On my way home I noticed the time and thought I would pop in to ask for an estimate appointment. I entered the office to owner Joe & told him what I would be requesting. Joe kindly suggested we step outside and estimate the damage. I showed him the few small defects; he noted that the headlight placement had been damaged and that likely all repairs would be roughly $2100. I asked if they did loaner cars during the repair? They do not, but if it's the other persons insurance they should allow a rental car. I discussed the "Selected Service Shops" the insurance had suggested. He stated that those places are usually commission based and that Wayne-Val is just him, his wife & brother-in-law compared to larger shops that are 20+ associates. I feel confident in leaving my vehicle w Wayne-Val and will do another yelp/update this one once I have actually had my vehicle repaired. I appreciated that Joe quoted me a realistic 19 February as what I'd be looking at for a service date. I mostly appreciated that Joe told me some of the questions that the insurance may ask, such as: do I approve used parts? He said I don't have to say yes and he wouldn't recommend used parts and it could only save insurance a couple hundred dollars. I sent pictures, and brand model, through emails and schedule to come out today. When we arrived there they look at it for 3 mins and then tell us to go to another buddy's wielding place instead.... 16mins away.... He called his buddy wielding place and personal phone was not answering. I took my boat here because I hope these "boat expert" to finish the Job but nope. Joke aside but They probably very good at repairing other things about boat but not wielding boat cracks. I felt lied to and disappointed. It took about 2 days exchanging messages and pictures. I to drove 45 mins to get there with crazy rush hour and Driving back home with rush again. Waste my time here. Just go to a local wielding place. If you reading this review I hope this helps.

When I paid, it was $20 higher than the quote, and they hadn't added in the tax. The total bill at "dealer cost" was the UHaul price. The install without electrical took almost 3 hours; it makes me wonder if they just took it to UHaul. It wasn't a complicated job and I should have just gone to UHaul myself; it was closer to home and the total experience would have been less time. Lesson learned. UPDATE: I called John P. about his reply. When I made the original appointment Ryan wrote down one number of the VIN wrong. We corrected it the next day, but he forgot to give the correct VIN to whomever ordered parts. He was pleasant and fully admitted his mistake and offered me to do the work at the dealership cost. While I was really frustrated about a second trip, I liked how Ryan was a stand-up guy and owned the mistake and made amends, so I went back. John hadn't investigated any of this but I did like that he mentioned they took off the exhaust because the car was louder than normal. John turned me over to Deano and he offered to send a runner to my house to pick up the car and look at it. That solved my two issues; driving distance and time. They dropped the car back off a couple of hours later and it was back to it's normal sound level. Deano called and said they found the heat shield bolts in the front of the car were rusted and coming apart. They wired it up the best they could. I'm guessing either by putting the car on the lift or messing with the exhaust was all it needed to loosen the heat shields. Kudos to Ryan and Deano. I still feel this was a high end shop doing a simple job; it looks like they do a lot of body and electrical work. Felt like I was going to a plastic surgeon to have my nails painted.

The weather stripping installed on the door/window was installed incorrectly. Looks like a 2 year old put it on. The scratches weren't even buffed out. At the bare minimum, this should have been done. It shows they take no pride in their work or final product, in my opinion. Which, when I addressed this with the shop manager he told me that it wasn't part of the accident because it came to the shop like that??? Ummmm, yep it did, it was in an accident! They didn't put all of the hardware back in the door upon installation. This is all just part of what brought me to my insurance company to fix this mess. It has been over a month now, and after being told I would hear back from the shop manager to set up a date to fix these issues, I have heard nothing! I have called twice, and he has been unavailable each time. At this point, my family can not trust them to fix this mess, if this was the product of them on a good day! They take pictures, they decide what damage is being fixed and what is considered accident, even after I showed them the entire accident area. This is a nightmare. Not recommended, I will never go here again. I just wanted my newer vehicle brought back to the condition before the accident. That's after all what my insurance is for. This isn't even 1 star work. It deserves not on ounce more of my time or my energy.
