little pillows, even though they had never sewn before! Debbie's instruction is clear, easy to follow, and she has a great deal of patience while sharing how to create these masterpieces. It was really nice having mochi ice cream in the middle table area too- Debbie had everything needed for a party in case things were forgotten. The little fridge helped too! It was very reasonably priced and an unforgettable experience for the kids. We hope Meraki will be on this cute corner for many years to come!
