I'm highly disappointed in the service of this establishment . I have been going to this restaurant since I was a youngster and over the years it has definitely declined. Today was the worst experience ever. 1st off the new owner or lady who took the orders is extremely rude and disrespectful. While taking my order she answered her personal phone and talked to her son for 10 mins right as I'm speaking. 2nd she didn't let me complete my order as she proceeds to give me my total with out letting me finish my order. Then she repeats my order back to me with an attitude and I ordered egg rolls as well she wanted to charge me .50 for the sweet and sour sauce. I wanted to add extra meat to my combination fried rice in the past I usually get a $1- or $2 extra with meat with my meal she proceeds to tell me there is a new minimum of $3-$5 dollars ONLY. When the order was finished she slammed my bag on the counter and just walked off so out of line. I've never had this type of service from this restaurant until now. I would not recommend and she needs to be trained on customer service because i regret spending a dime in this place with that type of service inexcusable !! read more

First, as others have noted, it's primarily takeout. So there's nothing fancy going on here. That said, this has become one of my wife's favorite lunch spots. She literally eats here 2-3 times a week. Her go to dish is the chicken with broccoli. And for a good reason... it's good. I've had it several times myself. Some of the more noteworthy dishes include the Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. One distinctive dish is the Dan Dan noodles. A very different dish, with a peanut sauce instead of the usual brown asian sauces. I will admit that for my personal palate, the sauce was a little too much peanutty, but that could just be me. Most dishes are served with a couple scoops of either fried or steamed rice. Portions are generous to the point of almost too much. Egg rolls are pretty standard, but their dumplings, especially the pan fried ones, are quite good. Overall, a great place for Chinese takeout. Really great food and a vast menu. The drive-thru moves at a decent pace but best thing about this place is the portions are plentiful and the price is unbeatable. This is what I hit on the way home when nobody feels like cooking. Would have given a much higher rating but the smell inside makes dine-in a no-go unless you have a really bad sinus cold. Went thru the drive thru. ordered regular broccoli beef with rice noodles instead of rice. no problem. get to the window and handed him 2 fives which was enough for the meal with change due. then he said it was over ten dollars because he chose to give me the large order. OK fine, so I did not have 2 ones, so I handed him a twenty thinking he would give me back the 2 fives, instead, he handed me 2 ones and some change. when i tried to tell him that i handed him a twenty and he kept the two fives as well, he argued with me and showed me 3 fives that were all wrinkled and would not budge. This is the best Chinese takeout in Tulsa. I have been eating here for years. Anytime I'm with someone and they suggest fast Chinese, I suggest Sezchuan Express. I have been to many other takeout places and they just don't compare. Start off with some egg rolls, they are fresh. My go to dish is the chicken lo mien. Theirs uses a thin sliced chicken that is very tasty and clean of any fatty or chewy parts. The biggest turn off for me is fatty, chewy chicken. The lo mien also has a perfect ratio of meat to veggie to noodle. A lot of places are too heavy on the veggie in my opinion. Another favorite of mine is the peppered beef. Just like the chicken, their beef is not fatty or chewy. The sauce is very tasty and sautéed with green pepper and onion. It comes with a side of fried rice. My wife loves their broccoli beef and lemon chicken. The place is pretty small but there's almost always an open seat, many people do takeout or go through their drive through. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Definitely stop in when in the mood for some quick Chinese takeout. read more

