WARNING: get all quotes in writing and DO NOT trust anything that they say. I found out the hard way. Was recommended by a friend for a second opinion. The doctor herself and her payment person both agreed in front of everyone in her office to do work on me for half of the price. I told her I would pay cash for it and it sounded amazing! My mistake was not getting it in writing. They did less than half of the work and asked for ALL the money. I paid expecting they would finish all they said. They said NO they can't do it for that price after all and it would double!! When I called them out on it they said they wouldn't keep their word! Straight liars! Been going to Dr. Barsamian for many years and she has always been super nice, very professional, and so skilled. The one thing I really love is that she has all the newest equipment to help with diagnosis and treatment, so there's never any guessing or error. Her in-your-mouth cameras are the most impressive to me, I was just there and she took video and pictures of my small cavities before and after they were filled so I could see everything. That way I know what is actually wrong with my teeth and can see the results of the work that was done. I even took pictures off the computer screen with my phone so I could show my husband and he was very impressed. As a follow up and update to my previous review, I wanted to add that I returned to my original dentist and paid out of pocket for an exam and cleaning. I had ZERO cavities and an excellent, oral health check up. This was a couple of weeks after Dr. Barsamian stated I had a cavity on every other tooth in the top first half of my mouth. I stand by my original review, and add that I find Dr. Barsamian to be unprofessional and unethical. I can't say enough how grateful I am to have found Dr. Barsamian. I had been seeing another dentist in Long Beach for over 15 years, but recognizing he was going to retire soon and wanting someone close to home, I began looking for a new dentist. Thankfully, I found Dr. Barsamian. Her office is clean, her staff is kind, the cost is reasonable, and she's committed to using the latest technology. She found nine (yes, nine) cavities or teeth with decay that my previous dentist had never mentioned in my 15+ years there, including the need to replace metal fillings that were over 30 years old. Not only did she carefully explain everything she found, she took detailed photographs and walked me through every image. Not once did I feel like she was trying to get work or money out of me, and I didn't see the need to get a second opinion because she had actual photographs of my mouth. Turns out, many of these cavities were worse than expected, and my tooth under the decades-old metal filling was actually black. I'd have never known and may have possibly lost multiple teeth had she not identified these issues. The cost of my nine fillings has been significantly lower than I ever expected. Just brought my girls in for their first time at a non pediatric dentist. So happy I brought them here! Their pediatric dentist had missed so many cavities! Dr. Barsamian uses a camera in the mouth and I was able to visually see the cavities they have! The office is super clean and the front and back office are so friendly and great with my girls! The assistants in the back office were gentle and very informative on how the girls can be brushing and flossing better. The front office is very accommodating for our busy schedules and we're able to give me an appt to come back that's not weeks out! Dr. Barsamians office is the best! Just got my molar pulled, the very last one in the back. Dr. Barsamian was incredibly fast (20 min in and out), strategic with the anesthetic (I didn't feel a thing but could still smile and talk), and informative. Not feeling any kind of pain 7 hours post, so she is an incredible doctor! She is very kind and gives good vibes and always clear and teaching the other ladies in the office. As far as I saw in the few appointments I've had in this office, it is all women doctors and nurses, which is reassuring. I couldn't recommend her more, 6/5 stars if I could! read more

She is very expensive and every time I go there I end up needing crowns. Please get second opinion. My daughter went there and they refused to clean her teeth. They told her she needed all this work done so she is seeking second opinion. I witnessed what was probably an 80 year old patient who was shocked when she had to pay $300 plus dollars for work she had done on a crown. They gave her all porcelain. At her age they could have offered her a regular crown. I felt sorry for her as she probably couldn't really afford the additional cost for all porcelain. I have a tooth she is keeping an eye on and I'm sure next time she will tell me I need another crown. One of the hygienist there is so painful when she cleans your teeth. For many years, my husband, our two kids, and I have been loyal patients at this dental office. While the dentist was always friendly, I couldn't shake a uneasy feeling about her suggestions. Last February, during my routine check-up, she claimed I needed two root canals and four crowns. I trusted my instincts and chose not to go through with the treatment. Recently, I decided to get a second opinion, and the new dentist informed me that I only needed two fillings and one crown. She also revealed that my daughter needed seven fillings. We proceeded with four of those, and after visiting the new dentist, her teeth looked absolutely perfect! I can't tell you a single visit I have made here where I spent more than a minute in the waiting room after arriving. Nowadays, even with appointments, doctors can have you waiting 20-30 minutes in an uncomfortable waiting room, and it is SO refreshing that they take care with their scheduling so as not to cause too much overflow. I myself can be very nervous with dentists, and have been to several where I have been treated gruffly and roughly. Here, they treat you kindly, with respect, and walk you through the process as they go so that you don't feel taken advantage of. After changing dentists many times, I finally found an office that truly cares from word of mouth. I had such a great experience here and I believe it is worth the drive from Murrieta, CA. As soon as I walked up the stairs to enter the office, I was greeted with warm and welcoming smiles from all the staff. This set the tone as it gave me a great first impression and it really encouraged me to give this place a try. At first glance, I also noticed how clean this clinic is. Shortly after my consultation and tour of the facility, I scheduled my appointment with Dawn at the front. She was very knowledgeable and answered any of my questions regarding coverage with PPO insurance. This was great because it made me feel confident that I will be taken care of clinically and financially through my insurance. It really eliminated my worries and motivated me to come to the dentist biannually. Moving forward to my next visit, I met with Iris. I believe she is one of the dental assistants at this office. She took me into the X-Ray room and she helped eased my anxiety by talking about relatable hobbies that I do in my free time. After she quickly took the X-Rays, Dr. Barsamian came in with a big smile. She then proceeded with an advanced camera that allowed me to see my teeth on the screen. I truly enjoyed experiencing the new technology they had to offer followed by thorough explanations of my oral health or teeth structures. She also answered any questions and explained any possible treatments I would have to go through in the future. Based on this, I can tell that Dr. Barsamian is very passionate about her career and that she delivers compassionate care. I appreciated how Dr. Barsamian observed my case confidently and did not treat it like a chore like many other offices I have been to. Next, I met with a Hygienist because I was scheduled for deep cleaning. I believe her name was Michelle. At this point, I was nervous because she told me that they were going to have to numb me. However, I DID NOT feel a thing! Michelle was not only very light on her hands, but she was VERY informative. Unlike other offices that do my cleaning, she explained how important it was not to brush hard, the effects of brushing hard, the meaning behind gum pockets, and the reasoning behind my gum lines bleeding. What I respected the most about her was how thorough her cleanings were and her transparency with the recommendations she had for placing antibiotics on my gums. Although I needed it and I ended up getting it, I really appreciated how she told me the price and did not force me to buy it. At the end of my visit, she walked me to the front to complete my appointment and schedule the next. As I said, this place is WORTH the drive! I will continue to recommend my friends and family because of the compassionate care that they delivered. I am confident that my next visit for fillings will go smoothly with Dr. Barsamian and her team.