I don't get annoyed easily, but he has had an attitude the last 2 times I've been through the drive through, so much so, that I snapped and told him to chill and let me order. My 2nd review this week of this eatery... My friend wanted Chinese to go today, so being the gentleman I am, I came back to this place. Just had their item #33 - Sezchaun Style Beef., $5.75 incl. tax. I had a taste for something a little spicy, and even at 1 star hot, this dish was plenty hot for me. Thank goodness for the 2 scoops of well-cooked rice. The beef itself was tender, just not enough in my to-go container. There was far more celery than anything else besides the fried rice. Just a few pieces of carrot, green onion and peanuts. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of celery, so I ate less than 1/2 of the celery, and that left about 20 good sized pieces - 'nuff said. In short, I much preferred the Mongolian Beef that I had earlier in the week. So, If you like spicy beef, this item (#33) or #38 Hunan Beef might work for you - but don't expect a generous portion of meat. My friend had the Orange Chicken and was a very happy camper. I almost gave this place 2 stars - but the staff was friendly and quick, and I feel there was nothing so abysmally wrong with our first (but probably last) visit to warrant giving it only 2. That being said, I am astounded at the many reviews stating "THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE TAKEOUT IN TULSA!!!" First - you have to realize that EVERY SINGLE CHINESE RESTAURANT DOES TAKE OUT! So are you basically saying this is the best Chinese restaurant in all of Tulsa? I've only been to two here so far, and I must admit it is a close tie as to which one is worse. I'm likely to give that honor to "Chopsticks" mostly because it is pricier and was more of a let down compared to what it was built up to be. The Orange Chicken here was average, but the accompanying "fried" rice was unrecognizable to that title. Wonton soup was extremely salty, and the broth was not right in some other unidentifiable way. Though the dumplings themselves were not bad. The veggie lo-mein seemed to be something out of a can - not inedible, but unremarkable bordering on "sustenance." Went to try this place after work one day. Coming from, New York, I thought it wasn't too spectacular of a place, but in Tulsa, it was the first Chinese place I decided to go to. Ordered the dumplings, a Pepsi and the pork eggplant with garlic sauce. I ended up getting something else - no worries I'll settle with anything. I think I got some stirfry with pork and vegetables, and for $13.21, I wasn't too overly content. The dumplings were crispy. And juicy inside. Not bad! I hated that they were a bit small. I'd probably liked it to have been a dollar or two less. The stir-fry whatever meal I got was okay. The pork was fried, and the sauce was a bit overwhelming, but the rice was there I guess. It wasn't white rice nor fried rice - honestly had no idea what kind but I wasn't fond of it. It feels like any of those fastfood takeout Chinese places out in the city, but I liked the casual atmosphere it had. No one was here at around 8PM so I just enjoyed my food alone. Would I recommend this place? Eh. Honestly nothing too special. I guess if you're hungry for Chinese food it can't hurt. Otherwise, there are better places I guess. Its not bad food. This used to be so good and consistent and run by the nicest most accommodating people in Tulsa. For over a year we have averaged 3-4 meals per week and the food was always good. The new female running the shop is rude and almost condescending. They are not very traditional but they make a few dishes like sesame chicken that are so good they are addicting. However, the last two orders of the chicken were barely edible, nothing like the dish we have had hundreds of times. First one was so salty and dry we could not eat it. The second one was better but it was too sweet and hardly resembled our old favorite. Due to the attitude of the new woman and the now poorly prepared food we will not be back. They might be a little more expensive but there are way better Asian options in Tulsa. read more

Best Chinese takeout in town! It's not greasy, well seasoned, and cooked fresh to order. The orange chicken has a nice kick to it and is perfectly crispy. I found the lemon chicken a little bland, but it was good. The moo moo gai pan was divine and will be my go to dish here. The portions are large with reasonable prices. I'll preface my comment by acknowledging this is a drive-thru Chinese restaurant which can't ever be stellar, but it's well reviewed which may throw off someone looking for great food... they use potatoes as filler in a few dishes instead of meat and/or vegetables...supposedly spicy dishes had a pronounced and unwelcome sweetness, which I hypothesize is from preparing different dishes in the same pots and pans...accoutrements (dumplings, egg rolls) tasted decent for the price but picking a full potato worth of cubes out of my dish turned me right off. poorly bagged, and thusly spilled dishes didn't help...this is probably my 10th poor experience from a "well reviewed" Tulsa restaurant, and I'm getting the impression the people here are just accustomed to garbage and overappreciative of marginally decent food and service. read more
